love the Kali Sweet Series. Where else can you get a snarky, vengeance demon who loves humans and kicks ass? The third book in the series, Sweet Soldier is just as action packed as the first two. I always wonder how Misty is going to top the last book but she always does. In Sweet Soldier, it is up to Kali to stop the coming apocalypse. No pressure or anything, Kali!
Kali has a lot of men in her life that want to do her bidding. After reading the first two books, I have developed a crush on Damon, Kali's boss, but not the hero in the book. Radison "Rad" Beaumont is the hero. He is the sexy, rocking Chaos Demon who falls short of my (and Kali's) expectations sometimes but often there is so much going on in the books that no one has time to dwell on that. Then we have Alexandru, the Master Vamp whose blood Kali needs to stay strong. Dru would like nothing more than to take Kali to bed, and is a big source of the chaos that happens when Rad is around and sees Dru trying to lure Kali away. We also have Cole, her War demon bodyguard and close friend. Love that guy.
But, in Sweet Soldier, on top of all the men causing Kali unnecessary craziness in her life she has real issues to tend to, namely saving the world from the Apocalypse.Throw in the Pope, Lucifer, some torture and you have a pretty exciting story that doesn't slow down until the end of the book. Something that makes these books great is that there is never just one obstacle Kali has to overcome - there are many. In Sweet Soldier Kali even makes a trip over to Vatican City! There are many surprises in this book and wish I could talk about them without spoiling the story!
Misty does a fantastic job with Sweet Soldier. She finds the perfect balance of action and romance. I love how Kali has grown so much over the past couple of books. If you love Urban Fantasy, I highly recommend you give Sweet Soldier a try. If you don't normally love Urban Fantasy, I still say you should try Misty's Kali Sweet series. I know you will love them.

In Sweet Solider, vengeance demon Kali has a lot on her plate: Pestilence, the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, has been spreading disease around Chicago; Noctifector (human trained to slay demons) and her beau's ex-bitch Parker is back; Maria, succubus, nemesis and seventh sin, has been resurrected again. Somehow Kali has to stop the coming apocalypse, but word is that will require Archangel Michael's sword or a deal with Lucifer.
I stumbled onto Misty Evan's Kali Sweet series earlier in this year and it just keeps getting better. In the first book, Revenge is Sweet, Kali considers herself an island. But with each book, we see her personal code (Don't take things personally. Don't get emotional.) begin to crumble. This is not a bad thing, however, as it allows her to become stronger through the strength of others.
If character growth throughout a series is important to you, you'll love this series. Secondly, Misty has the ability to refresh series readers without the dreaded info dumps. She seamlessly weaves the previous books' happenings into the current story in a way that never makes you feel like you're missing or forgetting something. So, if you like your UF with mix of supernaturals who work together to battle evil, threads of mystery and character growth throughout, and a splash of romance - you are sure to enjoy this series.

Wow, Misty Evans brought us the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in Sweet Soldier the third installment in the Kali Sweet series and the action was not stop intense. Kali is up to her neck in chaos, her nemesis Queen Maria is back and so is Lucifer. We see growth in Kali especially in the romance department and I loved her little chat with Di. Rad is back and hotter than ever but he is one of the horsemen and Kali needs to decide if she can kill the man she loves. I love all the banter between the characters and Kali is such a snarky kicking-ass! There is a softer side of her emerging that I loved discovering even if it makes her want to barf. Evans delivers a wonderfully paced tale, and skillfully fleshing out characters that I have come to adore. She rips one of my favorites away from us and it broke my heart. I am excited about some changes coming up in the series and cannot wait to read the next installment. Fans of action-packed urban fantasy with kick-ass, fleshed out characters, and well developed world-building this series is for you!

I know it is a GREAT series when I start reading and all the other books from before start flooding in to my head without the writer rehashing them. With some series I read, I have to do back and re-read (for a refresher) don't misunderstand I do enjoy the re-reading; however I know that I have REALLY enjoyed the books when the characters and their continued struggle are easy to recall. I really love this series, it has it all without over doing it. Action, love, heartache and more! Kali is kick a#$ and it has been a true pleasure to see her growth over these books. I cannot wait for the next one :)

Another jam packed supernatural awesome roller coaster ride.
Kalli Sweet is more than just a Vengeance Demon, she is also a hybrid concoction of magical awesomeness, but in the end all that counts is for Kalli to be her true self.
This series has kept me enthralled through 3 books and I would read more in a heartbeat, that's how good I've found these books.
Kalli Sweet is an amazing kick ass character who will do anything to save the ones she loves and the world and she is backed by amazing friends.

love this series!!
the story and action, the romance and the characters...a perfect mix and so easy to fall into.
Kali is a kick-ass heroine and yet vulnerable and has you cheering for her as if you were right there with her.

As usual an Urban Fantasy series this one is darker but it is still excellent and mostly hopeful with a great deal of tension. Great balance of character and plot. I loved it.
