*publishers note. This series was previously published as "Resurrection: A Zombie Epic". Now edited to fit a ten part series format.

An ultra-secret Army medical project has gone wrong, terribly wrong. An experimental biological agent has been released into the air. Now it's coming down in the rain, reanimating dead tissue. And as the streets flood and the water rises, trapping hundreds of people in Witcham, the evil dead are reactivated with an insatiable hunger for the living.

I downloaded this one for free, just to give myself a taste of what Tim Curran had to offer. One short plane flight later and I was hurrying to The Book Depository to order my paperback copy of the entire book. This was a fantastic, pulse-pounding start that was very reminiscent of Stephen King's The Mist, which just happens to be my favourite novella of all time. Can Curran make 666 (or so) pages about zombies attacking people in a town following a flood as incredible as King's effort? I can't wait to find out ...

Very enjoyable short story. Nice little take on the zombie uprising with plenty of action, good characterisations and a decent amount of horror and gore. Think I'll be carrying on with the rest of this series when I get a chance.

I enjoyed the first part of this series. I will definitely read the rest. No lags, I was interested the whole way through. Good characters, good descriptions of the gory parts, and a solid zombie experience (If I have to explain it, you're not really a zombie fan) made this author stand out for me.
