Bill Grayson is a New Jersey high school teacher discontent with his life. So much so his longtime girlfriend leaves him because of his dissatisfaction. Feeling down in the dumps, his brother Jeremy thinks it would be a great idea to go camping for a few days to get away from their troubles. Along with their volatile friend Walter, they head to the North Carolina National Forest for rest and relaxation. What was supposed to be a vacation, instead, turns into a quest for survival as the three men are stalked by a creature that astounds their imaginations. Now on the run, Bill must make difficult choices in order to survive the game that is life and death.
