4.5 ⭐s This is a story of second chances and a meddlesome sister.

Three years ago without first discussing it with his wife, Ireland,  Liam re-enlisted in the Special Ops Forces. He had told her he'd do 3  years there and then get out of the Army.

Ireland is angry about his decision. They've put their plans for a family on hold for 7 years already. He seems to feel that saving people is more important than her and their future together. And to do it without even mentioning it to her first is just too much. He doesn't seem to care how much  she worries when he's gone on missions for months at a time with only spotty communication while he's gone.

He's only to be home for 2 weeks before he's due back. After only 2 days he's called back and this is the final straw for her. She won't be there if and when he returns.

Ireland files for divorce and leaves the paperwork for Liam to find when he comes home. His sister is so angry that Ireland left without telling anyone, especially her, that she meddles in their lives without their knowledge. She may have just doomed them...

Ireland and Liam’s story is one of love, loss of trust, redemption and reunion. Love was never the root of the problems between Ireland and Liam. When he re-enlisted without first discussing it with her, Ireland was hurt and lost her trust in not only Liam, but also their marriage. His priority was not her and the family she hoped they would have, but rather his team and the people he thought needed his help. Her wants, needs or opinion were not asked for, or even a priority. When his leave was cut short, and he was once again called on a mission, Ireland made her own plans that no longer included her husband or a future family. Interference by someone who lashed out in hurt made a reconciliation between Liam and Ireland nearly impossible.

Three years later, Fate, has brought Liam and Ireland back together again in the place where their love story began. Can Liam convince his wife to give him and their marriage another chance? Will Ireland allow him back into her life now that there is more than just her heart to consider? Read this very engaging story to discover how their story unfolds.

Finding Ireland is a short and steamy, secret pregnancy, second-chance marriage romance. Liam is a soldier. Ireland is his wife. They have been together since they were young and madly in love. The story opens when Liam has returned from the service and was supposed to be done. They share a night of passion, but then he drops the news that he made the choice to reenlist without talking to Ireland. He ships out 2 days later. Ireland is beyond hurt and files for divorce, leaving without a trace. Fast forward 3 years, Liam has retired from the service and is determined to find Ireland. But does she want to be found? What will happen when Liam finds out he has a son? Can Ireland trust him again? Will he put his family first now? It's clear how in love this couple is even when hurting. They have enough chemistry to burn down Dublin. Holy hot🔥 steamy scenes. After some angst, we do get a great HEA. The story and characters just drew me in, making me hope so bad that this couple would reconnect. I loved it!!.

*spoilers* Ireland and Liam are married and in love. But that seems not to be enough, when Liam makes the decision to reinlist without conulting his wife first, she feels like the military will always come first and files for divorce. Three years later Liam learned that the divorce never was finalized and he is searching for his wife. Ireland is not only her name but also they country they fell in love and will see each other again. Liam visits his grandparents and finally finds his wife, who studies hard to become a doctor, but not only her. He also will learn which part his sister played in it all.
The romance and love was very noticeable . The story is captiavting, but somehow I missed some depth to the characters, but still enjoyable.

Sweet, second chance short romance that comes across a bit clichéd and predictable. Sadly, the nature of novellas means a lot of depth and character building gets lost in the word count, Hence, here, in my opinion, we have what could have been a much better story if it hadn't been a short.

And sadly I still can't really believe that Liam would have done what he did without discussing it first if he truly loved his wife, or that she would have given up with just one letter to announce her news, but hey ho, this is fiction! Anyway, for you lovers of true romance you will be less cynical than I and will shed loads of tears at the HAE.

In short, a delightfully angsty story great for an afternoon read.

Solid 3.5 from me!.

This is one of the best books I've read in a while!

It's a book about childhood sweethearts Liam and Ireland. It's beautiful, heartbreaking, sweet, frustrating, hopeful and wholesome in a very special way.

Liam is in the military and have been for a long time, but it's finally time for him to get out, so they finally can make a family and have more time together. When he returns home, he tells her, that he has to go back right away and leaves Ireland behind.
It was especially tough on her and she was completely heartbroken, because she had been waiting for this for a long long time.

She files for a divorce once he's gone, and moves home to Ireland to start over, but the rest isn't for me to spoil!

Liam and Ireland have been great together for a long time, seven of those years married. When he re-ups in Special Forces without telling her first and then leaves two days later, she is devastated. She leaves divorce papers and leaves. Three years later he comes home retired and starts to search for her. Both are back in Ireland, not knowing the other is right there as well. When granda goes to the hospital for heart attack surgery, she is one of the attending interns. Other surprises and events slowly come out and totally change their lives. The storyline is organized but all over the place with feelings and emotions, secrets and revelations. The characters deal with hidden agendas, missing letter, sweet little boy, and a chemistry that never left them. Totally loved the ending.

A short read that cover past, present and future in an entertaining quick story.

Liam and Ireland have a strong love, each made life altering decisions without discussing it with the other. Liam was pretty selfish to think his wife wouldn’t be upset at his actions after he had previously promised something else.

Ireland was hurt and reacted out of pain, and unfortunately Liam’s sister, Rachel compounded those actions with her spitefulness.

I would have preferred Liam do some groveling to express his remorse and understanding of how he had hurt Ireland, but the HEA is satisfying given this is a short novella length read.

Ireland loves her husband a lot and she understands his need to fight for his country. But when he makes an important decision without counting on her, she feels that enough is enough and she disappears without a trace.
Liam loves her wife a lot but his love for his country is very strong too. when he makes a choice on his own, he loses her.
At the beginning of the book, I thought Liam was an irresponsible and selfish man, but when I knew some things that had happened before and nobody knew about them, I changed my mind.
This is a beautiful story with some surprises. It was enjoyable and easy to read.

Liam hurt his wife because he made a major decision about their life with out consulting her. He re-enlisted when the expectation was that he would leave the military. His wife disappears after he ships out and leaves him divorce papers, that he never signs.

Three years have past and he has been searching for his wife. He goes to Ireland to visit with his grandparents. When his grandfather is sick, he finds his wife working at the same hospital. He finds out that he has a son, that she believes he did not want.

Liam has a lot to make up for, can her convince her to give him a second chance?.

Liam stupidly re-enlisted in Special Ops , no discussion with his wife Ireland deal done for another 3 years . To say Ireland is furious , hurt and betrayed is underselling it. When his two weeks leave has to be cut short , two days in , she’s had enough. He can leave? Then so so can she. She leaves divorce papers for Liam to find on his return home….. Rachel his sister does something to endanger their reconciliation that is unforgiveable. Somehow the couple meet in their place at the same time three years later , can they move forward and can Ireland trust her husband’s pleas for redemption…. Great story.

A quick second chance romance about choices, love, betrayal, forgiveness and family.
It's well-written and an easy read. It gives just enough about the characters taking into account that it's a novella.

Liam and Ireland had a once in a lifetime love. Liam also loved fighting for his country and he made a decision to reenlist and didn’t involve Ireland. She was hurt by his decision and gave him an ultimatum. While on deployed divorce papers show up, but Liam doesn’t sign them. Now, three years later, after consulting a lawyer, he is relieved that the divorce isn’t final. Now he just has to go and get his wife back. Will she take him back? Has she moved on? Can Liam convince her that he has changed?

This was a quick read of a second chance love story. I truly enjoy this authors novellas, she does such a wonderful job at writing them. This book has love, betrayal, love loss and finally a second chance at love. I really enjoyed Liam and Ireland's love story. Liam is a good guy whom made a stupid decision that causes him to lose everything that he loves. Ireland is a good wife that will do everything for Liam and their marriage until she feels Liam betrayed her so she does the only thing she feels she can do and leaves. Liam has never given up on their marriage and will do everything to win her back. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.

This was a heartfelt story about how choices can hurt the ones we love. Liam and Ireland/Caragh still loved each other but because of their decisions and interference from others, their road back together was tenuous and trust issues needed to be resolved. An engaging read with characters who had an undeniable connection and chemistry. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
