I may be too old to be reading these type of books but haha, I don't really care. It's light reading. :)
I've been reading MK&A books since I was young. I didn't read it chronologically so I'm missing a book or two. It's always nice to read a book in a series that does not require you to read it chronologically. You'll get it even if you skip a volume or two.
This one is about doing the right thing and trying out new things. Cliche but haha, still amusing for me. :)
I was a huge fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and was on an endeavour to collect all their movies and books.
The SO LITTLE TIME series is good, but, in my opinion, not as good as the SWEET 16 series. The SO LITTLE TIME series, however, has a TV series loosely based on the books which is just as good as the books.
I have a love/hate relationship with this book series. I like how they add to the story line and focus more on the girls, but they almost completely cut out the adult characters and their subplots. Larry is a character who is a little lacking in the books, mostly because Jesse Head brings so much to the character, that it's hard to capture it on paper.
As good as the series (maybe even a little better) ... Every effort these nurses is good and everything they do is great ... too bad their real life is not so good ... But as far as books, I recommend it to everyone.
This one didn’t give much! But it did give character development which is often hard in books this short.
I will say Sierra (Sarah) didn’t bug me this time, offering to be the band at the girls’ party was pretty sweet of her. Amanda I like, she knows who she is, what she wants and will tell you. That I can vibe with!
Larry was his normal self, but even I found myself getting a little bit annoyed by him 🤏🏼, but all is good, he’s just excitable, as much as I’ve read and remember!
Chloe changing herself to get a guy, nope. Amanda was trying to ask her why she was doing this, and she just can’t get past how hot he is, so she’ll change everything about herself. I hope she stays friends with Amanda and she learns from her 🤞🏼
Riley in this is still my favourite of the sisters, she just seems more grounded, and normal. I mean she has a crush on Alex, but she’s well aware she can hurt the feelings of another (Larry). She’s very aware and I kinda vibe with her and her take on not hurting people.
I don’t know if they’re actually three stars of if they’re giving me so much nostalgia that I’m rating them like that because they’re good for the YAs 👏🏼😬😂
I actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I was instantly taken back to the TV series that I can barely remember watching and I instantly remembered the characters and their personalities, with the author easily capturing them within this book.
The short story felt like I was watching an episode and it just felt like this belonged. It was a nice quick read, but not the total best as there was a lot missing storyline-wise, but the writing style certainly made up for that. I'm certainly interested in reading more books from this series, now.
party time. the things that the girls do to get the guys they like, too find a way to ask them to come to the house party. the things that Larry will do for Riley, so cute but he doesn't have a chance in the world.
Book #6 of the middle grade March challenge! I used to be obsessed with this book & show when I was younger. Used to love Mary-Kate and Ashley!! I’ve got a couple of other books from them that I’ll hopefully get to read again during this challenge.
Instant Boyfriend was a treat! It started out a little slow but it began to pick up. Chloe and Riley really feel like they have a lot more depth written here than they do in the TV series. The ending was perfect, Can't wait to read the next one!!
