Written in a different time. Everything doesn't hold up well. Not your typical everything perfect in the end romance. Subtle nods to what matters in a relationship. Interesting glance at patriotism through her aunt and uncle's life.

Did return me to memories of my 1st love and for that alone made it worth the read.
