AT THE MASQUERADE
In part three of this series of five. Candace is at Mr. Stevens mansion preparing to go to a party. Candace overhears a heated conversation Mr. Stevens has on the phone. She can't help thinking it was about her.
Boarding the helicopter with him, Candace can't help feeling nervous about the coming evening. When they arrive Mr. Stevens leaves Candace in Katerina's care. Considering her attitude to Candace the day before, she's wary and keeps herself alert.
Katerina's takes her to the fourth floor, where the masquerade is being held.
When the author asked me to review this series I was very intrigued with the premise of the story. It certainly doesn't disappoint. It's full of tension, sexy and mysterious. I can't wait to read the rest.
