A burnout captain. An obsolete starship. One more mission for both.
Tenacity is the last of the Fenris-class battlecruisers, the “Old Wolf” as her crew calls her. Captain Dath Raker—storied, scarred, and outrageous—gets called worse. But the command’s been his last, best chance to shine, even if it’s just showing the Republic of Sanctuary flag while ferrying a delegation to peace talks.
The Republic’s deadliest rival has no interest in peace. Deranged by centuries in thrall to obscene alien gods, the Golgothan Empire is ready to make their big move. And a meeting of the star-nations is a perfect way to get all their enemies in one place.
The Golgothans’ plan relies on surprise and the rapid collapse of resistance.
They’re about to find out that Tenacity is more than just a name.
Took me a bit to figure out who's crew was ,who's ,lol . But then it took off and never s!owed down until the last page . Characters come to life along with the story . Well written and is everything sci/fi fans like . I hope others enjoy it as much I . Already purchased the next book .
There are dozens of characters just in first chapter
I quit reading. It seemed every few paragraphs was a new name and person. I thought by the second chapter it would get better, but I was wrong. There is no connection to the main characters because there are no main characters.
Excellent character development through out the story. That includes both good and the bad-guy characters. Lots of action that rarely stops before something else comes up.
A pleasantly paced mix of action, emotions, story progression and conveniently clumsy baddies. It's a smooth read with plenty of hooks for follow-up books. Off to book 2.
