Wind #5

Forgive the Wind

Rate this book
Any cowboy can ride the range, rope steers, wrangle with rustlers. But it takes a true hero to rise above tragedy and triumph over adversity.

Caleb Conners had returned from battle a changed man, uncertain whether he could still meet the rugged demands of ranging in Wyoming, unwilling to take up the drawing that had once been his life. With only half a leg, could he really perform as a whole man?

Amanda Myers knew what it meant to live without hope, without dreams. For years she had been forced to do the will of others, but now she'd landed in a safe haven on Lynch Ranch, bolstered by smiling faces, the laughter of children, and Caleb. When she looked upon his portrait of her, she saw a new vision of herself. Through his eyes she rediscovered her own purity and strength of purpose, and in him she found the enduring love she'd prayed for.

Two wounded souls, two hopeful hearts—with a little help from their friends they'd find a joy that could soar above all life's troubles.

I've always been a writer. Ever since I could remember my biggest desire was to put words to paper. Finally my dreams of publication came true in 2002 with the release of Chase The Wind, the first book in my historical family saga. But I've also looked to the stars since I was a small girl. Which led to my writing of Futuristic Action Romance under the pen name Colby Hodge. And since I've got a knack for relating to teens, I also enjoy writing for them under the name Kassy Tayler.

And just so you know a bit about me. I've been married for several years to the man of my dreams. We've also raised two exceptional sons and enjoy life in the shadow of Pilot Mountain in NC where we share our home with a long haired dauschund and a cat who thinks she's the queen of the world.

This is a wonderful book! It's a good read with a diverse cast of characters who form a big, happy family of friends. However, my only issue is that I bought this book alone and didn't have the chance to read the other books in the series. As a result, I found it difficult to keep up with the story because I had no knowledge of the previous passages. I ended up dropping it at 50 pages. If you have the opportunity to read the entire series, I highly recommend it! It's definitely worth the read.

Very enjoyable story. Haven't read any of the books between this and Chase the Wind, but was able to figure out most of what happened in the meantime.

Great series

I suggest you get all six books in the series now. ONCE you start you are going to want to go straight through. I am surprised that it isn't offered as a set. She is a great writer that puts you in the story. I felt like I knew these people personally. Loved every minute of all six books. Just wish there was a next one.

Bad story with too many characters and a strange mix of theology.
