After she claims to be a witch, he knows she is truly crazy. But there is something magical about the woman, and he isn’t the only one who has noticed her strange powers. There are fans of Caryn's out there that are giving "HONEST, PERSONAL OPINION Reviews" a hard time. But, a Strong Author appreciates ALL reviews. Good and Bad. I know this for a fact!!! With that said: I'm sorry, but I could not finish it. I got about 25% into the book and had to quit. So, in all reality I can't give a full review at this time. HOWEVER, I am going to say this much: The story "seems" to be good, but the writing is so weak. I can tell that Caryn is passionate about her writing and what she "tries" to get across, but it just falls too short. The delivery is weak in itself as well. I am NOT trying to be rude in any way, but the best way for me to describe this is: It's just lacking in grammatical filler. I am not one for a lot of nonsense filler but this book doesn't have character in it. I am sorry to say that unless you don't have anything else to read, then get this. I STILL think the stories that Caryn write can be REALLY good! My suggestion would be for her to get an Editor. (I know it is hard to find one that will except an Author, but with the fan base that I know Caryn has, (Because believe it or not, I am a fan too!), I don't see that it would be too hard for her to get one.)
I will try to finish this book, but it will have to be when I have the time to "over look" the short comings in the writing.
I really enjoyed this book. This is the first book I have read by this author but I will be reading more. The characters are interesting and very likeable. Meadow Seymour doesn't make much of an impression on our hero when they meet but he just can;t seem to stay away. She has a store called Magic Herbs and runs around with different colored hair and crazy clothes. Now for a serious Siberian Lycan this is kind of confusing. Especially when he finds out she is his mate. Can Brencis keep Meadow safe from danger? Can he keep himself safe from her accidently poisoning him lol??? There are other books to this series. I recommend you read them all. Sart at #1. I was lucky enough to win this one but I will be buying some more.
I loved this book, Brencis & Meadow's story! It is a fantastic addition to the series and I'm really looking forward to Valerii & Joe's(Josephine) story!
Bren and Meadows story was pretty good. However I feel it could of been a lot better and more detailed. In fact these characters alone could make a spin off series.
Brencis goes to a local herbal/magic shop weekly for a special tea for the Alphas wife. Meadow is the cashier/owner & always strikes him as odd. who has purple hair & wears a tutu & fairy wings? Meadow feels Brencis is sad so she slips him a love potion....which accidentially poisons him!! and triggers the heartmate bond with him...can he accept such an odd mate? The only thing that bothered me was ALL the new witch info thati felt wasnt really addressed. But i went on her website & looks like this novel leads/connects to a new series.y
Cute little story about a beta werewolf that meets his mate - a witch.
Dialogue is pretty stiff and sentences are short and clipped.
Not as good as book 3 which I really liked. I will still read the next one, but the author needs an editor or maybe an English teacher buddy to help with the stiff dialogue. This would have been a much better book with just a little more work, but I still liked it - and I like this series.
Another incredible book to a wonderful series!!! I enjoy reading about shifters, add in it taking place in Europe and excitement of saving mates you never want to put the book down!!!! I can't wait for the next book to come out!!
I like this book but not loved it. All the stories so far have left me thinking that something is messing but I like then enough to had read all in the series so far.
