Heading to a teachers’ conference hundreds of miles away from my small town should have been a nice break. Until I was propositioned by a stranger to be his wife for the next six months. And for whatever reason, I said yes.
Talon Beckett was a domineering billionaire with a steely-blue gaze that made me forget my own name. It was my excuse for agreeing to his terms…that and he agreed to play up our recent vows when we attended my ex’s wedding.
We both decided that we’d go our separate ways when our six months were up. He’d get full control of his bank account and the hotel chain that bore his mother’s maiden name, and I’d get whatever I needed in return.
When our time was coming to an end, I realized the one thing I wanted was something he had no desire to give. It was the affectionate side he’d kept hidden from everyone despite his need to say, “My Wife” when we were out in public. And as I crossed the days off the calendar, it was harder to remember that our marriage wasn’t real. Especially when we needed to sign those termination papers.
I feared I’d lose not only my new last name and job, but my heart along the way.

this was a cute, spicy, and wholesome romance that gave me all of the feels!
tropes: marriage of convenience, small town, opposites attract
talon is supposed to be the next CEO of his family’s hotel chain, but he can’t step into that role without being married. he devises a plan to find a fake wife that way he can take over what is rightfully his before any of his competitors get the job before him. falling for aurora, a literal ray of sunshine from a small town, was never part of his plan, but things never go as planned.
talon and aurora are so cute together and make the perfect couple. i enjoyed reading about them and learning more about their pasts. they both have more to them than meets the eye.
Made For You is a heartfelt romance about finding your inner voice and allowing love in!
Aurora and Talon have the worst not so meet cute in the history of EVER! Yet that day set into motions events that created the perfect storm for them! A year after their fatefaul meeting and Talon finds he needs Aurora and so he sets up another meeting that will change both of their lives!
There’s nothing I love more than a meddling grandma and Talon’s is the best! She made sure Talon found his forever it’s just up to him to seize the opportunity. Talon and Aurora have so much chemistry and I couldn’t get enough of these two! When they finally give into their feelings fireworks are instant! They just need to reveal the truth before it shatters everything!
I have to say I love this series so much but this couple is my absolute fave! From Talons jealousy to Auroras kind heart I loved it all.
This book was so sweet and I couldn’t put it down! This is the 3rd book in this series and didn’t disappoint! Rory is one of my favorite characters and I love that she takes a risk on Talon! Their relationship starts as faking dating/marriage of convenience and grows into something more deep with so much love and passion. I highly recommend!
“Mrs. Beckett, I love and adore you with every single part of me.”
This follows Aurora who is a school teacher in a small town and heads to the city for a teachers conference. After a bad experience at the same hotel last year she is back but getting above and beyond treatment. Little does Aurora know the owner of the hotel has his sights on her but why?
This was a good read. I enjoyed their time together and it felt like a quick, easy good novel. We had some good spice and then some scenes were either open door/fade to black. I will say I struggle with fast-paced books it’s more of a personal thing. I also found some elements unrealistic for example randomly him entering her hotel room. He may be the owner but they only just met the night before and I didn’t feel sparks was just a nice conversation. The second was how did Dean manage to duplicate her key so Talon entered her home without permission. These things didn’t sit right with me personally. Overall it’s just a good read that I recommend if you want something quick and easy.

What a fanatic small town romance Renee delivered again!
Here is what to expect: 🩷 Fake marriage 🤍grumpy for the others but soo good only for her 🩷billionaire romance 🤍OTT possessiv 🩷" my wife" this "my wife" that 🤍 only smile for her
When Aurora head to a teachers’ conference in Miami should it be a nice break from her. Until this grumpy billionaire Talon Beckett made propositioned to her to be his wife for six months.
My always favorite thing in books is where there have grumpy billionaire, who is also domineering, and here ladies Talon is fitting so well in the critering! When Aurora accepted his offer, she definitely didn't suspect that this 6 months fake arrangement, will change her life forever, and most importantly will find the love in her life. Talon also, the one that didn't believe in love and didn't know what mean to be commitment to a woman,is totally swept by Aurora, who doesn't stop to surprise him in every turn. As I say in the beginning this is definitely fantastic story, with great chemistry between the characters from the very beginning. The spice...🫠🫠let's say that Renee definitely make my blood pressure to rise. 🤭
So if you love the described tropes that I have mentioned in the beginning, this is definitely the book for you,Renee will not disappoint you!😌😉
***ARC REVIEW**** I have learnt things about myself from this book. Everybody likes a man with a filthy mouth but I never quite thought a woman with a filthy mouth will be my undoing but DAMN😭🧎♀️ The whirlwind of a romance that was Aurora and Talon’s story was absolutely fucking adorable.. I could not even point out the place where it got real because they just always had that forever kind of love . I do wish this was longer though so the story would’ve established itself more in its potential. And why am I lowkey shipping Dean and Andrew?😭
Billionaire Talon needs to find a wife and ASAP if he is to inherit the family hotel business. Aurora agrees to the six month marriage as long as Talon accompanies her to her ex's wedding.
We all know what happens in marriage of convenience books right? I think it is fast becoming one of my favourite tropes, watching our two main characters fall for each other. Talon and Aurora had sizzling chemistry which radiated throughout the pages. The supporting characters of Talon's grandmother and best friend and Aurora's family and best friends were also fantastic. I managed to read this book pretty quickly. It's one of those books that once you start, you find it incredibly hard to stop. If you like your romances sweet but steamy, then I definitely recommend picking this one up.
This is a fake marriage/convenience so that the MMC can become CEO. Hes a billionaire and she’s a teacher! Once he goes to her small town, he starts to fall when he knows he shouldn’t!
Open door spice, billionaire MMC, and a great story!
In order to gain control of his grandfather's hotels, Talon needs to find a fake wife, preferably as soon as possible. When his friend and his right-hand Dean give him the list of all the conference attendees, Talon sees that Aurora will be the perfect choice. This is not the only reason - he is mesmerized by how beautiful she is, and he knows that he is in danger from all the things he feels just from a photo. Aurora is at a teachers' conference for the second year in a row, and she hopes that this one will be better than the last one. To say that she was surprised when Talon approached her is an exaggeration.
A year before the actual story, Aurora is at the same conference, but she never has the chance to enjoy it because the hotel she is at double booked her room. On top of that, she bumps into a stranger and falls to the ground, but never receives an apology. Little did she know that this stranger was Talon.
These two felt all the spark flying between them, since they decided to get married. They knew this was only temporary and none of them wanted to give each other false hope. But in order to fall in love, they just needed to be together for a while. Talon couldn't handle being away from her for too long and renovating his grandfather's old hotel just an hour from Aurora was the perfect opportunity.
When they started living together in her house, the chance to get to know each other and fall in love was in front of them. To me, Talon started loving Aurora when he saw her picture. He just needed time to realize it. I love how protective he was towards her, had eyes only for her and how easily he fit into her lifestyle. She felt her attraction grow into something more straight away, but she was quite cautious around him, because she didn't want another heart break.
Their spicy scenes...OMG the spicy scenes. They were everything. There was so much spice, smut and kink and I loved everything happening between them on the naughty side 🥵. They were perfect for each other in every possible way.
Overall, I loved reading Aurora and Talon's love story ♥️♥️♥️.
***I received an ARC from the author and this is my voluntary review.***
Made for You is a marriage of convenience story between billionaire hotel owner, Talon, and school teacher Aurora. Aurora was hesitant at first to agree to Talon’s plan but when she realized what she could use the money for she wholeheartedly agreed and figured it would be no problem keeping a clear boundary. Oh boy were they both wrong about that! The minute they kissed the sparks ignited and they knew their marriage was going to be anything but simple even with an expiration date.
It was so fun to see a different side of Aurora and Talon certainly brought it out of her. These two fit so well together and they somehow knew instantly what the other needed. The chemistry between them is on point but the emotional connection between them was even stronger. This is such a fun small town series and I’m excited for Aspen’s story next!
Thank you @reneeharless for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback.
This was an adorably sweet small town romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Despite his grumpy, broody demeanour, Talon ended up being completely perfect for Aurora. He spoiled her and treated her with care, and in turn, Rory showed him a whole new world of love and family. His encouragement of her photography was also precious.
I loved the way her family eventually welcomed him in. Sure, Andrew was a butthead, but the rest of them embraced him and accepted their love for each other.
I also loved Gigi and Dean!! I do hope we get to see more of him in the future, whether it’s his own story or he just pops in for cameos in future books. He was such a cheeky bugger!
Overall this was quite lighthearted with great main and side characters, that gave a really cosy small town romance vibe.
Aurora and Talon may be my favorite couple of this series yet. A marriage of convenience that works out with no third act breakup, a reformed grump, and spice to boot.
Talon is such a straightforward guy. He isn't afraid to go after what he wants. He is upfront about his wants and wishes, which do well for him both on business and with Aurora. There is little room for grey area. He wants his CEO position, and his trustfund and the fastest way is by marriage. Rory happens to meet all of his criteria for this to happen, and being the free spirt she is, she goes along for the ride. What we get is to experience these two fall in love. Another great addition to this series.
“His eyes glimmered from the lights in the bar, and they reminded me of the night sky–dark and mysterious with only the light of the moon to illuminate the surroundings. They mesmerized me.” -Rory
“My mother used to say we could make our own fate. Every choice we made could change that fate. It was ours to design.” -Rory
“Talon Beckett was born to shine, and I refused to be the one to dim his light.” -Rory
I enjoyed Rory and Talon’s story so much! I read the first two books in the series (it’s an interconnected standalone series, so this isn’t strictly necessary, but I do recommend them both), Time for You and Fell for You, before I read this one, and while I also enjoyed them, there was just something about Rory and Talon that made me extra swoony. Was it that Talon was a broody billionaire? Maybe. Was it that he was grumpy to Rory’s sunshine and only smiled for her? Probably. Either way, I loved both of those things. Also, it was probably definitely the fact that Talon is a master of “my wife”. So, yeah, I was definitely drawn to this book by the fake marriage trope, too, because it’s one of my favorites. Rory never expected anything more than learning when she went to Florida for a teachers conference, but she ended up meeting Talon Beckett and her whole life changed. Okay, so it was less of a chance meeting and more of a “planned by Talon so he could get a fake wife” meeting. But, either way, Rory comes home with a husband who she expects to never see because she thought the whole thing was just a business transaction. Imagine her surprise when Talon comes to her small town and declares that he’ll be living with her while he works nearby. She also never expected Talon to be sweet and caring towards her when he was nothing but a grump to everyone else. It also helped that Talon was so good at reminding everyone, even Rory, that she was his wife. Seriously, guys, if you’re looking for a “my wife” microtrope, this is right up your alley because Talon does it well. I’m not surprised that Rory was swooning over it because, like me (and all of us), Rory is a romance book junkie and it’s hard to resist a “my wife” man. I enjoyed that Talon’s best friend, Dean, and his grandmother accepted Rory into his life immediately and wanted the best for her. The same went for Talon with Rory’s family–it took them a little while since Rory and Talon’s marriage was fast and done in secret, but the Easterlys still accepted Talon into their big, crazy, loving family. I enjoyed Rory and Talon’s story immensely, and I cannot wait to see what Aspen gets up to in her story!
Ah how I enjoyed this book! The author had written to me if I wanted to read an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I knew small town and billionaire and those just happen to be two of my favorite tropes!
This book was a wonderfully fun read. All my favorite tropes together, a terribly sexy alpha male type with secretly a tiny heart and it also turned out to have no third act break up!
Talon is a grumpy billionaire but immediately has a soft spot for Aurora and also falls head over heels for her. Of course at first he just calls it lust but as a reader you see right through that 😉
Although the story is obviously somewhat unrealistic, I loved reading it and getting to know the many characters. Meanwhile, I'm also totally curious about the stories of Aurora's siblings.
Read this if you love writers like Melanie Harlow, Elsie Silver, Aurora Rose Reynolds, Lucy Score.... Or if you love Alpha males types who really like to say "my wife" a lot. Like a lot a lot. Also she likes to call him “husband” as well 🤷🏼♀️
Okay I was waiting for this one since Rory is my fav character and I have to say that I’m not disappointed AT ALL! I really enjoyed this book — especially that part of me that is obsessed with small town romance. This book is really cute, in every way possible!
Rory & Talon were the absolute cutest together. Even though it was first a marriage of convenience they really found each other and developed one of the sweetest relationship. Rory is a real sunshine and I love how she’s trying to prove to her family that she’s a grown, independent & mature woman. I have to say that Talon had my heart since the very first page. He is sooo protective & supportive of Rory. They’re the perfect match and the proof that opposites attract.
If you want an easy & fun read AND you love grumpy x sunshine then you’ll without a doubt enjoy this book!
Thank you Renee Harless for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to read this book as an advanced reader.
Tropes :
💍Marriage of convenience 💍Small town 💍Billionaire 💍Found family 💍Opposites attract
Well... I'm all for a marriage of convenience and this one was DELICIOUS 🔥 Talon & Aurora's chemistry was sizzling from the get go and I was immediately sucked into their meet cute (who doesn't appreciate the classic grumpy x sassy sunshine).
This story had it all; small town charm, classic billionaire vibes, an epic bromance (Dean needs his own story) and such hilarious banter. I'll always support a strong minded, ambitious FMC and Rory had such a big heart it would be impossible not to root for her.
I've been lucky enough to receive ARCs for all 3 books so far in the Sunny Brook Farms series and each one gets better than the last! I'm excited to keep reading future books in the series but for today, run and grab this latest book as it's available now 💕
Aurora is a teacher who is in Miami for the second year in a row for a teacher conference. While there Talon approaches her with a great deal if she agrees to marry him. UM WHAT?! What could go wrong?
Aurora is a sassy, strong and independent FMC! Talon is your typical billionaire MMC. There is a lot of “my wife” moments. They both have instant chemistry, their communication was absolutely fantastic. Talon could tell when something was wrong with aurora and I loved that. I can’t wait to read more from this author!!
Read if you like: Billionaire Romance Small Town Marriage of convenience Grumpy x Sunshine No third act breakup He falls first
“An orange-colored sundress swirled around her ankles, and her hair hung loosely around her shoulders. She reminded me of the early dawn. Bright and alluring. Her name suited her perfectly.”
Marriage of convenience? Check Grumpy MMC? Absolutely Adorable small town? You betcha Sunshiney heroine that remembers to stand strong? 100% Billionaire that buys her a camera and frames her photographs? SWOON BABY Nickname? 🍑
Any of those catch your fancy?….if so, time to go back to Sunny Brook Farms (and some time in Miami) to witness Theo + Aurora fall in love 💕
Let me just say, there is something about a grumpy alphahole that gets soft for her. That will move into a little cottage and make it a home with her. That will find a little bit of his past while falling for his future. Plus, when her slimy, jerk of an ex tries to get her back…”my wife” getting thrown around will make you kick your feet with glee!
Oh Rory and Talon….Talon and Rory.. what to say. They have to be my favorite couple so far
I was a little nervous at first cause I wasn’t captured right away in the beginning BUT boy, once I got swept away I was a goner.
Talon is a billionaire (soon to be) hotel owner with a troubled childhood who doesn’t believe in love. Rory is a small town teacher who is just trying to do right for the kids in her community. So when Talon offers her one million dollars to be fake married for 6 months so he can take control of the company - Who is she to say no?
P.S And of course I do love when the whole Easterly clan shows up, they are the family I wish I had 😂
P.S.S I swooned over Talon every time he said “wife or my wife” and his protectiveness of Rory was sooo hott, the “you talk disrespectfully about my wife I’ll kill you, oh that sounded like a joke, no really I’ll kill you” kind of protectiveness. (IYKYK). That man would give her the world if she would let him!
Talon and Aurora’s story is the sweetest. The book was so much fun to read.
Talon scares his employees with his hard exterior but when he meets Aurora his hard exterior disappears. She makes him smile from the very moment they start chatting. Aurora was invited to her ex boyfriend’s wedding. She didn’t wanted to go but know that her ex would make a scene or hurt her family in someway. When Talon proposes they get married so he can get his rightful inheritance, Aurora accepts after Talon said he would be her date to the wedding. But with their chemistry, their fake marriage turns into a real one.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review.
This is book 3 in the Sunny Brook Farms series. Our FMC is a teacher headed to a convention after a disaster of an attempt last year. Our MMC is interim CEO of the hotel chain it's being held at, and in order to become full CEO and inherit his trust fund, he needs to find a wife and be married for 6 months. He decides to pick someone, our FMC, from the convention to be his wife in name only. It will be a strictly business agreement. He will inherit and she will get $1 million. The chemistry is undeniable, and lines get blurred. But will this end as it's supposed to, blow up in their faces or could it be a happily ever after?
Wow, Wow, Wow. This Sunny Book Farms series just keeps getting better and better. Just when I think one book has the best couple, along comes the next book in the series, by Renee Harless. Talon and Aurora are the perfect couple. This starts out as a fake marriage but turns into so much more. I couldn't put this book down, it was that good. I know that the next book will be just as good if not better and I really can't wait. Way to go Renee another 5 star read.
I think Talon and Rory might be my favourite Renee couple so far.
I was hooked from the second I picked this book up and read it in one day.
Talon is the soic hotel owner who presents Rory with an offer she can't refuse, six months, a fake marriage, and he will pay her one million dollars. What's she got to lose?!
Rory and Talon have the most sizzling chemistry, and I loved every second of their blossoming relationship.
Talon is obsessed with Rory, and this book has all of the MY WIFE moments you could ever want.
This book is sweet and spicy and has the perfect blend of small-town, marriage of convenience, and billionaire vibes to create an amazing story.
I did not think it was possible for me to love a character more than others, but this author has done it again. Talon has risen in the list of favorite characters. This story is fantastic and hard to put down. I can’t get enough of this town or characters and need more asap!!!
A quick little read about a billionaire who arranges a “fake” marriage with a teacher who just so happens to be attending a conference in his hotel.
Oh, you thought he was a stuffy, out of touch billionaire? Guess again. Talon is total SIMP for Rory. If you like billionaire, small town AND fake romance, this book is for you.
P.S - It's very heavy on the "My Wife." You're welcome. 😉
Talon and Aurora may have started off with marriage of convenience, but the attraction and feelings they felt for each other shows through from the start. I really liked this story, I liked the progression of their feelings for each other and that we didn't have to go through a woe is me break up. I think these two are my favorite from this series.
Talon and Aurora are two characters with strong and defined personalities. They embark on a marriage of convenience that gradually transforms into a relationship full of passion and tenderness. The story unfolds in a pleasant way and without great dramas, which makes it a light and enjoyable read. As the pages progress, we witness how the relationship between Talon and Aurora evolves naturally, from initial distrust to a deep and sincere love. These two characters complement each other perfectly.
I especially loved seeing how the relationship between Talon and Aurora develops gradually and credibly. It is not love at first sight, but a feeling that is built over time. The story is very enjoyable, but at times it can be a bit predictable.
Overall, I found it to be a very pleasant and recommendable read. The story of Talon and Aurora is a beautiful love story without great dramas. The characters are charming and the plot develops in a pleasant and fluid way. Additionally, I enjoyed finding some of the characters from the other stories in the series again.
📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.
---
This talented wordsmith is someone whose work is still fairly new to me, and I’m so glad to have found her. She gives us warm, welcoming book worlds and endearing characters. It's small-town romance at its finest.
When Aurora Easterly leaves her small Tennessee town and returns to Miami for her second teachers’ conference, she has no idea what's in store for her. She hopes to learn about agricultural grants for some of her students but returns home with a brand new Mrs. degree. Of course, it's not a “real" marriage, and only for six months.
Talon Beckett's grandfather, the matriarch of Wilder Hotels, is not a nice man, and old fashioned enough to insist the heir to the hotel chain be married. Talon is the rightful heir to the family's hotels. He's the one who has worked hard and brought them into the 21st Century, and his uncle is determined to take over. Aurora is the perfect woman to help him out. What Talon doesn’t expect is to genuinely like Aurora, her family, and her small town.
Aurora is amazing! Her family may view her as the baby and feel the need to protect her, but she's her own woman. She’s smart and kind, and has no problem nicely but firmly sticking it to a conference line-jumper. She's Talon's perfect counterpoint in every way.
Talon may think he’s the big city, never marry, billionaire type, but Ashfield, TN, and the Easterly family work some kind of small-town, farming magic on him. He finds something peaceful and satisfying he never realized he was longing for.
I loved everything about this one – the small town, Aurora's family, the colorful locals, and Talon's grandmother, Gigi. There are so many entertaining scenes that really bring the story alive, and a surprising serendipitous connection that stole what was left of my heart. Charming, heartfelt, humorous, and hot, you'll love every minute you spend in this world. I guarantee these characters will abscond with your heart, so don’t miss it!
