If it's from dangerous love making to cold blooded life taking, she is with it. Come along and share a portion of Me'Shellay's world, one that will leave you wanting more...
This is my first book from this author and it was a good read. Me'Shellay "Meesh" was a great character but she definitely made some dumb ass choices. I honestly thought her and Marcus would end up together but my oh my, that was a twist I didn't see coming. Marrying Sanders was one of Meesh's worst decisions. He down right did her wrong and it's not like her character didn't have the paper to take care of herself, so for her to sit there and go through the abuse physically was just stupid. Not only that, he cheated damn near the whole marriage. They say love makes you do stupid things and she proved that saying right. I did however enjoy Kerron's character but when he up and left her with just a phone and nothing else but a few phone calls, I was over him. Central defintiely played his cards right becaue he definitely had me fooled. This story has twists and turns, unexpected surprises, great friendships, steamy scenes and more but there's also a lot that's unfinished and by gosh, I hope Meesh stops opening her legs for every man that shows her a little bit of attention. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
Omg I couldn't put this book down!! One of the best books I've read in a long time. It kept me on edge not knowing what was coming next. Get Job Author! Can't wait for the next part.
I'm late to the party lol but I made it. This is such an emotional book. You'll experience every emotion reading this. I can't wait to see what happens in the sequel. Don't miss out reading this book. 100 stars
This damn book was confusing as hell. I am still trying to figure out the overall purpose of story. Me'Shellay (aka Meesh) experienced a lot of heart aches from a young age...her best friend (almost boyfriend) was gunned down at the park one day and then her mother was hauled off to prison. Meesh was sent to live with her aunt and uncle in California. She ends up getting pregnant but the hospital takes the baby away from her. With nothing else to hold on to, Meesh packs up and returns to the only place she knows as home, Portland.
I am not trying to ruin the story or tell you all about the book (and I have left some things out), but I was hoping if I gave you all the information you would HELP me figure out what the book is about. Anywho, Meesh is now set up in Portland and she meets her neighbor Kerron. They hit off and start kicking it, but somehow he introduces her to one of his friends Sanders. She ends up dating Sanders...I know I know she doing too much right now! And you would think this leads up to some type of love triangle (well she is kind of still seeing both of them) but there is no fighting over her...NOTHING! Then Kerron just up and disappears (leaves her with a cell phone) and she is left with Sanders, and they start their life together.
When I say purpose - let me clarify - you know how when a book reaches its pinnacle and then all the chips start to fall into place and you begin to see the whole puzzle instead of just the pieces. This book was missing that and I sure hope part II brings more insight into what the hell this book is supposed to be about...yes I am still confused. It could have been a great book with a little more thought into where the book was supposed to lead you. Hmmmmm! Maybe we will get it figured out in Part II.
Wow this book was hella crazy to me.I can't believe Me'Shellay Dad just up and left like that.Im glad her mom raised her like she did.Damn seriously her life was messed up.Im pissed at her aunt I wanted to shot her my damn self.I can't believe wat happen to Marcus I wanted to cry about it I hurt for Me'Shellay.I felt bad about the baby too.Kerron was a sweet ass guy.Sanders was stupid and I felt bad for Me'Shellay.Central was sweet at first but wat the hell was all that about. That ending was super cray to me I can't wait to read part two
I bought this book the day it came out and I'm so upset I waited so long to read it!!! I absolutely can't wait for Part 2 because there's so many things I want to see happen and NOT happen. I don't want to say much and ruin the story for other readers but I will say this is a 5 star book worth reading. Shelli Marie, you did a great job with this story and you'll forever have me as a #1 fan cheering you on!!!!!!!
Her relationships are ridiculous. How is she in love with 4 men at one time. 1 who she hadn't seen or heard from in 20 years and 1 who is presumed dead. She keeps talking about how she wants to be reconnected to her son, but she does absolutely nothing to try and find him. Shes childish. Blamed her husband for everything, but never herself. You're pushing 40. Do better with your life. But for some reason I couldn't stop reading.
Meesh has stood the test of time! She has had a hard difficult life, but some how she always find a way to overcome a long list of obstacles! I am looking forward to what happens next with her and Sanders, Kerron and the search for him son! Not to mention Marcus!!! I am hopeful that Meesh will one day finally find the true love that her heart longs for....
This story took me on an emotional roller coaster ride from the beginning. As soon as things started looking up for Meesh it took a turn for the worse. I'm looking forward to seeing how her story develops. Will definitely recommend this book.
Whew Meesh had to go through a lot and I hope she get to be with Kerron again before they get to up in age. Also her son deserves to know her, hopefully he want be bitter and mean bc she wasn't there for him.
