This is a guide to the main paintings of the museum, and also, in its last pages, it portrays some of the many buildings that host the Russian Museum Collection. It is the museum in Russia there's the largest collection of Russian artworks within Russia, exceeding even the The Hermitage and the Tretyakov gallery in that regard.

Illustrations are excellent. Very well-chosen and representative.
