Rate this book
Mali Ingram's world has entered a downward spiral. Framed for the accidental death of a politician's husband, she finds herself destitute and living on the cold streets of Cardiff. But now isn't a good time to be a rough sleeper in the capital city. Someone wants their type gone. Someone who is willing to commit multiple acts of murder in order to succeed in their goal. DCI Brân Reece must find the killer, and quickly. But top brass don't like where the evidence trail takes him, and ACC Harris can't help but stick his nose in, as usual. As if that isn't enough to contend with, Reece is being investigated over an allegation of corruption. He knows it's someone at the station who wants him gone, but the possibility of it being one of his own team has him suspecting everyone. Follow Reece and his murder squad in another heart-pounding case that will be hard to put down. Set in the backdrop of Cardiff Bay and the spectacular Brecon Beacons National Park, DEVIL'S BREAD is the perfect mix of mystery, murder, and dark humour; appealing to readers of J. D. Kirk, T. G. Reid, Jack Cartwright. Grab your copy now and follow DCI Reece and the team as they hunt some of the country's most devious killers.

ÒI just love this series featuring DCI Reece and the murder team. This is book 5 and can be read as a standalone, although by reading the others, you get to know the characters more and the development of the team.
It's a quick pace thriller that grabs your interest from beginning to the end.
Thus is a very well written storyline and plot with great characters and those twists you don't expect.
I like the way the character of Reece has more and more developed over the series and the way he's fitted in with the team.
It is a most thoroughly enjoyable book from start to finish.
I look forward to more.
My thanks to the author for the advanced copy.
This is my honest and unbiased review.
