Not sure if my previous review got posted but needed to check up on something first. As I had mentioned first time reading this author and went ahead and purchased the entire Last Call series. I was very pleased with the story lines of each book, but if was also very disappointed. After the author made me get involved with the characters she leaves me hanging wanting to know what happened after. I understand it's just a hookup place, but still I e Wanted to know more only in one is there a reference to a previous couple. Example: what happened to Zoe and Conner?(Kamikaze). Casey and Ben(Hurricane) we hear about them through Caitlin on book four, but what happened to Robert? Then we have Evelyn, Kieran and Zach(Tequila Sunrise) what happened with Zach and his love for a human? Was Evelyn able to suppress her alpha in order to be with Kieran?Or is their relationship doomed? On book four we find virginal Caitlin and demon Leo(Virgin Daiquiri) did Leo stand up against her family? If so what happened? Especially when her family found out she had gone and messed up their plans?book five and six while answered many questions of what happened afterwards there where still aspects that could've been covered like how would Kelsey a siren and Cole a reaper make their relationship work? How bout how she would feel when he had to go to work:-)? Book six also questions. Phoebe(a Phoenix who burns every thousand weeks how would that transition be like? What would she would come back looking like? Jarrett mentioned he had not gone to hell in a while but that he might have to a some point. What then? Would the underground want him to live up to his "potential"? As you can all see I have thousands of questions. But don't get me wrong I enjoyed the series very much
The four stories in this collections are short, sexy and hot. Last Call is a bar where you tend to go to meet your 'specific' needs. Check out the menu if you don't believe me. These stories are all incredibly well written and will draw you into them. The only downside I would say is that once the story is finished, that's it as far as the characters go, with the exception of Ben who is the owner of Last Call. He gets a mention in one of the other stories. But that's it, you will hear no more about Zoe and Connor or any of the others.
For something quick, easy and spicy to read, then why not give Last Call a go!
I read each of these individually and love them all. I love the concept of the club and the stories are great for a quick read before turning out the light when I go to bed. These books got me started reading Moira Rogers and I now have a goal to finish every book they've published! I haven't regretted a single moment spent reading a book by these gals!
