Wonderful tale of katie and her friends on her hen weekend in Dublin . What starts of as an alcohol fuelled weekend of revelry ends in secrets being spilled and for some a new start in life . Each woman has a chapter devoted to their tale and how it affects Katie too . Not just a fluffy read but an emotional powerful read about friendships , family and love .
A chick lit story about a group of women - some friends and some family - and the dramas that happens over the course of a couple of days. A hen party in Dublin acts a catalyst for lots of secrets to come out, followed by life changes. Might have given this 5 stars if it had not been for the twist at the end.
I was really enjoying this book and was on track to give it four stars until the final few chapters. That final twist was just so out of the blue and just didn't sit well with me.
I downloaded this mainly because it was free. It's not normally my kind of thing however it grabbed me from the start and kept me engaged all the way through. I loved the writer's voice, the characters were brilliantly drawn and really likeable and real too.I have already added other works by this author to my wish list. Definitely worth a read.
This book started off really well. And it kept going until the end. A lot of was going on in this book and I was blown away by most, if not all the revelations that came out blew my sicks off. This book is not as predictable as you'd think. There is a lot of drama, but the bonds between family and friends are also stressed just as much, making this an interesting read.
When is a hen weekend not a hen weekend? When you read this book. All weekend various revelations come to light which shock everyone. Fun light hearted book in which it's all a shock.
