The second book in the Grace series picks up exactly where the first book leaves off and I think that is great. I've read a lot of series novels that I have to reread the book before it because I forgot what happened and where it ended but this one doesnt disappoint when it comes to that. Actually it doesnt disappoint at all. It is just as good as the first book with a little bit of thrill added to it. The ending is completely shocking and once again this author leaves you drooling for the next book. I cant wait for the third book to come out.
I can't decide if I like this book better than the first because:
1. I was familiar with the character Grace and it started right where the first book left off. Like I catching up with an old friend. OR 2. Because it held my interest with serious drama and excitement, of which I never expected.
I think it's both. That's what makes this book a great read. Yes, I enjoyed the first book. But, by the time I started read this second book in the series, Grace had become my friend. I wanted to know what was happening to her and felt her happiness, sadness and pain. I thought I knew what to expect, but there were surprises. Both the characters and story kept me interested.
Reading the last page reminded me of watching a season finale of my favorite tv show. Thinking "oh WOW", with that pang of "when will I see you again" sadness mixed with anticipation of "What's next?, I can't wait". For that alone I give it five stars. Congrats Marisa!
Marisa Oldham has done it again! This is book 2, and I do recommend reading The Falling of Love first. I was crying and yelling and oh, the emotional rollercoaster this book takes you on, is amazing. This book flows effortlessly from book 1. The writing, oh, the writing is beautiful and heart wrenching. I don't know where she gets her ideas from, but this book is from the heart and soul of Marisa Oldham. The character development is flawlessly executed. The dialogue is so realistic that you are actually a part of this book. This is a must read for everyone. What an amazing talent! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Marisa, I can't wait for the next book you write. A gifted storyteller! Please read this one, you won't regret one second of it.
Have a box of tissues ready. Such an amazing story that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, cried, got angry (even yelled at my kindle), and held my breath at moments. Marisa Oldham is such an amazing writer. She completely tore my heart out at times. This is the second book in the Falling series and it completely surpassed my every expectation. Grace’s story is heartfelt and heart wrenching, full of love and heart break. She truly has to pick herself up and learn to live again. Question is how many times can one person pick herself back up again before they completely break? I can’t wait until the next book to see what happens.
This book was absolutely fantastic! It picks up right where The Falling Of Love Left off and flows flawlessly into the continuation of Graces story. Grace and Ian's Relationship is the most amazing and chaotic relationship i have ever had the pleasure of reading and it shines as bright as the north star in this book. They have always been to me, the perfect couple. There love has always been raw and true.
Marisa Oldham has a way of reaching into your chest, ripping your heart out, and leaving you begging for more. If you haven't falling into the mayhem that is The Falling Series, then you are definitely missing out on one of the best and heart wrenching stories you will ever read.
Book #2 in the Fallen Series, brings us back to Grace, 5 yrs down the road. She has moved on with her life, living in Paris again with her sister. She has mostly gotten over Ian. However, do you ever really get over your first love?
Grace is going through school and modeling, living in Paris has really turned her life around.
We see her with another man, but, of course they don't last because he's not Ian. She travels back to California. She goes into a downward spiral. She can't keep doing this to herself we the readers think. However, she has gotten up once again and tries to move on with her life.
The Falling of Grace shows you how vulnerable love can make Grace. Though she's a beautiful successful woman who has everything she wants, her heart is still empty. Her love for Ian continues to haunt her...maybe even lead her down a path that's all wrong for her. I couldn't help, but hurt for her and hope she figure her heart out when I read this book. I rooted for her the entire time until the end. Will the next man in her life give her that happiness that she desperately seeks? You'll have to read The Falling of Hope to find out:)
I couldn't even begin to tell you what this book has done to me. It seriously broke my heart then patched it back together with promises to be gentle only to break it again. The author's writing style is so lovely, especially when describing the thoughts and feelings of her characters. I truly feel like this series is just going to keep getting better and better and I can't wait for the third one to come out.
“The Falling of Grace” didn't let me down. It was an excellent read and every page had me hankering for more. It’s a love story that will truly keep you on the edge of your seat as each chapter proceeds along.
I enjoyed this book more than the first, the characters are more developed as they are getting older and it's in the adult world too. Grace and Ian's relationship takes on more depth but their problems seem to grow with it. What starts as an idyllic relationship becomes something toxic. Broken hearts and broken lives abound. But friendships change with the course of time and new bonds are forged. Looking forward to book 3 now.

In the title, it says...The Falling. I think that is the perfect way to describe this book. We as the readers, are continuing to fall in love with this series!! I am falling more and more in love with Grace's story. Book 1 grabbed me from the beginning and never let me go. I am continuing to be captured by the events that took place in book 2! Once again, I went through so many different emotions when it came to Grace's life. There were times I laughed...there were times I got teary eyed, and then, there were times that got me so frustrated that I just wanted to yell.
It has been about 5 years; Ian is home and they finally get back to the love that they once shared. At first, Grace was reluctant to forgive him, but deep down she knew she was still in love with him and she knew that she would always be in love with him. Their relationship was just as loving the second time around; maybe even stronger. Both Ian and Grace have grown up and have learned so much from their past mistakes. They now know not to take the other for granted and to make the most out of what they have. At first, I thought they moved pretty fast, but I guess when it's right.... it's right.
"I love you so much, Gracie. I know this is all going so fast, but it just feels right. We feel right."
"That's because we are right. From the moment you walked into my math class, the moment I looked into your crystal blue eyes, I knew you were the one."
There were so many twist and turns that took place in this story that I want to talk about, but I can't because I don't want to give anything away. What I will leave you with is.....the ending. Well, let's just say that my heart was beating so hard, and that I had this nervous energy take over my whole body. I just can't believe the way it ended! I did not see that coming, and I have no idea how I feel about it either! I can't decide if it was for the right reasons on "his" part. I almost feel like there is more to "him" than we are aware of. I don't know. I just have this feeling that something is not right. I hope for Grace's sake that I am totally wrong, but I can't wait to find out! I am definitely looking forward to reading what will come next!

This is the second book of the series and answers a lot of questions that I had in the first book. I really enjoyed this story and found the author did a wonderful job with continuing the story. I really enjoyed this story and it has left me hanging to find out more in this series.
This is not a stand-alone, so be sure and read The Falling of Love (TFOL) first. Then grab a box of tissue's to have at your side while you read.
The Falling of Grace (TFOG) picks up where (TFOL)ends, with Ian showing up at Grace & Michelle's table at a café in Paris, 5 years after she has last had any contact with him.
Grace & Ian finally talk and understand one another. Grace is ready to let Ian back into her heart, even though he never left it. Grace feels as though she can finally love him once again.
However, we are thrown for yet another loop and another heart ache.
Grace takes a downward spiral herself of drinking, and sleeping with strangers. Grace does learn her lesson although a very hard lesson.
Grace goes back to Oceanside, OR, and lives with her brother & his family for a while. Grace throws herself into her paintings. She works through her destructive and her pain. Grace's sister in law, Sara takes her to a new local art gallery to see about selling her work here in the states. Grace meets the gallery owner, Ben. There is instant attractiveness between Grace & Ben. Grace doesn't trust her heart and keeps Ben at an arm's length. Grace & Jaden still have a great friendship. Jaden is unsure of Ben.
Will Grace get over Ian finally and move on with Ben? Will Ben be her true love after all her heart ache?
Can't wait for the next book in the series to see what happens!
Wow!! this book took me right in with the emotions of what was going on. I thought it was great that Grace picked up the pieces of her heart (or so she thought) & had everything going for her in Paris. Of course as you find out, your past always seems to catch up with you. I thought it was finally going to be a HEA, but with another upset it wasn't meant to be. Grace made an awful mistake that almost cost her her life. But re-finding herself & doing what she does best. she finds exactly what or should I say who shows her she can fall in love again. I'm a bit weary of Ben, but I love that he kept pursuing Grace. Even if after he rushed things, he treats her like the princess she deserves to be treated like. For Ian, he can't seem to catch a break. I feel for him & wish Grace would stop running from him. The drugs & drinking is a horrible addiction for him & he messes up big time when he gets to another low. Jaden, is a great friend even if he has kept a certain truth for him. I was hoping that would go further. Michelle is still the awesome lil sis who takes great photography in Paris.
I love Grace and Ian - the storyline hooks you in, feeling everything that they go through. This picks up after Book One. There are definitely some moment when you think did they just do that. You see Ian and Grace work though thing and try to work out their relationship with everything that has happened. Grace is speechless seeing Ian at the coffee shop, but that soon turn to anger when she also learns that Jayden knew where Ian was the whole time, and denied it . Ian is persistent in getting Grace to listen to him explaining that he wants her forever but needs to return to pack up his house. Grace can’t wait for Ian to return to Paris and decides to go to him, when she reaches his home she is speechless and ends up at Jayden’s. Grace starts to go off the rails going out every night and ends up with Jayden and her sister having to pick her up from hospital. Ian is still searching for Grace in Paris, while Grace is in the states and turns to painting and meets a very attractive Gallery owner who is persistent about dating her. The ending finishes with a twist and can’t wait to read the next book.
I read the first book in the series and although I'm not a huge young adult fan I still made my way through that book. I was excited to read this in because they were going to be older and I had no clue it was going to happen.
This review has to be another one of those short and sweet ones so that I don't give too much of the first block away. I really enjoyed seeing the characters grow up from the first book while reading this book. I was able to connect more with them and I love seeing where their journey went.
There was more drama and heartbreak, more revelations and so much more while reading this book. It was a cluster of emotions that it's really hard to put into words without spoiling important factors.
Overall, I felt that Grace still had a lot of growing up to do because of how easily she let Ian back into her life after everything that has went on, then the drama comes and everything changes again. There were some twists and turns and I definitely did not see coming and I really enjoyed them. I look forward to seeing what is going to happen I'm assuming in another book. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Decisions that eventually put her life in danger. Will Grace be able to find happiness in life again? Or will she sink into a bottomless pit of despair? - I received an arc for an honest review.
Marisa Oldham has done it again! The Falling of Grace is the second book in The Falling Series and it's just as amazing as the first book. The story picks up right where the first book ended, which I loved. Ian is back and wants to talk to Grace about what happened to him all those years ago and seeks her forgiveness. Will Grace listen to what he has to say? This book was an emotional roller coaster. You will go from saying "AWW!" to "OMG!!!" to "Oh No!!" and back again. You will see a lot of growth with your favorite characters but you will also see some hit the lowest of lows. You might even find a new book boyfriend lol. I was sucked in from the first page and didn't want to put it down. Marisa Oldham does an amazing job making you feel physical emotions with this book. I laughed, I cried and I had my heart shattered. This book will leave you with a book hangover that will take time to recover from. You will absolutely love it. I can't recommend this book enough.

The Falling of Grace takes off right where The Falling of Love left off. I absolutely LOVED this book! Usually I don't enjoy the second book the series as must as I enjoyed the first but that wasn't the case with this series. I am a really big fan of Grace and Ian's relationship so it was nice to be able to see them together in their adult lives when they had matured. I was rooting for them throughout the whole book and then I was hit with a curveball I didn't see coming which broke my heart for Grace and Ian's relationship. Just when I thought that they could finally be happy something just had to ruin it! And then that ending... WHOA! Way to break my heart Marisa! I can't wait to see what happens next.. patiently waiting for the next book.
My heart is seriously heartbroken after reading this book!! I was on a huge emotional roller coaster then entire time while reading! A box of tissues is defiantly needed while reading this book. This book isn't a standalone so make you pick up the first one before starting this one.
The Falling of Grace flowed really well after the ending of The Falling of Love. It's about Grace moving on in life but then having to deal with the past when Ian comes walking back into her life. She thought she was finally going to get her happy ending but than everything goes sideways. This book is filled with both love and heartbreak all the way through it.
And then there's the ending of this book! OMG I didn't think my heart could break anymore but it just shattered into even more pieces! I'm really looking to The Falling of Hope to see how everything turns out in the end.
This Book Right Here!!!!! Ugh, Not sure how to put into words how AMAZING this book is. I have written this review 5 times and erased it over and over again. This book literally puts you on a rollercoaster ride with your emotions, to the point it's almost sickening how lost you become in the story. How do you react when your past comes knocking at your door? The past that completely destroyed and broken you? The past that you spent the last 5 years overcoming and moving on from? The past that was the love of your life? The past that comes with a secret that can be even more devastating that you could imagine? I would give this book a thousand stars if I was able to. I definitely think this is a book the best of 2015 so far. Well done Marisa, well done!!!
Another emotional rollercoaster story from The Falling series. The Falling of Grace is so great that I smile, cried and hope things will happen my way but alas the very unpredictable Marisa's way of storytelling still wins.
I feel for Grace. Moving on is really hard but yet sometimes fate really plays that will make your past and present collide. What will you do? Will you play along or will you deny it? Ugghh.. It's hard to decide right?! When I thought a feeling of calmness will happen then comes another wave of emotions coming my way. Gah! I was shocked and still can't believe what I read.
I really recommend this book! If you want to feel a lot of emotions in one seating this should be the book you should read!

When I left Ian and Grace they were at a cafe in Paris. I waited (not very patiently) too find out what happened. Could the love they once shared be enough to help them find a way back to one another?
I was excited to see some of my favorite characters again, and even happier to see some of them redeemed. Marisa has such n amazing talent foe giving us characters that draw us in and create instant connections with. Myself.....I am #teamIan.I haven't met one of Marisa's characters that I didn't either like or hate...no gray area for me.
I cannot wait for the next installment of this series!!!!
Ian and Grace continue...or end...their love story in this second book of the Falling series!! So much love, so much promise ...and then in one instance it all changes!! Ian is trapped in . a relationship he does not want, and Grace is trapped within her anger and her broken trusts and thousands of lies! Again, Marisa's writings do not disappoint! I have laughed with these characters, mourned with and for these characters, and even gotten mad at these characters when they made stupid choices! Although the ending of the book finds us watching Grace marrying another...I still hold out hope that love conquers all!!! This book exceeded my expectations and is a must read sequel! Absolute perfection Marisa!! Now bring on book 3!!
After reading book one (The Falling of Love) I had to pick this book up right away. I had to know what happened next. This book will take you on a roller coaster of emotions as you continue to follow Grace's story. It is full of twists and turns that will make you keep wanting more. Will Grace finally find love? Will she make the right decisions? When things get really bad, who will step in to comfort her? These are just a few of the questions you will ask yourself. This book is a must read. I am anxiously waiting for book three so I can finish Grace's story. I just can't get enough of this book and the series. There are not enough words to express my love for the book and how amazing I think the author truly is.
