raw and sharp and so, so lovely in places. incredible work. and i cried over it last night, because of these lines:

"whether it's the day you burn
more brightly than the sun
or the nights you collapse into my lap
your body broken into a thousand questions,
you are the most beautiful thing i've ever seen.
I will love you when you are a still day.
I will love you when you are a hurricane."

Dear Hannah,
Stop reading poetry in public. Beautiful words make you cry.

This collection of poems are by far the most raw, and honest I've ever read. I can't get enough--I don't think I will ever get enough.

Clementine von Radics is now officially one of my favorite poets. Her poetry is very evocative and raw and just so beautiful.
Even with mundane and commonplace subjects, she knows to manipulate words into feelings, putting so much animation into her poetry.

The best part is hearing them read aloud. *Sigh*

Punched me in the gut and kissed me on the lips. Folded the words I didn't know I needed to hear as neatly as freshly dried laundry.

Algunas partes preciosas, otras demasiado codificadas y el resto un poco meh.

A book of poetry that is essentially the epitome of teen angst, albeit with very well-written, over-dramatic metaphors a la TFIOS.

Then I again, I am made up of 90% teen angst anyway so yes, I love this book. It is a step up from all of my own pseudo poetry that sound like lyrics out of a Good Charlotte song. I guess this book is like the ghost of future-present for me. I still love it even though eh, probably shouldn't.

YAY TEEN ANGST.

"I know sometimes
it’s still hard to let me see you
in all your cracked perfection,
but please know:
whether it’s the days you burn
more brilliant than the sun
or the nights you collapse into my lap
your body broken into a thousand questions,
you are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
I will love you when you are a still day.
I will love you when you are a hurricane."

I highly recommend von Radics's poetry.

She's really raw and blunt, and her stuff is take or leave it for your own good. By that I mean you can read them and some of them will be nice and you'll see what she's saying, but then other pieces will stay with you for days after.

Her bound copy is only 13 dollars on Etsy, so I really recommend it to help her out!

This collection is incredible. Von Radics is so relatable yet so personal, so beautiful yet so dark and at times blunt. She projects her pain and joy outward to a universal level, comforting those readers who feel and experience the way she does.

There's no denying that Clementine von Radics' poems are as raw and emotional as you can get. Love her choices and arrangement of words. For me, however, this is a hit & miss book. I like the poems in it but not all resonates with me. There are a few that I walk through without knowing what exactly it was that I just read, and even after several rereads it didn't grapple me - this however is no fault of the author. Then there are also some that just came right out of the book and was so engaging that I reread it many many times just to satiate my hunger - monster/crime scene being a good example of this. Therefore, I still have to rate this book as signaturely hers.

One of my favorite poets of all time. I'm so glad I ordered this book!

It's from an independent publisher and you can only order it on Etsy, but it's really cheap and so so so worth it. Clementine von Radics is an incredible author and writer, with the rawest soul I've ever read. She resembles Mary Lambert's poetry, and is just as quality as Andrea Gibson. Her poem about her sexual assault hit me hard. I bought this after a breakup, and it was surprisingly really cleansing.

But that's why I invented time. It's a slow,
steady promise. If you just hold on,
white knuckle grip keep breathing
time will take you far enough away
from anything. It's a blessing.
It will heal you if you let it.

Quite possible my favorite lines from this book. One of many, so many that I don't have the patience to write them in this review.
I love the way Clementine von Radics work with words, and I can't recommend her writing enough. It's amazing.

Clementine von Radics' poetry touches parts of my (nonexistant) soul in ways the only contemporary poetry by a young woman can do. My favorite piece is "Mouthful of Forevers" and I highly recommend this beautiful little book of poetry.

This is the first poetry book I've finished reading. I like the first half a lot. I found bits and pieces in the 2nd half a bit too cliche (and even narcissistic). But in general it is amazing. I've already ordered another book by Clementine von Radics and I can't wait to read it.

Clementine's words have a way of embodying feelings you didn't realize you possessed until you see them on paper. This collection of poems is haunting and lovely.

Incredible book of poems. Gut wrenching and tear jerking in places. Hauntingly real. Writes poetry in the exact manner that I enjoy!

I didn't expect this one to resonate with me as deeply as it did, but it happened anyway. I think the only thing I have to say about this collection is this: read it.
