Vickie's novels have consistently appeared on Amazon’s Top 100 lists in Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense and mystery / thriller. She writes what she loves to read -- heartwarming romance laced with suspense, heart-pounding thrillers, and riveting mysteries. Vickie loves to write about compelling and down-to-earth characters in settings that stay with her readers long after they've finished her books.

She's the author of twenty novels and numerous short stories with no plans to slow down. She's looking at a busy 2017, adding a new book, Beneath Winter Sand, to her Pelican Pointe Series and releasing a fifth Skye Cree book, Truth in the Bones. Plus, she has plans to begin a brand new series, in a brand new setting. Stay tuned for updates by subscribing to her mailing list.

Vickie writes full-time. But when she does take a break from banging out the next novel, she loves to get outside. Even though hanging out at the beach is at the top of her list, there's nothing quite like a long, soul-searching walk through the woods, daylight preferred, of course.

Pelican Pointe novel #4

Another installment in a great series. This volume added a good who-dun-it element to the story, as each book includes a bit of a mystery or crime to keep it interesting, not too sugary sweet. This, plus a well written cast of characters, is keeping me interested to continue through the series - in a genre I only occasionly visit.

Entertaining. Recommend whether you are a Contemporary Romance fan, or just looking to take a break from your usual reads.

A story after this murder mystery fan's heart!

After reading the first four books in this series, I liked this one the most! I am really enjoying the well developed characters and storylines of this series very much. This one, however, went down the road of my favorite genre -- the suspenseful murder mystery. The series I love best definitely has hot romance going on, a topic Ms. McKeehan does very well, though they are heavier on the mystery. This time out she covered that very well, too, right along with the hot new romance she is so good at! Well done!

I really liked this book! It had everything i like in a story: murder, mystery, romance, good sex, family, friends, drama and a small town setting. And that lighthouse, o my i loved that. The tension kept building right till the end when we found out who the murders were and that was a surprise. This book got me out of a 2 month reading slump so pretty happy about that. This was book number 4. Just found out i have number 2,5 and 8 also. So gonna start with book 2 in the morning.

This was very good another addition to the series.
I did get a little tired of the hero always jumping to conclusions. You would think he would stop after a couple of times.
All and all a good read

I would give this novel 100 stars. Lighthouse Reef reminded me of my late father. Two months before he passed a friend from his youth visited. Up until that time, I have never imagined my parents as young people; teenagers, twenty-somethings- out having fun.. We met them as adults so we never think about them as young people.
That Logan carried the angst of his sister's disappearance for 20 odd years and had the strength to return to the place of her disapperance to discover what happened to her, is a testimony to the craftsmanship of Vickie McKeehan. The plot was on point(no pun intended) from the first sentance.
That the reader keeps circling back to the beginning; Baby Scott, Baby Nate, expected Baby Meghan reminds the reader that even in death there is life.
In an age where women are disappearing off the face of the earth, Vickie McKeehan gives us hope.
Hpe that there are Logans, Ethans, Nicks and others out there championing the case of missing and exploited people.
It made me as a reader reflect on those people who we uphold as exemplars in society, realizing all too often that while society may hold them in high esteem,we really do not know anything about them when they get behind closed doors.
This is a 100****** read. A noel for our times and a recommended read for all the right reasons.

Just fantastic

Every single book in this series has left me with tears in my eyes and goosebumps on my arms. I really love the spiritual connection in all of these books. I have read countless books in my years, but this series has been one of the best. Few books have left an impression such as the one the Pelican Pointe series has. Absolutely fantastic. I will be taking this series with me in my heart on into my own writing career! Books such as these give life to my own dreams. PLEASE keep up the wonderful work!

A new author for me with Vickie McKeehan. When I picked the book, Lighthouse Reef, I figured it was a romance and didn't expect the suspense and thriller aspect. But it certainly was worth the read. We meet a poor girl who has put herself through law school, Kinsey Wyatt and Logan Donnelly, a world known sculptor. The surprise element is what happened in the small coastal town over the past 25 years and who helps the pair solve the mystery. Enjoy being surprised and try to guess who the bad guys are!

Finding answers to the past

Kinsey is a new lawyer that never went to law school but ace'd the bar exam on the first try. When the lawyer in pelican pointe decided to hire her she was thrilled and determined to prove what she knew. Logan met her a few days later and from the start They argued but eventually they came together and helped each other solve a long time murder mystery. And of course scott came to the rescue and helped get some answers.

Kinaey lands a job as a lawyer in a small town. There she meets Logan . He's there to restore the town's historic lighthouse, but that's not the only reason he's moved in town. A suspenseful story with lots of twists in the plot to keep you reading.

It was a good story. It had a decent plot and kept my interest.

First book I read in the series so I was lost in keeping track of previous characters and there were a lot of them.

Vickie did it again. We never know what people have gone through or going through. Logan and Kinsey has such different lives but grief brought together.
