Sebastian has never in his thirty-four years had such a strong attraction to a woman. Oh, he’s felt instant lust before, more times that he cares to remember. However there’s something about Carla that’s different and he finds it difficult to get her out of his head, which is where she needs to be considering she’s dating his brother.Carla has been pretending to date Ramon for a while now to keep a violent ex of hers away and to keep Ramon’s family off his back. They’ve been friends for a couple of years, so it was only natural that they’d help each other out, except she hadn’t bargained on falling for Ramon’s brother, Sebastian. Also catch up with the McKenzie family as they welcome the twins to the family.

I'm so in love with the family. Hot brother all the way around.(gotta love eye or mind candy). I personally thing the author did a great job of keeping me interested without being overly descriptive or repetitive. Keep them coming!!

This is book 2 in the McKenzie Brothers series it continues on from The Wedding (book 1.2) it is also Sebastian's story. Sebastian McKenzie flits from woman to woman and has the reputation of never settling down until he meets Carla but she is dating his brother Ramon. Carla and Sebastian have a mutual attraction and try very hard to stay away from each other but unknown to Sebastian, Carla and Ramon are just friends and she is pretending to be his girlfriend to keep his mother off his back. Its not long until Carla's past comes back to haunt her...
I really enjoyed this book I sank into it really easily and had finished it before I knew it. I can't possibly pick my favourite brother but Sebastion is really hot in this one and is certainly one of the front runners. In this one I felt that I am getting to know this family pretty well and also loving the new additions. The chemistry between the whole family is awesome and makes me want to be a part of it. There is plenty of hot sex that got me all hot and bothered especially one scene in particular near the end. This is a HEA so no cliffhangers here but there are plenty of questions to be answered in future books. I also loved the fact that Michael and Lily are still strong characters in this book and getting to read about how there lives are going.
Fantastic hot and sexy read and I will be reading all the books that will continue this series of my favourite brothers.
I received an ARC copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Skipped off the sex parts, I think I only stayed on one and I barely remember it. I am getting tired up sex scenes, I need more substance. So this is about Carla and Sebastian. I actually knew they'd end up together because of the last scene on the first book. But the thing that I figured out here is, their love thingy is just too unrealistic. They will see each other and then wham-bam love at first sight. Instant connection, it ain't true love yet, more like soulmate then it turn to true love. Which is hard to come by. Those things aren't easily seen or got. Now I wanna read about Lucien and Sabrina, I get sad for Sabrina with Lucien's closeness with Lily, it is kinda weird. I just hope I get to deal with it. Everybody seems like damsel in distress material, I haven't found the girl with an attitude and will kick a Mckenzie off his feet.

Gifted a copy for an honest review! The brothers just keep coming and are all swoon worthy. You have Sebastian a playboy that doesn't want to settle. Carla the girlfriend of Ramon. There are pacts made and secrets kept. When all is said and done will things be broken and revealed? Sebastian and Carla are hot, steamy and fantastic characters. This series just keeps getting better. This read has a little more mystery to it and I love a few twist and turns. Lexi Buchanan is a one click author for me.
Most of the family feels that Carla and Ramons whole story isnt being told. They are right Ramon and Carla are keeping something to themselves. How will Sebastian keep his hands off of his brother's girlfriend? Sly looks little touches here and there.
the full review is ready please go check it out .. awesome page!!
better then the first but i liked them both, i loved the baby cradles with the little poems on them from all the brothers and grandparents and the twins are so cute!
Sebastian is a player. He does not do commitments. One night stands are more his speed. All this changes, however, when he meets Carla. Carla captures his attention from the beginning. He immediately feels a strong physical attraction to her. This feeling runs both ways. Carla can’t control the pull she feels towards Sebastian. Problem is she’s dating Sebastian’s brother. As time passes by, their feelings only intensify. It’s getting harder and harder to resist each other. But, Sebastian can’t steal his brother’s girl and Carla can’t keep up the charade. Something’s gotta give.
Lexi Buchanan brought out the angst and anticipation in this one. The chemistry and longing between Sebastian and Carla made the pages sizzle. There were moments when the characters were within inches of one another that I could feel the heat coming off of them. Sebastian is battling his growing feelings for Carla and the guilt of having those feelings for his brother’s girlfriend. He can’t violate the “bro code”. But he’s tired of staying away from her. At the same time, he notices there’s something odd about the relationship Carla has with his brother. They don’t act like two people in love should act.
Carla made a promise to Sebastian’s brother, Ramon. One she plans on keeping no matter how strongly she feels towards Sebastian. While Sebastian’s feelings may not have been as hidden around the family as he may have thought, Ramon had no clue Carla felt the same way. Had he known he would have released her of their arrangement. However, I think Carla uses that deal they made as an excuse to hide. She’s never felt this strong of an attraction to any man before. Her feelings coupled with Sebastian’s playboy past scare her.
While Sebastian could have saved himself some guilt and anxiety had he known the truth of Carla’s and Ramon’s relationship, I think her being just out of his reach was good for him. For once he couldn’t just have what he wanted. Plus it allowed the attraction to build up to the point where when they finally came together it was positively explosive.
But, can these two remain together? Carla has a violent ex out for blood and Sebastian has an aggressive office assistant on the hunt for a McKenzie of her own. With hearts and literally lives on the line, who will prevail?
If you have not read the McKenzie Brothers series from the beginning, you are missing out. Rapture is book 2 and collides with parts of book 1.5. Lexi Buchanan has not just created a series, but a whole family for us, the readers, to get to know, swoon for and bond with. This is Sebastian and Carla’s story, but life continues in the McKenzie family and we get a glimpse of characters past and things to come.
RAPTURE is the second full length novel (and 3rd storyline) in Lexi Buchanan’s McKenzie Brothers series focusing on the five McKenzie Brothers (Michael, Sebastian, Ramon, Ruben and Lucien) and the women (or men) that they love. This is Sebastian and Carla’s story-one of forbidden love and secret pasts.
Sebastian wants Carla but there is a problem-Carla lives with Sebastian’s brother Ramon and the brothers all made a promise to each other that they would never date a brother’s ex. So for five months, Sebastian watches Carla at family dinners hoping that his brother will tire of his new love. But something about Carla and Ramon’s relationship doesn’t sit well with Sebastian and it isn’t only Seb that notices.
As the storyline develops, we watch as the sexual tension between Carla and Sebastian heightens with every encounter and get together. The couple met at Michael and Lily’s wedding and there was an instant attraction and connection. When the truth about Ramon and Carla’s relationship is revealed, Sebastian is quick to profess his love and his need for the woman who has occupied his every thought for months.
A good portion of the story revolves around the anxiety and angst of forbidden love as Sebastian tries to keep his distance from what he believes is his brother’s lover. When Sebastian and Carla are finally able to connect, there is someone else waiting to take the couple down.
RAPTURE is a fast paced and interesting look at sibling rivalry, family dynamics and falling in love. There is plenty of sinful sex once Sebastian and Carla become a couple and the insta-love is professed in a heart beat. The storyline has many humorous moments as the family gathers for the birth of Michael and Lily’s twins and there is something about Lucien’s relationship with Lily that has everyone questioning the same.
Lexi Buchanan combines humor, heartbreak and the love of a family to pull the reader into a storyline about one man’s forbidden desire and his need for the woman who has consumed his soul.
Reading Order 1. Seduce 1.5 The Wedding 2. Rapture
This review is being done as a reviewer for Sugar and Spice Book Reviews and this review will also be listed under their GoodReads account.
After getting a glimpse of Sebastian in Seduce, I was more than excited to read his story. Sebastian is the typical playboy of the McKenzie brothers. He's never been in love, sleeps with lots of women, and never plans on settling down. At least that's what he thought. The moment he sets eyes on Carla he's captivated and can't get her off his mind. Too bad she's his brother's girlfriend.
Carla's hiding from an abusive ex-boyfriend. Luckily she is able to stay with her friend, Ramon, until she the ex is caught. Only catch is she has to pretend to be his girlfriend while she's living with him. The plan is working perfectly until she meets Sebastian. She can't help the way her body and mind react to him whenever he's near but she's scared of betraying the only friend she has.
I love the McKenzie family!! Reading these books always makes me smile at the funny banter, quick wit, and sexual innuendos. Rapture was no different than Seduce for me-I loved it! The story itself was a bit predictable, but overall it kept me super interested and I read it all in one sitting. It was sexy, fun, and hot hot hot! I love that while each story focuses on the two main characters you learn so much about each of the other family members as well. They each have their own quirks, kinks, and history that keeps coming out little by little keeping me wanting more. Definitely make sure you read this series as it continues to come out-you won't be disappointed!
Wow.. mhhhmm Sebastian is my new baby daddy :) I just loved it! I soo cant wait for the next one!! Sebastian as his mom mentioned in a man whore. Can he be reformed? Not if he has any say in it, until he meets Carla his brothers girl. Carla .. not only is she on the arm of Ramon, but she lives with him which automactically makers her off limits. So someone needs to tell Carla and Sebastian that, because anytime they are in the same room sparks fly.
Most of the family feels that Carla and Ramons whole story isnt being told. They are right Ramon and Carla are keeping something to themselves. How will Sebastian keep his hands off of his brother's girlfriend? Sly looks little touches here and there.
Instead of dust clearing it only gets worse, Sebastian has a man-eater after him and will stop at nothing to obtain her goal. Carla has her own skeltons to fight on top of worrying about her missing brother. Ramon just adds to the muddied waters with his own issues that, he will have to sort out sooner or later.
You cant help but love the McKenzie family, each and everyone of them. Even the non-family members are family. I loved how the characters come to life, how the writer brings each back from the previous story. There are some squirm worthy sex scenes, a bit of mystery and danger. Even jealousy rears its ugly head in the form of Jackey. The writer weaved a story the kept me reading until the story was done, and anxiously looking for the next one. Enjoy!

Rapture is the second book in the McKenzie Brothers Series.
Sebastian is known as the playboy in the family. A thirty four he has never had a serious relationship or strong feelings towards one women. That is until he meets his brothers, Roman, girlfriend Carla at Michael and Lily's wedding. There is something different about Carla, he can't seem to shake her for his head. He can't go there its his brothers girlfriend but he can't help his feelings and attraction towards her.
Carla has been pretending to be Roman's girlfriend for awhile, it helps both their situations. It helps keeps Roman's family off his back and to keep Carla's violent ex away, the one thing Carla and Roman didn't count on was Carla falling in love with Sebastian. The sexual tension between the two heightens with every get together with his family. How long can Carla keep living a lie.
When Sebastian learns the truth they are able to finally give into the sexual chemistry, get ready for fireworks! All it took was one women to capture Sebastian's heart.
I am loving the McKenzie brothers so far, i love the tight bond and close relationships with one another. The sibling rivalry and banter make you fall in love with each brother. Looking forward to reading Delight
WOW the McKenzie Brothers are back! This is Sebastian and Carla's book. I was happy to read this book because the author brought more then the first book. There was more suspense and drams in this book and I enjoyed it soooo much!! And the author brought the SEX back again! These brothers are all so swoon worthy!! Sebastian is a man who has been around and never wanted to settle down until he meets Carla. The only problem is that she is with his brother Ramon. And all the brothers made a pack years ago that. None of them would make a play for each other's girlfriend or even ex girlfriends. There is a secret the Carla and Ramon are keeping from his family and when Sebastian finds out can he finally have everything that he wants or will it be taken from him before he gets the chance. Like I said I was so happy while reading this book because the author gave me what I felt was missing from the first book. I would recommend this book to anyone. Just get ready ladies because your panties might just fall off while reading this one!! And I can't wait to read more about the brothers!!! Love this family!!!
I loved how the book had romance and a little bit of suspense. The sexual tension between Carla and Sebastian was off the charts. Sebastian however, could never tell Carla how he felt since #1 – Carla was living with his brother and supposedly dating and #2 – They said they would never date eachother’s exes. However, it was all a lie since Carla was not dating Ramon, Sebastian’s brother, she needed a place to stay and Ramon needed a “pretend” girlfriend.
Some of the verbiage felt awkward at times. I liked the writing style in certain parts and disliked it in others.
What kept my interest throughout the book was trying to find out what happened to Carla’s brother. He went missing without a word. The other thing I wanted to know was why Ramon asked Carla to pretend to be his girlfriend and live with him for 12 months, and then there was the issue of
Carla’s abusive ex-boyfriend. I could not put the book down, but I wish the characters would stop questioning themselves.

Holy hell what a sexy story, all the McKenzie brothers make a appearance but this one is all about sexy as hell Sebastian. He is the epitome of sexy bad boy...Sebastian loves women and loves the hook up but once he sets his eyes and eventual heart on Carla nobody else will do. Carla is on the run from a ex and trying to find her brother and afraid so she's moved in with Ramon and Ramon's has secret he's hiding from his family so he pretends he's "with" Carla but once they both realize she has eyes for Sebastian and Sebastian only its time to let the cat out of the bag or atleast a little bit. A lot going on with Carla's ex trying to kill her, her and Sebastian hitting it and Michael and Lilly's twins making a appearance oh and the whole family seeing Carla with Sebastian together now ...and secrets revealed by Ramon. Very sexy sex scenes and I love you's ....5 stars ...hot as hell story can't wait to read the next one.
OMG! This book is so HOT! Sebastian and Carla are great together ! This book starts at Michael and Lily's wedding, when Sebastian meets Carla. Their attraction is immediate, but they have to refrain it, because of Ramon, Seb's brother, the man who Carla is compromised. After many family's encounters, is becoming too difficult to hide theirs feelings for each other and some people start to question whats going on. Carla has a troubled past and only Ramon knows and helped her when the situation went bad. But Ramon sees both Seb and Carla suffering by being away from each other, and decides to finish with their agony. Will they stay together? With the Mckenzie family ,this book is certainly fun all the way!
I am so loving the McKenzie brothers. This story is about Sebastian and Carla. Sebastian wants Carla, but think she's with his brother Ramon. But she's not, they are pretending to protect Carla from her abusive ex boyfriend, Gary.
Finally, Carla can't take it anymore and Ramon sees the pain he is putting his brother through. So, they tell Sebastian about pretending.
Finally, Sebastian gets the love of his life, but now he's having trouble with Jacky. I didn't like Jacky in Michael and Lily's story (seduce). I definitely didn't like her in this story. She needs to leave the McKenzie brothers alone.
I can't wait to read about Lucien and Sabrina, but it will have to wait. Next time to read about Ruben and Rosie (delight).
Another good installment of the McKenzie Brothers...once again "Love at first sight" but I really liked the build up to this love story. She was living with brother Ramon, but things did not look as they seem. Both Carla and Sebastian met at Lilly's and Michael's wedding and spent 5 months fighting of the attraction they had for each other. The reason she is living with Ramon has come to haunt her and is forced to reveal it when she finds her self in danger. Oh boy, what a coming together of these two lovers!!! Sebastian will do anything to keep her safe.
A good read all and all. Looking forward to Rubin's story next.

This book starts off where the last one ended. Sebastian and Carla meet at the wedding and there is an instant attraction. there is a problem Carla is dating Sebastian brother (or is she). this book is filled with very hot scenes that will leave you needing a very cold shower. There were times when i wanting to scream at them to just get it together but i love that lexi doesn't make you wait till the very end which is normally the case in these will they won't they books. I love Lexi style of writing and i can't wait for the next brothers story although i am disappointed is not Lucien :-(.
I absolutely love this series and I have re-read so many times but I had forgotten how hot the flame burns with Sebastian and Carla! My heart!! Sebastian is knocked for six when he first lays eyes on Carla at Michael and Li!y's wedding. A woman has finally stopped him in his tracks but then he discovers she is with Ramon, his brother! God love him! He tries his best to stay away from her but not all is as it appears. Will he get his HEA? Every time I dive into this series, it's like going home!
Rapture by Lexi Buchanan is perfectly written and extremely Hott, as are all of the McKenzie Brothers. The characters are solid and compelling. The story line is believable, leaving just enough mystery to compel an intense interest in the remaining brothers. I love revisiting the characters from book 1 and filling in the blanks for the future. This book can be read as an emotional stand alone or together within the series. I just wish I had more stars to give!
Sebastian and Carla's story was fast paced and hot and I was completely engaged throughout. Not to mention I really enjoyed the sibling rivalry and family dynamics that occur as Sebastian spends months lusting and loving Carla from afar, believing she is in a relationship with his younger brother Ramon. And it was entertaining and fun to read. Furthermore, as someone who has now read this story a few times I can honestly say it never gets old and I would happily recommend it to others.
I could not wait for this one to be released as I thoroughly enjoyed previous book in series. I was really disappointed with this story. I thought is was cheesy and not up to standard as previous book. The references of 'my woman' and 'mine' as so played out. He even claimed her before they were even together! I just couldn't believe what I was reading. I will keep reading the series because I love the McKenzies. It was great to catch up the Lily and Michael.
OK, I tried, I really did. The first book and the first novella sucked, but I always try to give a series at least two full books before throwing in the towel. But after reading this, stick a fork in me, I am done!
There was so much dialogue and materiel that was regurgitated for the third time in this book. The same exact stuff used in the first book as well as the novella.
It's getting harder and harder trying to come up with reviews that don't have tons on spoilers. For this book, Rapture book 2, the 'manwhore', as mama Pippa says, gets the girl. Sometimes chemistry between two individuals is so strong that nothing can break it even loyalty to a brother/BFF, which is in the case of the McKenzie brothers. Also I'm always laughing my ass off reading the interactions between these wonderful men/brothers!
Sebastian McKenzie has fallen for his brother Ramon's girlfriend, or at least he thinks he has. Carla has become Sebastians's exception to his rule, he is no longer seeing other women - he's fallen hard. But are things really as they seem? What is the secret Ramon and Clara share?? Once again Lexi Buchanan has given the reader a hot and steamy McKenzie man to drool over. 5 stars for me.
This is the 2nd book in the McKenzie Brother Series - Sebastian & Carla Sebastian has always been a total playbook looking to have fun but not one of these ladies has ever made him want to settle down. Until he meets Carla. This is a forbidden love story with a twist. Carla is his youngest brother's "girlfriend" and Sebastian is totally hot for her. You get to see how this romance plays out & find out secrets about his brother, Ramon.
