The Year is 2225 and nothing is as it seems...

Damon Wright is alone in the world. His family was taken by the flu that wiped out half the population. Now, like many men, he fights to survive. One night on his way home, a terrified scream changes everything.

The thought of being sold like meat is what motivates Penny to run from home. The man who saves her couldn’t be further from a white knight. He has bruised knuckles and a bad attitude.

Damon is struck by Penny’s innocence and beauty while Penny can’t get the rough-talking, older man out of her mind. In a world gone mad, how can they consider of a future together? The only thing they have is hope.

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

Mrs. Crescent is back. I've been feeling like the last few books by Sam Crescent have been missing something and boy has she found it again. This book grabbed my attention from this first page and held my attention till I read The End. I flew through this book and loved every second. M3 was the answer to the worlds problems in 2100, with to many people and not enough food a scientist invented M3 as a food replacement but it all went terribly wrong. Now in 2225 the world is a different place and New York has been separated and is run by four different men. Damon is a protector for Don one of the New York rulers and Damon does that any way he needs to, one day while on his way home he stops a group of men from raping a girl and takes her under his wings to keep her safe. Woman don't have the luxury of walking freely it's to dangerous, but when Penny hears her father preparing to sell her she fleas and Damon saves her before several men harm her. This is a different world than the one Penny grew up in on the farm and she is one of the few innocent left. As Damon and Penny spend more time together they start to see that the other may just hold the answers to all of the things they ever wanted and all of the things they never dreamed they could have. As they are finding love and growing closer another ruler has his sights set on not only Don's territory but all of New York. This was a great book the world building was fantastic and I believed every word I read about this world it was fascinating and engrossing. Damon was another great hero that Sam created and I fell in love with him easily and quickly. He is possessive and strong and determined. We get to see another side to Sam Crescents talent and she is truly showing her talent in this book. I hope we get more story's in this new world there is so much that could still be told. This is a must read for any one who likes Sam Crescent or a great dystopian romance.

It didn't hold my interest

I am a huge Sam Crescent fan. I read the book as soon as they are in amazon. i just recently found this one. This book just didn't have the pull into the plot. I struggled to finish. I just didn't connect with the main characters. I am still a huge fan.

LIKED IT

Set in 2225 life on earth is grim and harsh. Damon works for one of the four leaders of New York. The city had been divided into 4 sectors, Damon works for Don one of the chosen leaders. Damon is a much feared and respected man, his nickname of mad dog refers to his prowess in the fighting cage.

One night on the way home from the sex club where he works he saves a young woman from being attacked. Penny is a runaway, she had left her family home when she discovered her parents intended to sell her, woman especially young ones were a commodity in this world.

I liked this story from one of my favourite authors, in a departure from her normal romances she has set this one in a dystopian future on earth. The characters are well portrayed and the story is believeable and well written. Of course there are the authors trademark hot sex scenes.

Not a bad read. Virgin female lead of course. With a male oversexed lead. I genuinely like this male lead he's got different facets to him like all of us. He is a fighter yes but he is not a mindless one. He has a conscience. When he decided to show her his point of view about their hard life, I was very surprised. I saw him completely. The female lead was to be expected. She was frightened and most of the time I wanted to slap her. But you get the why. She at times was whiny and other annoying things but that is life. You grow from what you experience and both of theses characters have done so.

4 stars. This book was more scifi material. But I like Damon "Mad Dog" Wright. I am a big fan of the author Sam Crescent. But this book was very interesting. I did like the Leading Characters they were unique. This also reminds me of Mad Max. Do not get me wrong, and I truly didn't offend the Author, but that is what it felt like. I would certainly would have love a story of Damon Wright in MMA book, he was to dayum sexy. Penny was just so innocent, that it was preferable to place in in a toy box. Loved the way he called her "Princess" It was a very good book.

One of the worst books....I could not believe how the characters acted, how they thought....the world building started out well but after that, did not seem realistic.....the scenes were choppy...the whole thing was a waste of my time.

The year is 2225, and life as we they know it has ceased to exist, Damon aka (Mad dog) is I suppose an enforcer and comes across Penny been violated, by a pack of horrid men. This is a wicked Dystopian read, I love this genre,I am huge Sam Crescent fan. I have followed her for some time and have all of her books. I haven't read them all, which is why I came across this little cracker today. Some people claim her books are to expensive I disagree. As far as I am concerned you get quality stories beautifully presented and always clambering for more. Whether she writes solo or with Jenika Snow or Stacey Espino always a damn good read and she just gets better and better. This I would recommend for anyone that enjoys reading Dystopia themed romance novels.
I have given it 4 stars. and not 5 because of one niggle which I will explain later on.There are sexual situations and violence but not so much that you are cringing it was tastefully done and I also loved the fact that all though the tale was ultimately about Damon and Penny it wasn't just them in the tale I also loved Don and Shelly. I really think Sam did an excellent job of describing the world they live in. So often you get bogged down in to much technology that it spoils the book this was handled well. Our hero Damon was a hard man but with a sensitive soul kept hidden until he met Penny in such awful circumstances, he tries to see the good in life and the hope of a better life, even though he has lost everything himself. He was such gentleman for such a hard and tarnished man. He is a lot older than Penny but that never has bothered me and he does try to fight it as he doesn't feel he is good enough for her. The way the world is at the moment I can actually visualise this happening with wars still raging and the planet becoming more and more populated. I thought I had read everything Sam Crescent had done but I found this nugget on my kindle and have devoured it. Its a brilliant representation of a world gone mad, The survival of the fittest. Where law and order is controlled by 4 areas split between 4 men, food is short, women are used and abused again. This is recognising what you have done and learning from your mistakes coming together as a community to fight the enemy. Sadly lacking in some ares today. I loved the book, 4 stars instead of 5 because of the ending it was rushed, I truly did not like it, I was glued to the final chapter waiting for the bad guy to get his comeuppance and it went to an epilogue, no just no. I loved this style of genre and hoping Sam does some more full length reads as she seems to have a gift were story telling is concerned she hooks me from the first page and doesn't let go till the last.

This author just keeps surprising me with each book that she writes. She writes many different books and just when you get used to one kind another comes out.

Damon is known as Mad Dog just because he had to fight for his life for years and for his protector Don. So he has a reputation around the streets that everyone knows. Out of all four leaders Don is the one that protects his people the most. Damon works at a stripper bar and can get any woman he wants and he just goes through life everyday fighting for his home. All that changes one night when he goes home and hears a woman’s screams in his apartment building. He becomes Penny’s protector and will protect him with his life. In this day and age it is rare to find a virgin and to come and find out she is a run away.

This book is written in the future and it is a future I don’t want to live through. Life as we know it isn’t the same. There is too many people and not enough food. They try to save it with this one little pill that has side effects no one saw coming. Now everyone has gone crazy and the survivors have to fight everyday of their lives for what little clothes and fresh food they can find. Not many know how to read or write and believe it or not pizza is just something of the past.

The author did a great job describing all the destruction and pain that people of the future feel. It is hard to even be in love because they will kill the people you love. This is not a future that I want to live in. I wouldn’t want to fight every day of my life and maybe I get lucky every once in awhile to get fresh food. When you read this book it makes you want to do all you can to make sure there is not a future like this. Almost everyone has given up hope on it ever getting better. There are some that will never give up hope. The book was titled well and it goes along with the book. That is all people of the future has is hope that this will not happen and if it does that it will get better.

The characters in this book are easy to love and understand. I love Penny because she brings hope to Damon and that is what the future needs. They fight for their love and fight for everyone else that they love. There are sometimes they even make me laugh. In this book you will find some of the greatest couples and some that you would never think would be a couple. Without each other and their love there is no future. So if you love futuristic books with love and hope this is the book for you.

Damon is a beautiful soul and Penny is a "Sweet Princess"
This is one of those post-cataclysmic stories, which I generally avoid, just like I avoid the same kind of movies.
I just find them generally a bit dark and depressing.
This story lives up to its title because although it is a bit of a depressing look at a possible future, it is also about hope. Hope for the building of a better life then they are currently living.
There were a few editing issues that would kind of throw me out of the zone for a bit but on the whole this is, in essence, a sweet story.

To say this was a good book wouldn’t be doing it justice. The story blew me out of reality and into the violent world Ms. Crescent created. Everything about this story from characters to pace to romance even action was pure perfection. Click the buy link below because you have to read this book and sink into this
beautifully written world.

Hope by Sam Crescent is a masterpiece.

Loved it was a short read for me. I hope there is more books to the series and seeing if Crescent will write hope for the people who are struggling to find their own hope. It would be really cool of Crescent write a book on each leader of a section I would love to read on Tristan's story that would be awesome.

Was a very easy read and I enjoyed the post apocalyptic feel of it. I loved the main characters and I didn't think of their age difference as a hinderence. I think Penny was very mature for her age and I think Damon was very kind and patient yet hard and edgy. I loved it.

I really loved this book! I enjoyed the futuristic view of the world. I know that this is a new genre for Sam Crescent but she really hit it out of the park! I am looking forward to reading more in this series!
