Taking over the family farm in our small town was the only future I knew. But the never ending work left me with no social life and my virginity intact. Until my childhood rival graced us with his presence and was convinced he could help me with my...problem.
Owen Ramsey was an elite professional baseball player that left Ashfield without a backward glance. But when he was left at the altar, he sought refuge back in our town. I hated how he could simultaneously make my heart race and my hands fist. And I really despised how good he looked in a pair of baseball pants.
He needed my help just as much as I needed his. If I agreed to fake date him, he would help me snag the man I had my eye on and I would help convince his ex that he wasn't heartbroken.
But with his return to baseball looming, we realized maybe the hate we felt was really something more like love.
The fear of disappointing my family was too great, even though I craved something different for the first time ever. Owen was used to hitting balls out of the park, but I wasn’t sure I was meant to be his home run.

I devoured this book in one day! I absolutely loved it. This is the first book I’ve read in the series and now I definitely want to go read the first 3.
Aspen & Owen were so great together! They grew up as rivals, constantly trying to get a rise out of each other. When they run into each other years later, MLB player, Owen can’t stop his feelings for her. They decide to fake date so that Owen’s ex-fiancé will leave him alone and so that Owen can teach Aspen how to land the man of her dreams.
I was cracking up at how all the townspeople reacted seeing them together! 🤣
There was so much emotional depth to both Owen and Aspen’s characters. Owen caught his fiance cheating on him at his wedding and ran home. Home wasn’t a happy place for him as a kid and he is still trying to overcome his trauma. There are flashbacks of parental abuse of a child.
Aspen has tried everything she can to be the person her family needs her to be and take over the farm. She has strong people pleasing tendencies and Owen was great at helping her prioritize herself.
This book had all the emotions, I laughed, I cried and I blushed. There are spicy lessons in this book and the chemistry between them gave me BURNS. 🔥
If you love angst slow burns between two people that just want to find their place in the world, go add 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 to your TBR today!
This is the first book I read by this author and I will definitely be going back to read the others in this series. Owen and Aspen are so good together. I loved all the characters in this story. This was a great small town, fake dating and childhood rivals to lovers romance.
Another absolutely amazing trip to Sunny Brook Farm.
Aspen and Owen were perfect in every way. My heart literally broke for Aspen and the way she felt so overlooked by her family and how Owen was the only one who noticed.
I loved the banter between them and how they fell into the perfect relationship that was supposed to be fake but was far from it!!
Owen is the epitome of the perfect book boyfriend, and how he loved Aspen and how he had always loved her was beautiful.
This book was so good. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed every page. This series has been so good, and I can't wait for more.
I had been waiting for this book for a long time. Owen and Aspen's love story lived up to my expectations.
After so many years away, Owen returns to Ashfield for a much deserved break and to clear his mind from the fiasco on his wedding day. His hometown carried a lot of memories for him - all good and bad. There he meets his favorite rival. Aspen and Owen have been enemies since childhood. Every single time they met, there was angst and so many sparks 🔥. Well, at one point, they needed each other for their own reasons, so they struck a deal - fake dating. In front of their whole town they were this cute couple that finally realized they liked each other, but in front of themselves - everyone had something to gain.
To be honest, I fell in love with them. I know that at the beginning they were annoying each other, but under all of that there was so much attraction. I saw every look, every touch and every feeling Aspen had towards him. I also saw Owen's thoughts, his inner turmoil and his love for Aspen. What I liked in particular here was that there wasn't a lot of drama or tug/pull war between them. As soon as they realized they were falling in love, they admitted it and began dating for real. Their love was really beautiful, sweet and romantic.
Well, the love scenes didn't disappoint me either. With Aspen being the inexperienced one, Owen was the most caring and loving person for her. Their chemistry in bed was really strong and their scenes were hot, spicy and full of smut 🥵🥵🥵.
Overall, I loved reading "All for you" ♥️.
***I received an ARC from the author and my review is given voluntarily.***
I LOVE a good, angsty slow burn. Owen and Aspen deliver it in spades!!
Owen and Aspen are a cautionary tale in their small town. If those two are seen together everyone knows that fire works are about to be set off because these two cannot stand the sight of the other, so what happens when all of that begins to change?
One summer together and these two discover just how fine the line of love and hate truly is. Owen needs Aspens help and Aspen needs his so when a truce is reached these two find themselves spending more and more time together and the desire becomes palpable.
I loved Aspens drive and getting to see who she is as a person. She feels like the forgotten sister but to Owen she’s unforgettable. Owen is a man who knows what he wants and will go for it. He’s had a life that many admire without realizing the pain it took to get it. He will do what it takes to reach his goals he just needs someone to show him what love truly is because that’s the one thing he’s missing.
Fall in love with Owen and Aspen on this beautiful story!
This was my first book by Renee and while I hadn’t read any of the previous books in the series, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything reading this as a strong story on its own.
Aspen and Owen, childhood enemies to lovers — I loved them. The story was full of depth and detail that really sucked me in and let their journey together seem so natural and not at all forced. I especially love how Renee handled their intimate moments (considering Aspen was a virgin at 24) - it felt very special between them.
Their bickering turned to bantering and a “fake dating” agreement turned to real affection — as they both leaned on each other for support in their own ways.
Gah, I just loved them so much. I can’t wait to go back and read the other books in this series now!
From the age of six, Aspen and Owen have been competing against each other or pulling pranks on the other, to the point the folks of Ashfield became worried anytime they were in the same room.
But what happens when they start spending more time together? The attraction between these two was phenomenal. And to find out about Owen’s tattoo! Loved it!!! But when he told her that he did what ever he could to make sure he had her attention, it was the sweetest.
This was a GREAT novel and the first one I have read by Renee. Renee really nailed small town and created such a great setting, and groups of characters. I loved the FMC and MMC chemistry. This is a great novel for those who love fake dating, and childhood rivals to lovers. I am definitely interested in going back and reading the other novels in the series now!
Another book in this series that I like!! is one that reads itself because it's so good.
Aspen is the youngest in the family, but she's always attentive to everything related to the farm. She finished high school and stayed behind to take care of the family's farm, surprisingly, nobody in her family seems to notice her, they leave her on the sidelines, which was new to me because I always thought of everyone in this family as very close; then there's Owen, the star baseball player, who returns to town after being left? at the altar okey, to be honest, it didn't feel that way to me, before they arrived, he found his fiancee with someone else so, he comes back to the town and finds his whole life turned upside down. It's worth noting that he doesn't have a good relationship with his mom, which deteriorated during the years he was away, he also had a tough childhood (you can check the content warnings on the author's page; the link is in the early pages of the book, and they're quite heavy), which is why he didn't return to the town until now.
As kids, Owen and Aspen didn't get along, they were always playing pranks on each other, and not the friendly kind. But when Owen returns and meets Aspen again, they come to an agreement and although not everything is forgotten, they get along. The fake dating was good, even sweet, but honestly, everything around Aspen's first experience left me a bit bored and I'm not sure why. However, when they finally get together without pretending, they become even more adorable, the way he treats her and gives her the place she deserves is the best part of the whole book.
While there's no major drama between the main characters, there are some issues with the side characters that get resolved quickly. Without a doubt, the author knows how to make me fall in love with her characters, and as always Owen was no exception.
📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.

ARC Review 💋 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4.5 This is the 4th book in the Sunny Brook Farms and is futuring Aspen Easterly ,the little Easterly sister and her childhood nemesis Owen Ramsey the professional basketball player.
Taking over her family farm, was the only future Aspen was knowing. But the endless work, and always busy schedule left her without social life, and lack of confidence in the opposite gender company. That's until her childhood river Owen ,is coming back into their town, after being left in front the altar.
One thing lead to another and Owen find solution with how theyr both will help each other. If he make Aspen to agree to fake date him,he will help her to snag the man she hase her eyes one,and she will help him, to convince his ex that he wasn't heartbroken. With every day they spend together, sparks start to fly,and the hate that was between them ,start to develop inte strong, passionate love, that make me swon .🥹
I love Aspens character, and her determination that she will do anything to not disappoint her family. She for sure was feeling, like the forgotten sister, who always was in the shadows. That definitely break me heart, and make me pissed with her family because I was feeling the same with the way they was treating her. Here is Owen the sweetest man,who was truly looking her and after her. He was absolutely swoon worthy man,who was looking always for Aspen to be alright and to be cared for.🥹 Owen’s backstory also was not pink, and for him aslo break my heart with the life he hase. Gah, I just loved them so much, and I was not able to put the book down without finishing her . The only thing that make me struggle was the rushed ending.
But overall as always I was consumed by Renee writing, and her story's, that make me enjoy every page of them. Now when I know that one book separate us from the end of this epic series I'm starting to get scared and nostalgic. Once again thank you for the ARC Renee, I'm looking forward for Next book!!💚
please note that the trigger warnings and topes/themes may contain spoilers I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. HEA: yes POV: dual 1st person POV spice: several open-door spicy scenes TWs: anxiety, cheating, child abuse (recounted), domestic abuse (recounted), emotional abuse (recounted), panic attacks Kinky Content: anal play, dirty talk, fingering, first time, masturbation, “one more”, oral, praise, rimming, somnophilia, “teach me” standalone: book 4 in the Sunny Brook Farms series (interconnected standalones) final thoughts: this was my first book by Renee Harless, and I’ll definitely be picking up more, especially in the Sunny Brook Farms series! FMC Aspen works tirelessly on her family’s farm and never has time to herself… until baseball superstar Owen comes back to town and encourages her to make the time and fake date him to get the press off his back after a failed wedding. The banter, the falling, the found family, the tattoos- I was swooning the whole time. So many great tropes in a book that is easy to read and quick to get you sicked into their little world.
read this book if you love 🍿 celebrity 💞 childhood crush 💏 fake dating 🤠 farmer FMC 🏝️ forced proximity 👨👩👧👦 found family 🤜 childhood rivals-to-lovers 🤗 "f*ck it" 🧑🤝🧑 great side characters 👦 he falls first and hard 🤫 hidden secrets 🩹 hurt/comfort 🧠 “it’s always been you” 🛏️ “it’s just a fling” 🗺️ long distance relationship 🥰 nicknames 💤 nightmare comfort 🙏 praise 🏡 small town ⚾ sports romance (baseball) 🤓 “teach me” 💳 virgin 😠 “who did this to you?” 🌍 world building
Did I love this book? Yes I did. Did I love both Aspen and Owen? Absolutely! I without a doubt fell for this couple. Not only were they perfect for each other but they had the best history. Well it might not have seemed like the best at the moment but those are memories they will always cherish.
My heart ached for Owen as we learned about his painful childhood. I am so glad that he had Aspen to lean on as he finally started to heal. I'm also very glad we didn't have to deal with a "other woman" dilemma. Yeah we had the ex- fiance trying to cause issues. But Owen dating Aspen helped, even if it started out fake.. we all knew that wasn't gonna last.
And Aspen? She was strong willed and stubborn. But I felt for her. I understood the whole not being seen or heard issue. But I also ached for her thinking she had to take on something just because no one else was. If not for Owen she would have worked herself to the bone. I'm also glad we didn't have a "other guy" situation either. That idiot wasn't worth Aspen's time.
I have loved this family from the moment I met them and I continue to love them with every new story. With that said I'm looking forward to big brother Andrew's story. I have so many thoughts!
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review*
Tropes: -small town -fake dating -jilted groom -virgin heroine -childhood rivals to lovers -baseball player -found family -no third act breakup
All For You is book four in the Sunny Brook Farms series and is Aspen and Owen's story. I love Renee's writing and this series is so good.
Aspen is the younger Easterly sister and is taking care of the farm. Owen, her rival since grade school, is a shortstop for the MLB team in Los Angeles. Both now twenty-four, Owen is back in their small town after catching his fiancé on their wedding day. He asks Aspen to fake date him to get the press off his back from his fiasco of a wedding day and to help her get the man she has her eyes set on. The more time they spend together however, the sparks go flying.
I love these two! Aspen does what she can to not disappoint her family. Owen really is swoon worthy and I liked that they left their past in the past. Owen was Aspen's strength when she needed it and vice versa to Aspen. She never released she was his source of happiness growing up.
This story was well written and did not feel rushed. Everything flowed so nicely, and I could not put this down. There were a lot of layers and I'm a sucker for a small-town romance!
Releasing June 25, 2024, I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
What a joy to go back to this world 😍🩷 I read Aurora and Talon’s story and loved it so I was very happy to read the other siblings’ stories as well. So I was very excited when I got this arc in my inbox ✨
This book had everything to make a good romance story and it read so smoothly. I read it in two sittings 😂 I love enemies to lovers, I love virgin MC’s (don’t know why tbh), I love fake dating and I looooove *spoiler* when one of them was actually secretly pining for the other for a while.
Owen is a baseball player who goes home to his hometown because he found his fiancé cheating on him during the rehearsal dinner. Aspen is a very headstrong young woman who took on all the responsibilities of running her family’s farm. They used to be childhood rivals but circumstances bring them together rather quickly and they decide to fake date. Owen to get his ex off his back and Aspen to learn how to date and let loose to hopefully get a guy she likes. Only - what did you expect - it turns real, real fast.
I honestly loved how quickly they both were like “nope, feels real, we’re not faking anymore” after one kiss basically 😂😂
I don’t know what else to say except that I just really loved this book. It was cute, funny, romantic, spicy…
And I especially loved the hints for Andrew’s book!! Can’t wait!
All For You is the fourth book in the Sunny Brook Farms series by Renee Harless. It's a small-town, fake dating romance, and I really enjoyed it. I have definitely found another great small-town author!
Owen is the all-star shortstop for the major league baseball team, the Los Angeles Coyotes. Aspen takes care of the family farm in their small town. They have been rivals since grade school. Now they're both twenty four, and Owen comes back to their small town after catching his fiance in a compromising position on their wedding day.
The story was really good, and I loved the banter between Owen and Aspen. This would be such an amazing movie: fun, flirty, witty banter, but also serious at times. I'm laughing to myself at the thought of their shenanigans in their younger days. If you like small-town romance, I would definitely recommend this one.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really want to be part of the Easterly Family 😍. I just need to find a way to fictionally make it happen.
I typically am not a huge fan of a slow burn, but something about a small town and throw in the tension these two have and it doesn't really feel slow at all. That 🔥 is just smoldering and so good when the 💥 finally happens.
I have loved the firecracker that is Aspen for a bit now and was so excited for her story. Boy, did I know anticipate was I was in for, but honestly it was amazing and I shouldn't have expected any less. Owen and Aspen's story combine some of my favorite tropes in the best ways and I'm already wishing I could reread this for the first time again.
What to Expect 👀
🔥Childhood rivals-to-lovers 🔥Jilted Groom 🔥Sports/Baseball 🔥Fake Dating 🔥Virgin Heroine 🔥He Falls First 🔥Small Town
Everything happened pretty fast and for two people who couldn't stand each other come up with a plan to help each other out on day one of the MMC being back in his hometown. It felt predictable, which isn't a bad thing. Both MC's were likable and cute. A couple things I had a hard time wrapping my head around, which was probably 100% me. The fake dating and the "dislike" they supposedly felt for each other was missing that something for me.
Being a 4th book in a series and starting as the first book to read in the series, there were a lot of characters who I am pretty sure are in the previous books.
What a delightful sweet slow burn this book was. The chemistry between Aspen and Owen was like a powder keg, the tension building slowly and masterfully. This is a childhood rivals to lovers, fake dating, small town romance that will capture your heart.
This is my first time reading from this author, and I’ll definitely circle back to the previous books in this series. Whilst this is the fourth in the Sunny Brook Farms series, it can be read and thoroughly enjoyed as a standalone.
Thank you @renee_harless and @theauthor.agency for the e-ARC of this wonderful story. The words oozed from the page effortlessly straight into my soul.
This series is so sweet, easy to read, and just a perfect romance book! I love Owen and Aspen, they have such a good backstory filled with pranks and enemies, but as adults they don't pick jt up and instead have respect and an easy going friendship that is fun and breezy. There isn't too much drama at all, it's just two people falling in love but trying to gluten out how to make their lives mesh.
Aspen grew into herself so well throughout the book really pushing back against her family and asking for what she wants and I loved seeing her become confident! I can't wait to continue this series because I know Andrew's book will be good!
This was my first Renee Harless book and I loved it. This is Aspen’s story. She is a small town girl with dreams that no one knows of. She is a hard worker on her family farm and is overlooked. Her arch nemesis Owen returns to town to her dismay. Despite their crazy history, they concoct a fake dating scheme to help each other out. Well, their connection said “hold my beer”. LOL. These two had chemistry that’s been brewing for years. They decide to go with the flow and their relationship gets real really fast. The conundrum is that Owen can’t stay. He has obligations and Aspen feels like she can’t leave because her family needs her.
I really got a kick of this book. It was emotional at times and funny at times. This couple really engaged in some crazy antics when they supposedly hated each other. I loved how Owen encouraged Aspen to enjoy life more. I just loved this couple. They were just perfect for each other.
**I received an advanced reader copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving this review. **
I loved this book! It had delicious angst and a slow burn, bringing out all the emotions in me, but also the emotional depth of the characters. They both have a story, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Owen is a baseball player at the highest level, but it has not always been easy for him. Returning home to lay low, bring out his past. Aspen is a bit shy and a people pleaser; she makes a deal with Owen to help her while he is home. Together Owen and Aspen are great, they have a history, but the town's reaction to them together is perfection.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Renee Harless has done it again!! Aspen and Owen are faking dating goals & the journey to their very real feelings was delicious 😍
I love a small town romance, and the references to the terror they caused each other throughout their childhood was hilarious. True enemies to lovers 🤣 Aspen herself epitomised truly putting family first, even at the expense of her own dreams and plans for the future. I loved witnessing her siblings (& past MCs) open their eyes to the true Aspen and appreciate her for the strong woman she is.
I've been so lucky to read all four books in the series ahead of publication and want to thank Author Renee Harless for trusting me with a copy. This book is available now and I'm already excited for the fifth and final book in the series 💕
I completely devoured this book. I absolutely loved it. Aspen and Owen were just perfect main characters. The plot was so enjoyable and easy to read. It had the right combination of romance, friendship, and family. This book had everything you wanted from a small, town romance with a touch of the big city. Aspen was such a determined character but hadn't discovered the right balance in her life. Owen was such a great character who helped Aspen find the courage to let go and find a balance to her life.
first i would like to thank renee for the opportunity to be an arc reader for “all for you”! this was my first book by renee, and it didn’t disappoint! i now want to go back and read the other 3 books in the sunny brook farms series!
this was such a fun read! i absolutely loved aspen & owen’s relationship! i loved reading about the pranks they pulled on eachother as kids, and i loved owen’s tattoo for aspen 🥹 and dont’t get me started on the playful banter…it was just so good!
owen & aspen come from completely different backgrounds, and i really enjoyed reading the backstories.
aspen had so much growth in this book! i was so happy when she stood up for herself and telling her family what she wants & needs instead of her feeling the need to do everything within the farm.
after reading owen & aspen’s story, it makes me excited to go back in time to read everyone else stories!
read if you enjoy: - fake dating - he falls first - childhood rivals to lovers - small town - sports romance (baseball)
5 Star Review of All For You (Sunny Brook Farms #4) by Renee Harless
Having read previous books, I could not wait to read All For You, book four in the Sunny Brook Farms series. I was so happy to be back in Ashfield.
All For You was an entertaining, well written, story that ticked all the boxes for me. There’s a fine line between love and hate and that’s what happens to Owen and Aspen. I fell hard for Owen, a man who knows what he wants and goes after it.
When Owen asks Aspen to help him out and fake date him, she agrees, after all she has her own agenda in agreeing. The chemistry between them was intense, and it was entertaining to watch the push and pull dynamic as their relationship developed , despite their determination not to become involved. This was a great addition to a wonderful series.
Aspen has to ask for what she wants. Demand what she’s worth from her family, for things like work, knowledge, and time. Because she lives on site, eats on site, and works on site the family takes advantage of the fact that she can just drop everything and do it. You know, because she has no life. She works seven days a week and if they could pile on more they would. She has had no vacation in seven years and has had only one friend that she hardly ever sees, and she is still a virgin for goodness' sake, of dating no less.
When the family is all together, she tries to talk to different members no one listens to her or takes her seriously. Not even her father, and yet she’s the one who works the farm daily. Her ideas for the farm are not taken seriously. She goes retrieves, goes through the data, and tries to figure out ways to best utilize the land and keep it cost-effective for the family. Now she’s at the grocery store getting bread for her sister’s B & B, so they can serve their guest. Then she hears the name she never wanted to hear again, Cricket! She turned around glaring and there he stood in her face Owen Ramsey her nemesis.
The bane of her high school existence. Why did he have to look so good? Even better than the last time she came face-to-face with him. She’d given up hope that he had peaked in high school. No, Owen Ramsey only got better with age. It had been six years of no real contact between these two, but so much happens during this story that has a profound effect on him. When this happens, Aspen starts to look at him differently, too. But there are secrets they have to hold close to the vest for others that can potentially cost them too.
“I realize you may have forgotten everything about our rivalry when you left town, but the last time I was in any moving vehicle with you, my jeans ended up super-glued to the vinyl seats of our school bus.” She looked across the way, and there was their old science teacher from high school. Ms. Glenvar who unfortunately had the luck of having them both in her eleventh-grade chemistry class. During the same period no less, whoever thought that was a good idea was crazy, especially if they knew her history.
After one disastrous lab session, where Owen and she had to partner up, and their assignment caught the table on fire, Ms. Glenvar took a leave of absence for the rest of the year. Aspen still didn’t believe it was their fault. Everyone in Ashfield knew the chaos we tended to cause when we were nearby. So of all things, Chemistry? They were just asking for it. Ms. Glenvar must have felt her stare. Her beady eyes met hers, and her steps faltered as she took in the large body behind her much, much smaller than one.
As if witnessing a crime in action, she took a slow step backward, then another, until she was running to her car parked at the far end of the lot. Running into cricket brings back a lot of old memories for both of them. Not a lot of pleasant memories at that. Being left at the altar and finding out your fiancée had not been faithful to you at all during your relationship is mentally shattering. But a good thing because he figured out his heart had already been spoken for years ago. But, it took coming home licking his wounds to put things in perspective. In this book, I don’t like Alex with the attitude she gives to Owen and Aspen. She truly is a bitch with a capital “B”.
Of all of Renee books that I’ve read (that is, all of the “Sunny Brook Farms” books), “Fell for you” was my favourite book. Yes, was, because I was given an ARC of the newest book “All for You” and everything changed. The first half of the book is so good that I was shocked to find out that the second half was so much better. In terms of romance, “All for You” delivers so well that it might be my favourite book of the series so far (until Andrew has his story, we’ll see about that then). This is the most romantic book of them all. This is what I like the most, that my romance books accentuate the romance and not the physicality of it, if you know what I mean. This book doesn’t come without spice, but it’s not the focus of the book, it’s rather the fulfillment of the love that growns between Aspen and Owen.
Owen is a baseball star whose fiancée jilted him right before the ceremony. Of course the scandal is soon on the cover of magazines and gossip social media. That’s why Owen goes back to Ashville, his hometown. This is where the Easterlys live, the lovely family that has given us such great love stories in the past. The youngest of Marisol’s and Nash’s daughters Aspen is willing to find a love like her sisters’, she’s ready to give herself to a man for the first time, but she doesn’t know how to flirt. She has always been the invisible one, the one who is actually the pillar of the family for she is ready to take over the farm when her father retires, not by choice but fate decided for her. Then Owen, her childhood nightmare is back in town.
Owen ran away from an abusive father and became a great baseball player. Now that his tormentor is gone forever he wants to make amends with his mother although he doesn’t know how. He meets his childhood nightmare Aspen again and he comes up with a plan to stabilize his situation, he proposes to teach her how to flirt and engage the man of her dreams if she accepts to fake date him.
That’s roughly what this book is about. Owen has always been in love with Aspen, she has always been his lighthouse, his strength in dark times, his lucky charm in every game he plays. Renee Harless has created an incredibly romantic hero. He’s willing to do anything and everything for Aspen, he would fight for her, he would make her visible in every aspect of her life, he would take care of her and her needs with such tenderness and sweetness. It’s incredible because this is a boy who grew up in a violent environment, and he still has scars to tell that story. He could have been dark and violent and understandably so, instead he’s a cinnamon roll, precisely what Aspen needs. The line between fake dating and full love is, in this book, so fine that it disolves naturally. It doesn’t break with a shock, it just vanishes. And there’s no third act break-up, no drama, no pain in this story, just self discovery and growth, for both of them together and apart.
This slow burn love story is a rom-com that I would like to have adapted into a pre-fall romantic movie. I am here for it.
Next book will be Andrew’s (Aspen’s big brother), a book we’ve all been begging Renee to write… I’m so excited!
“Owen Ramsey, I agree to fake date you to help me get a boyfriend and keep your ex away.”
All For You was a sweet, swoony and feel-good read that I couldn’t put down once I started. Owen and Aspen were childhood enemies that agreed to fake date and while they history is tumultuous, they have always set off sparks with each other. I loved watching them becoming friends and realizing that they could have something real.
“You’re the only one I see, Aspen. I told you the other night that this thing between us didn’t feel fake anymore. I meant every word. This is as real as it gets for me.”
Aspen was a sweetheart and my heart hurt for her. In her huge family, she is the one that is often overlooked because she flies under the radar. She’s just expected to take care of the family business and no one truly sees that it is not making her happy until Owen. He makes her feel seen and heard and he fights for her when she can’t fight for herself.
“I’d always had her with me in some from since I met her.”
After having called off his wedding, Owen, a professional baseball player, has retreated to his hometown to stay out of the spotlight. He’s avoided going home after graduation because of his painful past and returning home means he has to confront the demons that he has tried to leave behind. He has always had feelings for Aspen and even though he teased her relentlessly through high school, she’s the only one whoever gave him a sense of peace.
“You were the only peace I ever found in this town. Not baseball. Not school. Not my mom. You. Anytime I was around you, everything else went silent inside me.”
The push and pull relationship between Aspen and Owen was full of snarky, flirty banter and a sweet, white-hot chemistry. I loved how Owen brought out a playful side of Aspen and how he made her see that she needed more in her life than work. Owen had also been almost exclusively focused on his career and his relationship with Aspen made him realize that family is just as important. All For You was another fun read in this series that was full of humor, heat and heart.

I loved this book! The run down memory lane with Aspen & Owen's childhood pranks were hilarious! Kids can be something else at times🤣🤣
Aspen is the youngest of 5 kids. She may be the youngest, but she definitely isn't the baby of the family. She was kind of thrown a lot of responsibility and she's accepted it as it is. She feels the weight of the whole family on her shoulders and carries it like a champ.
Owen fleed his hometown as soon as he could and only returns when necessary. When he finds his now ex-fiance cheating on him on the wedding day, he decides to return home until things cool down. His first day back he comes across Aspen and he's not letting her go.
Owen proposes fake dating each other until he leave again. It's a win-win for both. Owen gets his ex to back off and Aspen learns how to flirt and get a date. Aspen is hesitant, but once again feeling left out of her family, she agrees to fake date Owen.
These two were wonderful! Both with secrets & emotions they've kept to themselves, having to stand tall against all odds. They are perfect for each other. Owen was the strength Aspen needed to get her life back, while standing and supporting whatever decision she made. Aspen unknowingly has been Owens strength since they were 6. Coming from an abusive home, Aspen was the only happiness in his life. He may have done some stupid things to keep her attention, she fought back just as strong.
I honestly hated the way Aspen's family was towards her. They never really saw her. They didn't even really spend time with her unless they needed something from her. The fact that it took Owen saying something for them to open their eyes was infuriating.
I loved that Owen fixed his relationship with his mother. His teenage self couldn't see just how much pain and stuck his mother way. The maturity he showed was wonderful!
There is only 1 single sibling left in the family and that's Andrew! I'm excited to read his HEA next!
Thank you so much Renee for the opportunity to read your book early.
This is the first book I've read by Renee Harless but she is an author I've always wanted to read (and this was a great opportunity) and Sunny Brook Farms series was on my TBR.
Tropes include: fake dating rivals to lovers small town romance found family sports romance
Aspen was a relatable character (for me)- she is stubborn but she is a people pleaser. Even though she desires to travel and would like to find love- she is tasked with helping on her family's farm which has consumed her time. When Owen baseball star and Aspen's childhood rival- returns back to their small town temporarily- they strike up a deal-he will help coach her by giving her lessons on dating if she agrees to fake date him to avoid his ex fiancee who left him at the alter.
-I liked all the characters in the book and Aspen and Owen meshed well together. This was an enjoyable read. The spice scenes were good and I was on the edge my seat watching these two find what love truly is while bracing myself for them to finally admit it to each other. Loved that there wasn't a third act breakup- it was done well and the ending was satisfying. I would have loved to have gotten flashbacks (or more detailed instances-so I could really get the rival/enemies tension) when Aspen and Owen were pranking each other when the were younger. It is mentioned a lot in the book how everyone in town knew of their feuds (and were worried or skeptical about their relationship) but it was told/mentioned but not fully developed where as I reader I was convinced that these two characters were enemies. Also I wanted more rival to lover tension (banter)- there were instances where it kind of felt like it was skipped (for example- Aspen loathing Owen (their second encounter) however easily drove him to her place and let him stay over).
I look forward to catching up (reading books 1-3) as I fell in love with the Easterly clan need to know more. I also cannot wait for book 5!!!!!!!! I'm ready for Andrew's story!
