Book 45 and Still Love it!


I really enjoy the way that Jack and Sarah solve their crime cases together and this story didn’t disappoint. (Except that Jack still didn’t propose).

Jack and Sarah have so much chemistry between them. Why do they each have to live alone?

Didn’t so much love the story on this one but it was interesting. I had it figured out a little faster on this one but still enjoyed the twists and turns. I do love Jack and Sarah so overall enjoyed the read.

Some nice light reading and a trip to Cherringham. Jack and Sarah are asked to investigate the feud between two neighbors that resulted in the murder of one. It looks like an open-and-shut case, but looks can be deceiving.

My quick thoughts and rating:
From beginning to end, “Bad Neighbours” is a sheer delight. I give it 10 thumbs up.

With irrefutable evidence stacked high, Brian Foley, a boisterous business owner, is charged with murdering his persnickety and nosy neighbor, Arthur Cranham. Adding to the situation, Brian was heard threatening to kill Arthur shortly before Arthur's untimely demise. Jack and Sarah take on the impossible task of proving Brian’s innocence and set out to find the actual killer. Can they do it?

Matthew Costello and Neil Richards have done it again with this perfectly written tale of mystery mixed with just the right dash of suspense.

If you opt for the audio version, you won’t be disappointed. It’s superbly narrated by Neil Dudgeon, known to so many as DCI John Barnaby in Midsomer Murders. He masterfully and vividly brings the story and all the characters to life.

If it were a film, Mr. Costello and Mr. Richards would certainly win the Oscar for best screenplay. And Mr. Dudgeon would win Oscars in all actor categories.

An absolute must for all Cozy Mystery lovers.

I have read all of the series and this is my least favorite. Seemed patched together. Oh well, maybe the next will make up for it!

A good book to listen too when you clean the house. It gives you ”Midsomer murders” wibes. It is fun to try to figure out how the guilty person is. Jack is a retired cop from US, Sarah is a singel mom and they solves crime together. This one was about a murder.
