I read this book 20 years ago when recovering from spinal surgery and just happened to uncover it when looking through some old belongings. Figured I'd give it another shot not remembering much about it other than a vague notion of spiciness.

It's spicy in a 1980s way. There's quite a few "erotic" scenes between characters as well as a few child abductions, psychological torture and a few murders.

The story centres around an shadowy organisation that has occult powers to control people, and a woman with psychic who previously escaped and is out to get them.

It's not terrible or anything but it's definitely B grade territory. If there was information on the series about I would buy the next one just to see where the story goes as the ending is pretty good, but alas, there's not (that I could find).

It would also appear that The Possession of Jessica Young & The Education of Jennifer Parrish also take place within the universe of this story, potentially beforehand as in this novel Jessica Young has escaped the organisation already. I don't own the other books so can't say for sure but if interested in them it'ld be worth your while to work out what order they're meant to be read in.
