A fascinating collection of early papers on the ancient copper mines of Michigan, most, if not all, of them having been written by educated men who personally observed and/or excavated ancient mines when they were relatively pristine. A must-read for anyone with a special interest in the ancient mines of Isle Royale and the UP, and of interest to any diffusionist.
