hot hot hot, she is being played by her boss and him.
But she likes it a lot in a very hot way.
It was a pity it wasn't a full story, because this was steamy hot already.

Leaves one wanting more.
There are some books teased that I can't find on Amazon... They're 10 years old now, I guess, so maybe they got renamed. I'll definitely have to find more of this author's work.

Be careful to keep your sexual fantasies to yourself; they may come back to haunt you. Becca Preston, daughter of a well known Hollywood actor and a bartender at Scoundrels, a popular Los Angeles night spot. Is talked into replacing an actress (I use this term lightly) after she has fallen down a flight of stairs and broken her ankle. This all proves to be an elaborate ruse, inspired by Parker Banks (an old but not quite forgotten boyfriend) and Emma her employer. Filled with doubts motivated by personal experiences with actors, Becca enters this performance with ever increasing feelings of uncertainty. In the period of their separation, Parker had come to an undeniable conclusion, he loved Becca and he was determined to claim her as his own. Will true love prevail? Like many stories of this ilk, the main (if not only) reason for writing and reading them is to get the grey cells popping and everyone sexually aroused. Literature is a magic field where anyone’s darkest, deepest desires and be put into print and create a world of wonder, inspired by that driving force shared by two people. As a man, I can see a woman’s hand and mind have been at work. Some of the erotic feats described in this book are physically impossible except for in a fantasy. In my opinion, love isn’t particularly synonymous with sex but it is often portrayed as such. The book is entertaining but not unique and is a prequel to the Scoundrels Series by the same author.

Parker Banks has become Hollywood's newest leading man and has women falling at his feet, but it's Becca he has wanted for the last three years.
After working in at Scoundrels bar together three years earlier, Becca and Parker became best friends, even though Parker wanted more. When fame came calling Parker and Becca drifted apart, until the night when Parker walks back into Becca's life to fulfil her deepest fantasy on the stage at Scoundrels.
What happens behind the scenes before they go on stage is hot and steamy and full of alpha male heat. Parker wants to claim Becca and make her his and he wont take no for an answer.
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when these two take to the stage in the next novella.

I picked this book up months and months ago. Finally got around to reading it. I have to say I'm disappointed. I don't feel the cliffhanger was done right. I looked at my book like WTF, instead of OMG I want more. It was an ok romance read, but I just felt that the short story pretty much wraps up, yet their story continues on in another book. So for me, it didn't really strike the chord of ... must read more.

Another serial novel that really took me by surprise. It was good but it ended too soon. Mari Carr is an excellent write so by no means should this reflect my feelings about the author it was just the story ended and I have to pay so much to finish reading it. It would be great written as one novel.

Man Mari Carr sure knows how to write hot, sexy books. This book was free, so I decided to read it. It's very HOT. I haven't read this series yet but I may have to check out the other books in the series.

My rating may not be fair. I enjoyed the story, but it just wasn't enough for me. I had never tried a short before this one. I guess I just need "more" story. I think this is just not the genre for me.

Felt more like a prologue, with that ending as well. Smutty fluff and I´d love to read the continuation, but this one was a bit short for me.

I enjoyed this even though I'm not really a fan of the serials like this. I like Mari Carr though and will definitely continue because this certainly was hot!

This novella(?) I guess is more like Three chapter ones of three different books in a series.
They seem intetesting but it's too short to give more than two stars. nothing is developed much.

This is a fun quick hot read. Becca doesn't trust him. Parker loves her but getting her to accept it is going to be difficult. This is a cliffhanger. Enjoy I did.
