Loving me is a death sentence she doesn’t deserve…
SLASH
I thought my little brother was safe from the dangerous life I lead as the VP of the Cascade Reapers. I was wrong.
With the MC that killed him causing trouble in my hometown, it’s the perfect opportunity to exact revenge on the Iron Serpents—but Sadie Powell, the desk clerk at the crappy motel I’m staying at, wasn’t part of the plan.
I can’t let another innocent person get hurt because of me—but it might already be too late.
His world is a scary place—so why do I feel safest in his arms?
SADIE
I’ve spent my life keeping my head down, working hard and being invisible. And it’s worked out for me just fine—until a tattooed biker waltzes into the Packwood Motel and sees me.
I know it can’t be a coincidence that danger finds me practically the moment he enters my life, but I also know he’d die before he let me get hurt.
I want a future where neither of us gets hurt, but maybe that’s too much to ask. Maybe I’m stupid for even hoping. But now that I know what it feels like to be wanted by him, I don’t think I’d survive without it.

If this was not an indie author, my review would have been very harsh but, as an indie book, I think this has future potential
MC romances are my drug I am addicted to them I've read hundreds of them
that is why it was easy to pick up all the issues in the book but as I said, this has the potential to be a good Dark MC romance because the overall story is solid and fast-paced.
the first issue is that because it was fast-paced, the relationship between Slash and Sadie didn't have enough time to bloom. One minute they meet, next they are in love and can't live without each other.
the 180 change in Sadie's attitude is surprising. She was so adamant that what she is doing is for her sister's education. She is happy to sacrifice her time, work, and money for her little sister. But the minute she meets Slash, all that flies away! She gets attacked and immediately asks Slash if she can stay with him because she didn't want to be alone?! but she is living with her parents and sister! Then she has no problem staying with Slash without giving any explanation. I know she is an adult, but for 24 years she was living with her parents, they deserve a little explanation. also, there is no mention of what her sister will do because Sadie just up and left to marry Slash. again, she is not responsible for her sister, but the way she was so proud of what she was doing to her sister really left a bad message "i'll help you all you want until the man of my dreams comes, then you are on your own"
having said that, Sadie, compared to some other FL in MC books I've read, is a strong match to Slash. She may be shy, but can hold her own and blend in the MC brutal world
now let's talk about Slash. In the world of MCs, never send a brother alone to do something related to another MC. The Reapers two times let Slash go alone to face a situation that is dangerous to him. He is the VP! He went to search for his young brother's body, and later in the book went to rescue Sadie. both times he told his president. Both times Brick sent him alone.
Also, since this was the first book in the series, we did not get the tier in the MC. Who is the treasurer, the road captain, SA, enforcer? this should all be introduced in Book 1. Suddenly we have a guy named Shark giving advice to Slash at the end, who is he?
the final thing, this book needs serious editing. I am not one to judge by spelling, grammar and syntax issues, and I am not going to do that here. But, there was a lot in the book. However, the problem was also in the out-of-no-where information. At first, we see Slash finding his brother's body near his motorcycle, later he says that the Serpents came after his parents and brother at their house?! huh!
I do hope this author continues writing. I see a future for improvement and great books. but I advise having a circle of Alpha and Beta readers first.
The book had potential but there were too many unfinished business. For example, what happened to the MC who sold them out? Such a betrayal should have been addressed. Also, the book is based on Slash avenging his brother and the MC backing him up if they found any evidence but nothing came of it even though Sadie took care of one of them. Like I said, too many unanswered questions.

Slash is the VP of the Cascade Reapers. He wants revenge from the Iron Serpent for the murder of his brother. Slash meets Sadie at the Motel that she works at in Packwood when he goes to investigate the trouble Iron Serpents are causing.
This was a quick read with the danger to Sadie and the connection between Sadie and Slash kept the book interesting. The book was good but I felt like there was some things left out or I was confused on. When they leave Sadie behind how did the Iron Serpents just no longer want to harm her? If you are looking for a light quick story about MC give this story a chance. This is part of a series.
This is the first book by this author that I've read and I really enjoyed this story. It is MC lite, but Slash was all alpha ;) Sadie, content with her small town life to make sure her sis gets her uni dreams, has an instant connection with Slash. She grew to be so strong, willing to face down her parents, the MC and the danger to be with him. This story had me on the edge of my seat and fanning myself over the steam, making it an engaging page turner :D I'm really looking forward to the next book to see if we can learn more of the Cascade Reapers MC, and who will get their HEA ;D
Sadie is a small town girl that works at the motel in town and is ok with the simple life. Daniel aka Slash is the the VP of the Cascade Reapers and is out for revenge foe the death of his young brother. This book was a fast paced, action packed, sometimes unbelievable, edge of your seat read. If you’re looking for a quick motorcycle club read this is the book for you.

Slash was a character to respect & like. He was all alpha. Sadie grew so strong & you had to admire her stand despite her fear. The chemistry was sizzling between them with suspense along the way. The club sounds interesting. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Slash is VP of Cascade Reaper's MC and Sadie is the lucky girl who caught his attention in this steamy, fast paced, quick read. This is my first read by this author and wasn't a bad way to start. The story is engaging and the chemistry between these characters is hot, hot, hot. Can't wait for book 2 in this series.
This is the 1st book I have read by this author. It follows the relationship between Slash VP of the Cascade Reapers and Sadie. There is a good balance of action and romance in the story which is well written. I will certainly look for more work by this author especially in this series.
