Pleasing novel set in Canada in the late 70s and early 80s about 2 guys who meet, form a connection and are forced apart by fear and prejudice. A sequel is due, or possibly around depending on when you read this, and the reader is certainly left up in the air. A good look at the lives of gay men in the 70s who don't live in New York or London, although some of the characterization (especially the more unlikeable characters) is a little weak. Makes me think that the author must be a nice guy who finds it hard to see bad in others.
