Out of the entire series I have to say this was by for the weakest book. The plot was weak and the protagonist was unlikable and showed absolutely no evidence of why he should be trusted. His rationale and contrived way of putting the blame of the current Star Realms problems at the feet of the Gardners was absolutely ridiculous. I felt like the author felt like they owed us a book but didn't really have a real plan in mind. He should have stopped with the previous book. SPOILER AHEAD!!!! -- a lot of the book was about finding the Gardners. The Gardners were found and ended up doing exactly nothing. Such a build up and no payoff.

Except for having strong psychic powers ( which based on this story I still don't believe were stronger than any of the Gardners), he showed none of the characteristics that made us like the Gardner family. If he had died I wouldn't have cared.

I think this book was better than the previous one. The previous one is the only one that didn't get a five star rating from me.

Also, as much as I liked this book series, I think it was a good thing that it was brought to a conclusion. I think there was little room for going further and that it would have gone downhill if the author would have tried to keep it going.

Good series

The story was great for me, I am sure that not everyone will love it. But it's good we are all different.
