Dialysis: Peritoneal Dialysis

This type of dialysis uses the body's own peritoneal membrane as an osmotic filter as dialysis fluid is infused directly into the abdominal cavity, and after a prescribed dwell time is drained, pulling with it excess fluid and metabolic waste.
