She teaches first-year composition and courses in writing and rhetoric at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research interests include style, discourse analysis, authorship, and classroom writing assessment. Her article, "Style and the Pedagogy of Response," in the journal Rhetoric Review, explores the intersections of these interests.

The Centrality of Style is a collection of essays focused on achieving style in writing. It's pertinent for both writers and teachers of writing.

Three Stars: Not bad, but not fantastic either. I'll still recommend it, if I think that person might like it more than me.
