It’s difficult for me to declare a single favourite composer of mine, but both Iancu Dumitrescu and the late Ana Maria Avram, RIP, are quite up there for me. This book features many insightful details into both of the composers, the ways they conceive their sonorous explorations, interviews with them, and more. I was already very into their music before reading this and reading this still increased my fondness for them. I’m not sure how a fan of their music wouldn’t appreciate this book. Here’s to hoping i’ll see Dumitrescu perform one day.
