‘*‘ Meine Meinung ‘*‘

This book is for people who want to practice Spanish and have a low level. I think it is a great book and does exactly what it means to do.

Vacaciones al sol was a fun and enjoyable short story. I enjoyed the plot and the characters and because I read it in Spanish I also learned a lot of new vocabulary which is always good. Though because it was such a short book that mainly focused on the plot, the characters didn’t really develop or affect me that much. But overall a solid 3 star read.

Though to rate these books that are aimed at language leaning / building.

Story and plot is quite generic, but it kind of has to be, to make it easier to relate and fill in the knowledge gaps you have from the language barrier.

This is the first of the Lola Lago books and is very enjoyable. It's brisk and simple, my type of Spanish fiction. The setting makes it even better: the Costa Brava of Spain. Highly recommended for those of us trying to keep our Spanish knowledge refreshed. I only wish the story was longer.

This was a lot of fun if you are looking for a book to practice Spanish. Written at the A1 level so if you are a beginner and you’ve gotten past the basics this is a good choice. I have already downloaded another in the series to continue my daily practice. There are numbered footnotes that you don’t need to look up while reading the story but they are interesting to read once you are finished with the story.

Found this book I read back in school when I was maybe 14, and it gave me the idea of trying to read in Spanish again for some practice.
Any recommendations?
I'm definitely not quite yet at a level where I can read Gabriel García Marquez, but I would like to discover some South/Central American authors!

Spaans lezen in combinatie met luisteren, viel me reuze mee.

I had to look up way more words than I care to admit, but this little "book" is the first one I have ever read in Spanish, so I'm still incredibly proud and had to include it on my read books list anyway.

Good for improving Spanish skills. The story is fun, has the characters using idiomatic phrases, and even gives information about the locale and Spanish customs.

Maybe (ok, definitely) I know Spanish not really well (yet), but it could be so much better without "chewing out" the culmination and the final part.
