One morning a student is found dead on a table in a café in Leuven/Louvain in Belgium. The girl is half naked. Her pubic hair is completely shaved. A drawing pencil sticks through her tongue and nearby is a sheet from a comic book depicting a rape scene. Chief Inspector Thomas Berg in this sixth case situated in Leuven/Louvain has never experienced anything like this before, in fact, the killer emailed him the crime scene himself with the correct coordinates. A few days later, Berg receives a similar email. Police again find a young woman who was raped, maimed and murdered in nearly identical circumstances. And again there is a page from a comic strip next to the body. From that moment on, the student city was in the grip of fear. Berg also fears that a completely twisted sadist, even a psychopath, will haunt Leuven, especially if there are more victims ...
Another very easy to read police thriller in which the first suspect is indeed a pig and the killer remains out of sight for most of the book even if his deeds are very visual and based upon comics.
Another well written thriller of Belgian origin, I enjoyed this second outing a lot.
