"Touching, loving, merciless and unforgiving, only a father knows how far he will go to protect the one’s he loves." Mickey has turned his back on the life of crime he had in London and since moving to Kent and opening a new law practice, he is striving to live a peaceful happy life with his new family. Then the past comes back to haunt him when Maria’s children are kidnapped by the sadistic, power hungry grandson of Dave Sheridan. With their lives in turmoil, Mickey does the only thing he knows and calls upon his friends in London to help him take down the Sheridan family, once and for all. He loves Jimmy’s children as though they were his own and he gives Maria his oath that he will get them back, or die trying. Maria realises that this terrible nightmare is no one’s fault, but simply another reminder of the life of crime Jimmy led for so long. She knows that to end the feud people are likely to die and she struggles to come to terms with what might happen. Unable to comprehend that it could end with her burying someone she loves. Her mind is in turmoil, but her priority is to protect her children above all else and at any cost. 'Ruthless' Series 1 - Mickey’s Way Book 3
Karen Clow is passionate about her writing especially her erotic crime books; as they cover topics which we all like to believe don’t happen, when in fact they do on a daily basis. Sex crimes along with women who live in fear of their partners are real. All her work comes from the heart which is reflected in her ability to write in different genres. Her books leave you believing in the topic and wanting to read more. She is fiercely protective over her family and has always endeavoured to have time for them and her writing, so it’s no surprise that she often writes during the night hours. With a genuine love of people and animals, she strives to help everyone in the hope of making their lives better, yet unbeknown to many of them she is also a published poet .
Another great storyline,I really enjoyed this book & I know it's a saga & that's the books I like. There is good & bad in every aspect of life.I feel it's heart warming to read that no matter how life can knock you down its being able to get back up & on with life .I am enjoying these books.I love escaping into a good story ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I don't understand why more people don't read this series!
I love this group of criminals!
It's like watching the movies Layer Cake or RocknRolla but with London gangster family life!
The series isn't really romance, considering what a huge disappointment as a hero Jimmy turned out to be in book 2. And to be honest, I was kinda bored with the first 15-20% of this book where the author established the family life and marriage of Mickey and Maria. After that, though, where the girls get kidnapped and on, I thought it was great.
Madeline, the smart mouthed 4-year-old, was the shining star of the book. She was hilarious.
Maria is a crybaby whiner, but she usually sees reason and shows strength in the end.
Mickey is an awesome husband and father who hasn't let that weaken him as a gangster.
The book was long, but worth it, and I look forward to reading Billy's Move next. I don't know how I'll feel about the book after that, Tony's Business, since Tony is worse than Jimmy was.
Another great follow on how Mickey survives following in Jimmys shows is a very unexpected tale. He lives up to his character but shows the soft side he has promised Maria although there is no end of drama. Fantastic series.
