Definitely not a bad read, but not anything that blew my socks off either. They had a lot of sexual chemistry and they have the love of "living a healthy lifestyle" in common (i.e., they eat healthy and like to exercise and stay active) but it didn't really seem like there was that much else there that would commit them to forever after eight days, and certainly not enough to have them inviting the other to meet the fams after like three days or talking about children or marriage and the whole meal deal. Jake and his whole "I can't lose control with you" and "men should never unleash their full passion" was rather boring. Ivy was pretty adventurous being that she wanted to do all kinds of naughty things that Jake wouldn't let her do but it just seemed like they were a little incompatible in the boudoir even though when they were there it was rather hot. Pretty vanilla romance. If you like stories about ultra-disciplined Marines who fall hard, this book is for you, but don't expect a whole lot of erotica. The writing was clean despite a few grammatical errors and although I would have liked to have seen the characters get to know each other better, at least the reader got to know their history as individuals. I think a sequel to this would be interesting to read. And I sure would like to see some conflict...an ex showing up or something. I don't know...I guess I like dram-ah!
