Not bad considering Loeb wrote it.
The artwork is really the star of the show, because the story is just the Wolverine-Finds-Out-More-About-His-Past stuff. And God knows they'll never be done telling that story.
But the art? Stunning!
Simone Bianchi really created something beautiful here. Every page is worth staring at for at least a few minutes.
Honestly, I'm betting that it made the story easier to digest, because I didn't even realize Jeph had a hand in this thing until the end.
Yeah, yeah, his name is one the cover in huge letters, but I was too busy flipping though the pages to notice until I got it home.

The story goes sort of like this:
Sabretooth is back!
I didn't know he was dead, so I felt like I hadn't properly mourned his passing. :(
Anyway, Dagger gets kidnapped, which forces Cloak to seek out Wolverine's help in getting her back.
Watch out, Logan! It's a TRAP!
But the trap has perks. There's a hot redheaded ninja gal who claims to know Wolverine from before, and evidently they did a lot of the kissy-face stuff in the past.
Lots of fighting, a few secrets are revealed, and Logan gets the girl.
The end.

I usually stay away from titles that feature only Wolverine, because I don't normally find them super-awesome.
Also, as most of you know, I'm severely prejudiced against Canadians.
Damn dirty Canucks!

But this was pretty cool.
And if nothing else, the purdy pictures are worth taking a look at.

It was a continuation of Wolverine: Evolution story by the same creative team. Here, they tried too hard to shock you with what they added to Wolverine's history with Weapon X program... They really wanted to shock the Wolverine fans to the core with this story, but it didn't achive that for me... I was more like this better be not true... HA HA ! And in the end, The Explanation was everything that they added to the Wolverine's history in this story might not be true, it was unknown, all of these might be planted false memories in to Wolverine's brain... (they better be... HA HA !) And this made reading the story kind of a waste of time because there wasn't really a conculusion. Wolverine absurtly quit chasing Creed. He was like, ''i can't let that maniac go free in the world again !'' Then he just let him go in the end... HA HA ! And everything added to Wolverines history might be just bull---- that there was not a clear explanation, if the memories were true or false made the story kind of a really waste of time to read... Even if there was anyone who shocked by what they added to the Wolverine's history got robbed from that shock by how things left unclear in the end...

My edition of this volume was oversized. It's an interesting story. Wolverine starts remembering what appears to be images from perhaps over a thousand years ago of a lupine race that we was a member of that went about conquering and raiding. It appeared Sabertooth was a compatriot there. It flashed back to Sabertooth killing a girl Wolverine loved just to spite him (Silver Fox in 1800s Canada). The flashbacks are interspersed between Wolverine finding and attacking Sabertooth to finally end him life. If he is the best at what he does, and killing is what he does, finally ending Sabertooth's life does not seem unreasonable based on their history.

But, are these flashbacks real? Who is in the background pulling the strings? The Weapon X curtain gets pulled back a little more than I've seen before.

Christmas Haul: Part 1 of 3

Not bad! So to start off with the pros the art is excellent, beautifully drawn! The dialogue is very well written its just the overall story which is overall just very generic and we have pretty much seen it many times in both movie and comic. Overall i recommend this if you can get it cheap!

This continues the story of Wolverine as he is finding about Romulus and he does and he goes to take the fight to him but is beset by other challenges, a reborn Sabretooth and a mystery woman named Remus is there and she explains whats going on and the final fight between Romulus and Wolverine start and we learn of his goal and what not and the fight is epic and the conclusion predictable. Its not a bad story, just something predictable. Romulus was a good villain I wish they did more of that and gave us more info about Remus. The art was not that good here but does a fair job of showing the claws of the heroes and villains.

English (but not so good) / Italiano
No rebirth, only a chaotic rush... and then the origins of Sabretooth that seem like a parody...

Italiano
Nessuna rinascita, solo una caotica rissa… e poi le origini di Sabretooth che sembrano una parodia…

I would love to give this 3 stars at least just for Simone Bianchi's art...But Loeb's writing is so bad it needs negative stars. What was this shit?

Simone Bianchi illustrates this story so beautifully. There is such a painterly quality to his work.

Jeph Leob does a decent job penning the script. It’s a pretty simple story but it’s a lot of fun and not too drawn out.

I recommend.

I liked the first part of the story collected in Wolverine Evolution better. It still has the beautiful art by Simone Bianchi. It's still as bloody and gory as the first part but this part felt a little rushed. The payoff came a little too soon and wasn't that great. The buildup in Wolverine Evolution was so big, that I expected a better payoff than we get in Wolverine Sabretooth Reborn.

Still I like the way Wolverine is written, it really feels like Wolverine. The same goes for Sabretooth.
I own the hardcover edition and it has some nice extras in the back. Some sketches an interview with Jeph Loeb and some covers.

I still recommend it to any Wolverine fan like myself. I'm glad I read this and Wolverine Evolution.
I gave it 3 stars, because there's so much out there that's better. That doesn't mean this isn't any good, it's just not great.

A quanto pare... no.

Deludentissimo.

wants to bring Sabretooth back to life. The trail leads to the Weapon X Project, where Logan was given claws and had adamantium bonded to his bones. There, he discovers a mysterious redhead who fights alongside Wolverine as he discovers dozens and dozens of clones of Sabretooth...an army ready to start a new empire.

This story is not really a stand-alone narrative. A previous volume detailed the death of Sabretooth, which obviously didn't last long. Without the background, the plot is still comprehensible though I didn't feel like the stakes were really high or compelling. The art is really great though Sabretooth's look is different from what I have experienced before. This book reads quickly but is a bit underwhelming.

Not recommended unless you have been in the continuity, then it might make more sense or be more compelling.

This comic was really fun to read, the art style was really nice and I generally like Wolverine. The premise of Sabertooth returning to fight him. I am not overly familiar with Romulus and Remus in the Marvel context but the characters seemed interesting. It was still fun to read out of the blue even if I did not fully understand what was going on in terms of the plot. I borrowed this book spur of the moment from my father in law. Would recommend for any Wolverine fan.

Fast paced and action packed. This is the first I’ve read of this line as it’s the one my library had- but I enjoyed it. I liked seeing some clock and dagger, I haven’t seen much of them before despite them having cool powers! The additions to Logan’s past seem a little contrived and I’m not sure how I feel about them. Most importantly tho, did you know she had an accent— Italian with a hint of Japanese!! (Why was this repeated so much☠️)

If you haven't read much of Wolverine Origins and know nothing about Romulus, you will not fully get this book.

However, there is enough within these volumes to give you the information you need to grasp the plot of this collection.

Go read about Daken and Wolvie's origins first, then come back to this one.

A story no one wanted happens. Loeb and Bianchi both stumble through this terrible book. Completely undercutting a previous storyline by adding characters to and plot points that no one ever wanted. Romulus and Remus are awful and dilute everything interesting about Wolverine. The art is dark and unpleasant. This book was a nightmare.

Bianchi’s art is impressive but a little muddy and repetitive. Loeb is Loeb. When he’s not working with Tim Sale you know it’s going to be a rough ride. All of this Romulus stuff is so dumb, I’m glad it’s mostly been ignored.

This is entertaining in the way that "popcorn" comic books are. There isn't much substance here in the plot, and much like Loeb and Bianchi's last run on Wolverine, which this is a sequel to, I think the story elements are best forgotten. Bianchi's art is nice to look at, but the comic itself is forgettable. Skippable at worst; unmemorable at best.

Stock standard Wolverine mysterious past story, with the requisite hints that all is not as he remembers it, the expected all-powerful villain from the past who wants to recruit and kill him in equal measure, the sexy redhead who... and ho and hum. There's a pointless cameo from the umptywhateverth incarnation of Cloak and Dagger, and Sabretooth is impossibly resurrected from seemingly undeniable death again and the whole thing is really just something that's all been seen before, and this time, the elements aren't really even mixed up all that hard. There's some excellent art, and Jeph Loeb's as competent as he always is, but that's all this really is: competent, with nothing in it to set the pulse racing or excite the imagination.

This was a good, quick read. Once I started it, I read it to the end in one sitting. Then again, this is a compilation of three comic issues, so it is not terribly long. Up front, I will say that the art is excellent, and that alone makes it worth a look. The story is pretty good; it can stand alone, but if you have kept up with previous installments of this arc, you may appreciate it more. Sabretooth, who was thought to be dead, returns to once again take on Wolverine. Sabretooth is not alone, as there is another villain, and a mysterious redhead. And we all know how redheads are a weakness for Wolverine. A pretty good story for a nice, quick read.

An OK story until Loeb starts piling new retcons upon retcons in Wolverine's origin, with the results being increasingly unreadable. His decision to stack together several disparate elements of Wolverine lore also isn't a particularly strong one. Finally, though the story is theoretically about "Sabretooth reborn", Loeb has Sabretooth take a back seat, resulting in there being almost no examination of that resurrection.

I like Loeb's writing, and I liked how he killed Sabertooth previously, it was kind of a worthy death. That's why I didn't liked (entirely) his revival in this issues, at points it seemed so forced, but at pointed it looked very disturbing. The art is awesome, and its an entertaining reading, but it ends as another excuse for bringing a dead character to life.
