DNF at 37%. I have a very hard time with short story collections. As soon as I feel like I’m getting my bearings with the characters, plot, etc, it’s prematurely done. But there are some that I do enjoy, but they’re rare. This, unfortunately, despite it’s great concept, had stories that were all 1-2 pages long, and a lot of them seemed to have very similar ideas. I got about a third in and could not focus or find anything that was of interest to me. Others may like collections like this, but it’s just not my style. The writing itself was fine, but that wasn’t enough to keep me with the content. Happy Father’s Day!
