Good idea, not really written the best. The plot seemed to be choppy here and there. Like a whole chapter was missing. The love making scenes were okay, but I laughed out loud when this line - "I bury myself inside of her hot love tunnel." - I just couldn't believe it.
Alpha Bound by Fate is a great read! Suspenseful in all the right places. I was on edge from the beginning! A pairing like Reed and Zoe is a great idea. Reed is the Alpha wolf of his pack and Zoe is an eagle shifter. Reed and Zoe are united by the need to stop violence happening in and around their community. Bear shifters, led by Reeds rebellious power hungry brother are reeking havoc in both human and shifter communities. You must read this book for yourself to see what happens!
Thanks for taking the time to write the sexy, suspenseful novella!! I look forward to more of the same.
I say I would give this anything between a 3 to 4 starts if I could
Overall it was a slow start and I feel like the first page did not hook me in until the second chapter. I feel like it needed a little more description to the plot and characters. I did like Reed and Zoe they were strong main characters and fit well for each other. For this short book, I did enjoy reading and was pretty quick just for 120 pages.
Ohhh it was very intriguing seeing other type of shifters. As most well known have been werewolf, vampires and dragons. So it was a nice change to see
When Love Overcomes Everything - Reed, the Alpha of the Wolf shifters was worried with the rest of the other shifters in the Guild about how to deal with the trouble the beat shifters were causing and the discovery that they may have a mole in their midst. Zoe had just been assigned her first task since returning from training and just this led to her having to step into the middle of a fracas.
Zoe soon discovered that Reed was her mate, which threw her through a loop, as Reed’s brother was her ex-boyfriend. Unfortunately, their path to happiness didn’t run smooth, as Zoe thought she was doing the right thing when she betrayed Reed’s trust and subsequently put herself in danger to mitigate the risk of losing Reed. Whilst the outcome was favourable, her actions created friction between them and nearly cost them their happy life together.
This was an intriguing action-packed romance, that had me itching to turn the pages, so I can find out what is going to happen next. I was on the edge of my seat and just could stop reading once I started. This was an entertaining read, that you will enjoy.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an ARC copy for review from the author. It is a collection of short stories. We have first the story of Lazarus a Guild head senator of the guild created to serve the supernatural shifter community to ensure their activities do not disrupt human life and to forestall wars and genocide. The story depicts interference by bear shifters and betrayals and loyalists to bear shifters within the fold
Secondly we have Zoe's story which looks at parental guidance and or pressure on child's career or future and it's implication as in Zoe's life.
Thirdly ,we have Reeds story as we see Reeds and Zoe and Reeds thought of their being bound by fate with Reeds as a mechanic fixing rides. This story looks at pressure on the elderly seen as the beginning and origin of bear attacks and natural I'll health making them bound by fate.It looks at mechanic duties and care for the elderly;and women and children (chilled reign as pronounced) reading rather than reeding.
The story also uses the name David as a word description of sex and act of dancing in sexual intercourse.Symon pronounced Simon as a word description of one who is single and yet to find his mate and assists and speaks up for the rest of the shifter pack.
DNF 60%. I just couldn't understand these people's reasoning (at times they seemed TSTL), and the world building made no sense (the little there is of it). The dialogue was stiff, there were a lot of contradictions within the story, missing words all over, and it was just difficult to follow. So I stopped trying.
So, I took my time reading this book. I was fascinated by the title and the cover. The book was a good read. It's not what I expected for a shifter romance but it's a good read.
