Colorado Double Cross is an awesome suspense read. DEA Agent Nick Anderson and his late partner's wife Alexis White are on the run. They have to bring down a cartel and investigate to see if Alexis' husband Tony's death was accidental or intentional. This story was a page turner and kept me reading until the very end. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I'm a huge Jennifer Pierce fan and I'm excited this story doesn't disappoint. It's intense non stop action with hints of romance and faith that tied together well. I really enjoyed it.
I appreciated how Alexis was both physically disabled but super determined and strong. The reality of her physical injuries wasn't brushed aside but she was able to hold her own nearly the entire story. Man they endured a lot and yes sometimes you have to suspend belief but most times their actions and reactions were quite believable.
Good twists and turns and good foreshadowing that kept me guessing and waiting, did I get it right ? Ack. Such a fun read. If you enjoy romantic suspense you'll enjoy this one.
This book gripped me from the very first page. It was so suspenseful and I couldn't guess what was coming from one page to the next. A few times I even wondered how the characters were going to get out of the predicament they found themselves in. I couldn't put the book down and ended up finishing it in a few hours. Love Inspired Suspense books are some of my absolute favorites and Jennifer's debut with this line is a wonderful addition. I highly recommend it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Undercover, Investigations, a mole in law enforcement.. the cartel after them, who can they trust? They have each other.. right? Will they recover what they need before it's too late? Will they make it out alive?
Mystery, intrigue, suspense and of course some romance, Jennifer Pierces LIS: Colorado Double Cross is a good read! It keeps you guessing with lots of twists and turns, You should definitely add it to your tbr pile!
This was ok. I debated giving 3 stars. Way too much running around and not enough relationship building. A lot of action which after a while I find it exhausting. 3-1/2 for me.

Colorado Double Cross by Jennifer Pierce keeps readers dangling on the edge of suspense for the entire novel. DEA Agent Nick Anderson is undercover in a drug cartel. Much to his surprise, he runs into Alexis White, his deceased partner’s wife, as she snoops around the drug compound. He rescues her, and the pair run for their lives. Somehow the drug dealers are one step ahead of the DEA, and Nick and Alexis suspect a mole in the agency.
I love the non-stop action and suspense in this story. I’ve always been a fan of the run-for-your-life trope, but Pierce brings a depth to the characters while readers get to race along side the pair to solve a mystery. If you love romantic suspense, heart-racing action, and great Colorado scenery, look no further than Colorado Double Cross.
I received an ebook review copy of this book. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
A new-to-me author, Jennifer Pierce has grabbed my attention with her tale of suspense packed with intrigue. The continual twists and turns, betrayals, and danger keep you on the edge of your seat. It was interesting to see how the hero and heroine learn to see God's presence in their lives. I look forward to reading more by this author.
More suspense than romance, just the way I like it! But the romance doesn’t feel too instalove because they have history; Alexis is his late partner’s widow. Together they have to bring down a cartel that’s targeting quiet mountain communities, and the cartel of course has no wish to be brought down. High-action drama.
Though the action was good, the leads had no chemistry.I dont know how and why they fell in love. I would have been totally fine if they ended up as friends or maybe the book ended with them starting to like each other.
