“ If you’re ever feeling scared, I’ll be right beside you. If you’re ever feeling lost, know that I will find you.”
A polar bear cub discovers that, through life’s ups and downs, a parent’s love lasts forever. Featuring rhyming text and delightful artwork, this much-loved title is now available as a padded board book.
Emma was brought up in Guildford, Surrey, in a family of artists and from as far back as she can remember she has wanted to be an illustrator. Emma studied Graphic Design and Illustration at Central Saint Martin's School of Art and has worked extensively in advertising, editorial and book illustration. She was nominated for the Booktrust Early Years Award in 2006 for her book "What Pet to Get" and in 2009 for "Miaow said the Cow" Emma lives in Surrey with her husband and two children, who provide inspiration for her work, and their Jack Russel Terrier, Bart, who keeps her fit. She likes to spend any spare time in North Cornwall, surfing and walking in all weathers.
Sweet, nigh insipid, little book about parental love and protection.
My niece (two and half) likes the pictures but doesn't have much interest in the poem; she substitutes her own narration: "Now the little bear is scared," "They go on a walk and look at the stars," "They're cuddling," etc.

Entrancing winter illustrations! The silver shine on certain ice and snow had me tilting under the lights to watch pages twinkle. Lovely sentiments expressed.
A mother polar bear expresses her love for her cub.
"And no matter what may come as we journey on together ... know that deep within my heart, I will love you ... forever."
This picture book conveys parental love and devotion, using short simple text. It provides reassurance to children that they are deeply loved by their primary caregivers who strive to protect and support them.
While the sentiment well voiced, it is the artwork that makes book standout. They evoke a dramatic sense of place for this tender story. The digitally created illustrations are amazing. Each two page spread depicts a different arctic scene, and the background for every picture is both uncluttered and visually interesting. Silver foil is used to great effect, managing to be striking as well as subdued.
This is a sweet story about the love that a mama polar bear has for her cub. Each page has a little bit of text that rhymes with the page after (or before) about how this mama bear loves her cub…forever. The illustrations are cute with the little one looking like a sweet cub ready for a cuddle. And a few pages have shiny foil-like bits that enhance the illustrations. Little ones will be please to see the shiny bits show up on the pages (as either the moon, water, snow drifts or the like). Basically, this is one of those calming stories that would be perfect to read to kids before they sleep and dream of the “forever” love of polar bears.
I LOVED this book!!! What beautiful peaceful book about a parent and loving and caring for their child.
** Talking Points - Tell me about your mom. What is she like? How does she show her love for you? What do you love about her? And what would you like to do more of with her? Tell me about your dad. What is he like? How does he show his love for you? What do you love about him? And what would you like to do more of with him?
** Essential Oil Pairing Tip - I'd diffuse 3 drops of doTERRA's Serenity essential oil blend, 1 drop Frankincense and 1 drop Myrrh. It's a perfect blend to help facilitate better connection and bonding with your little one.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) Mama polar bear and her cub explore the arctic together. She's there to make him smile when he's down, comfort him when he's scared, and promises to help make his dreams come true.
Highlights: Pictures are simple which will not overstimulate younger readers during bedtime. Explains the ways a mother loves her child.
Lowlights: There is no dialogue between the polar bears. The story is read as a narration of mama polar bear's feelings.
Favorite Quote: If you're ever feeling lost, know that I will find you.
This is a heartwarming board book which shows the love between mamma polar bear and her cub. Subtle colors of white, light blue, and gray evoke a polar winter. Illustrations show the mamma and cub sharing various emotions: happy times, sad times, and scary times. Wonderful gift book for newborns to age three.
Forever was a super cute book with really sweet illustrations. I loved the rhythm to the words and I really liked the authors use of rhyming words. There is not much of a plot or anything but it is a nice book about the love between a mother and her baby and would probably be a good book to read to younger children.
I love the illustrations and the foil special effects they add to the pictures in each book. The colors are soft and subdued and sparkle with this added picture.
As always the message is positive and always pushes unconditional love from parent figure to child.
L'ho "letta" tramite uno di quei video su youtube per allietare la quarantena ai bambini (non chiedetemi perché l'abbia fatto). Libro per bambini davvero carino e dolcioso
