After surviving an attack by his friend and fellow beta, Tala tries to pick up the pieces of his old life. Things have changed. His body isn’t what it was, and the only light in his darkness is the healer working on him.
Ambitious wolf shifter Caitlin gets the chance to work as a healer for the Ghuardian. While trying to prove her worth, she finds herself falling for one of her patients—something no healer should ever give in to.
As the both of them struggle with their own demons, a war is brewing. Will Tala and Caitlin come together, or will they fall apart?
I'm a paranormal romance author with a love for slowburns and strong female and male leads. Shifters are my love and life and therefore will always be in the books that I write.
That book had a totally different vibe than the first one, it is more sombre and profound as it is focused on healing and how difficult it can be.
Tala is hurt really badly, so much that he has been put in a coma to heal and here comes Caitlin the new pack healer who is determined to do anything to help him and most of all wake up. However, waking will not be the only difficult thing for Tala, discovering that he’s far from his old self will break something inside of him. It’s only with Caitlin's support, comfort that he will be able to heal. Caitlin knows that it’s not good to fall in love with a patient but she cannot prevent herself to feel attracted to this strong shifter who he’s fighting for his survival.
The book is focused on Tala’s healing but the plot is still evolving, they are at war and it’s not pretty ! Good thing they now have a healer.
Now for the rest, Bryan is and will always be my ultimate favourite 😍. Since book 1 I can feel the ultimate tension between Kai and Selene, I would love to have more of Spencer and why not Kyra, I like her. Obviously, Ray and Rajini are still awesome, it was great to see when another way, and poor Ray… And with THAT cliffhanger I definitely want to read the next book.
Be aware of some triggers such as mention of disabilities after healing, suicide attempt.
This book really revived my love for reading. I really loved the new, lovely characters and the way you further immerse into the existing story. The cliffhanger at the end will definitely set me up for reading the next one in this series!
