In 2019 a vaccination for the HIV virus was successfully engineered and administered to all people over the age of 5. Just three years later, the vaccination mutated at the genetic level, giving birth to the TCC virus. It lays dormant in the blood stream and activates upon touch, killing the victims instantly.

A family living in an isolated village comes to grips with how to be close to each other and stay safe.

I found this read to be enjoyable and yet it was simply too short ending in mid-scene.
I am not even sure if there will be a sequel or not.
However in its brevity it still managed to cover the concept of a life without physical touch.
In as much as a short story can, the characters were developed and I felt the plight of Ada.
I am left to wonder about her world and her fate.
I recommend this book to readers of the Apocalyptic and short story genres.
