Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Each lesson contains practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Swedish. Reading Lessons begin in Unit 2 and provide you with an introduction to reading Swedish. These lessons are designed to teach you to sound out words with correct pronunciation and accent. In addition, combined Reading Lessons from all the units are included at the end. A Reading Booklet to be used with the audio lessons is also included in PDF format.

This was my first time using a Pimsleur course.
The approach is quite unique as it focuses on listening and repeating only, with no text input nor theoretical grammar explanation. The idea is to learn words in context within conversations and try to imitate as closely as possible the pronunciation of native speakers. Lessons are 30 mins long and are to be followed on a daily basis. I found the balance between review of previously acquired vocabulary and acquisition of new vocabulary perfect. Repeating again and again does improve the feeling for the language. I'll continue with the next units to see how far I can go with this method.
