When I read this book, and especially the last few in the Short, Provocative Erotica series it has been like a voyeuristic dream and I'm floating pleasantly through, above the characters, and just enjoying the view and atmosphere. It is a feeling pleasantly unique to this series and very prevalent in this new addition as well. Our characters meet and the slow, seductive consummation of their sexual encounter will leave you floating blissfully beside them as he claims what is his and as she submits, all encompassing, to his will. The sex is divine and sultry and the dream state quality of the authors words will make you wish you were asleep and waking up was a far away option so you had more time to play. Read this for Erotica that engages all your senses.
After a long hard day there's nothing like a long hot bath. An Elizabeth Woodham story is just that: a dip into the scolding erotic world of lovers exploring the depth of their passion. Lazuline - it's a shade of blue for the uninitiated - is no exception and, on finishing this tale I am ready to powder, perfume and go out in search of promises.
I do not know how Elizabeth Woodham does it. But she masters her words in the most intense, expressive and artistic way I've ever read. It's like an erotic word dance that tickles your senses and leaves you wanting more. Actually, that's exactly how it is. Any erotic fans out there looking for a new experience will without a doubt enjoy Lazuline :)
From the gorgeous cover image and that mysterious, evocative title to the sensual language I am once again in awe at Ms. Woodham's talented wordsmithery . This short, erotic tale dazzles with the clarity and sharpness of a brilliant mosaic. The language is sumptuous, the mix of poetry and prose intoxicating.
"the black buttons of her suspenders juxtapose the pale inch or two of skin, a precursor to her stocking tops, stark white and black, a sly negative of desire,"
Perfect. The plot is simple but elegant. Lovers reunite, love unites, sex engulfs. It's all in the way the language flows, motifs swirl and the blood races as the story and protagonists reach a climax. As always with this author, the journey is not a simple one and you will read and re-read in order to extract and savor every word and turn of phrase. Let this mistress of Erotica weave her spell binding web about you.
The sun is shining, I'm relaxing kindle in hand, perfect for some erotica by Elizabeth Woodham. I find myself being repetitive when writing some reviews, and i find it hard to express how gorgeous these short erotic stories are, I don't do this story any justice as my vocabulary is just too limited. But saying that Lazuline has to be my favourite read so far by this intelligent author. Stunning erotica, every word spoken is poetic and ties together deliciously. His words, her thoughts, feelings, need, the lust, made my stomach quiver the anticipation of it all. I felt like I could smell leather, feel soft skin, hear whispered words. 'sigh' Very pretty cover too!
You do not read Lazuline like the average short erotica. Oh no, there are way too many layers to discover. It is a short piece, yes, but after I finished I had to reread to see if I could make sense of the ending. The second time through, I'd created my own interpretation of the couple's relationship. This is a deep love affair, one full of mystery and passion. Their unique love lingers like a fragrance even after the pages close.
