I particularly liked the colourful illustrations of chickens, and the passage reassuring readers that we were unlikely to see another flu pandemic, as the world had not seen once since 1918-19

It's a concise, helpful, witty little book. Very entry level for hen keeping but I still discovered a few little titbits of information in there that I hadn't seen before. Perhaps too much information about breeds but still, a pleasure to look at the hand drawn illustrations.
