Trust is the key....in this book demon Kobe has to EARN Zion's trust. Long before they have sex and confirm that they are in fact mates, Kobe wants Zion for his own. He is willing to do whatever it takes to make Zion comfortable even at his own expense.

Certainly waited LONG enough to get to the next stage of the game in this series, I almost felt like re-reading Panahasi again just to refresh 'current' events. While it's nice to spread out, seems like this world is getting spread too thin at times to keep the momentum going. I hope we won't have another year before the next installment..

Sigh. I just don’t get why these people often do not inform the small men they are protecting of the danger they’re in. Seems to me they’d be more likely to be cautious then. Luckily Zion sees right through it, sparing me the frustration.

This book was definitely a good one.
The romance is sweet, actually taking its time and remaining separate from the usual mate dynamics, and the villain has an interesting motivation, leading to a conclusion that’s just different enough to elevate it from the painfully overused.

Of course it helps if you can switch off that part of your brain that takes note of something like writing style.

Only, why do those Demon Warriors books have to end on a downer more often than not? Ah well, it’s been much worse before.

In the end, I’m pretty satisfied with this one.

Gypped is not an okay word to use. It's racist. Gypsies are an ethnic group.

A migraine is more than a bad headache.

She named the one black character Kobe? Really? And he of course listens to rap. I mean sure it's likely in the real world but he's a demon from demon realms, the worst, the equivalent of the ghetto. Of course. And then what's up with naming a demon Zion?

I like how Zion is very protective of his things. It's realistic.

The good thing about needing sex to find your mate is that if you fall in love with someone else, you can choose to remain monogamous and never find your mate.

Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each):
Brac Pack
Christian's Coven
Zeus's Pack
Demon Warriors
The Exiled

These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.

One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order):
Brac Village
Shadow Tribe
BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids)
The Remus Brothers
Wolves of Desire

I enjoyed this book just as much as I did with the previous books. I liked Kobe and appreciated his need to save Zion (the little demon who helped him escape from Remtin). As always, it held my attention while wanting them to realize that they're true mates already, which took quite a while in this story. The writing was excellent and the characters were totally unique, and I can't stop coming back for more. I am wondering though, what ever happened to DeAndre? I was looking forward to his story, but still, this was fantastic. =)

This was a really good addition to the Demon Warriors series. I really liked both of the MCs. Especially Zion. I thought he really came into his own by the end of the story. All in all, an enjoyable read.

I don't like when the MC's life was so fucked up and had shitty life like Zion. He was being used, treated like a fuck toy in order to survive and that changed when Kobe came to his life.

Pre Read Thoughts:

I had to wait to read this one b/c I wanted to read all the books in the Brac Universe in the correct reading order. But I'm FINALLY ready to read Kobe now and I can't wait b/c I have been anxious to find out what happened to Zion.

Post Read Thoughts: I liked this one. Zion is sweet but he's not meek and he has a core of steel to him that I really like. Kobe is trying to put himself back together and deal with a painful past. They both have broken places but somehow they manage to smooth one another's rough edges and come together and fight to have a better future than they do pasts.

Finding out about Kobe and the extent of his power-or potential power-was really interesting and I can't help but wonder how that's going to play out in later books. I enjoyed the pacing of this and how patient and giving and protective-without being insulting or overbearing-Kobe was with Zion. They both definitely won my heart in this one.

I could have done w/out a couple of the side plots and I'm BEYOND tired of Marino but all in all this book was a winner for me.

Thoughts While Reading:

I have written before that I have this love/hate relationship with Lynn Hagen books and series'. I love to love them andI love to hate some. I get frustrated over some plots, some characters, some situations, even the crying of the constant mine drives me insane for some reason. However, just like any Lynn Hagen addict (OMG! I just revealed I am an addict!) I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment of whatever series she releases for the moment.

I don't know, but for some reason I just love this series. It constantly changes, it is fluid, its plots are different and evolve, and to top it off, demons they may be, but they are both mean and sweet. For Kobe, I did not relate all that well with him. I don't know, he just grated on my nerves. I have a completely different response with regards to Zion though. He just became my favorite character of all of the Demon Warriors Series characters.

There was one scene where Zion was clutching at this Fresh Linen scented candle that Kobe had given him. Of all the things he could have offered him, he chose this one simple object. I don't blame him, I love this scent too and have several scattered around the house. Maybe this is the reason why Zion just stuck with me.

Kobe had his moments, too, don't get me wrong. He grated on my nerves as I said earlier, but there was this one scene that made up for all of his shortcomings. He did not shout or scream or make a public fool of himself by shouting mine, instead, he just said it softly and sweetly and ooooh, überromantic. I just fell for that scene. That scene alone made it up for Kobe.

When I was reading Zion (I read this twice, focusing on Zion all the time), the scene with him protecting his candle just kept haunting me and I recalled this ad I had seen. I found it and I couldn't help but post.Although this is not exactly the same, you get the drift.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...

This his book #6 of the Demon Warriors series that continues the story with Kobe, the youngest of the Warriors and Zion who sacrificed himself to ensure safe passage out of Remtin. Kobe can’t stop thinking about the young demon who risked himself to get him and his fellow warriors out of Remtin and decides to go back for Zion. Zion couldn’t stop thinking about Kobe as well and was surprised when he sees that Kobe came back for him. Both Zion and Kobe come from similar backgrounds. Both were born and raised in Remtin, a brutal underworld filled with criminals. Panahasi rescued Kobe (as well as the other Warriors) centuries ago and trained them to be Warriors, protectors of Serenity City. The Demon Warriors are the police of Serenity City, a city completely different from Remtin. Kobe is completely enamoured with Zion but decides to take it slow; he knows that Zion does not trust easily on account of his brutal upbringing. Zion is enamoured with Kobe, but feels that he is unworthy of love. His self esteem and self worth are virtually non-existent. Both of these demons have travelled a long and hard road to hapiness which makes the HEA ending that much sweeter. This story flows well, despite the time between the last Warrior book and this one. I absolutely love Lynn Hagen’s series. The way that she ties them all together is fantastic. As always, this book is not a standalone read. It is recommended that these books are read in sequential order as the characters cross over between the series. I definitely recommend her series.

Typical demon warriors book. . but there was one thing that I liked abt this book. One thing made it unique. ..it explored the concept of a Bad Mating. What happens if your mate happens to be a sadistic psychopath? What happens if your happy ever after is a nightmare? Kobe parents had this type of mating and it nearly destroyed him.
I've always wondered about that do it was nice to finally have it addressed.

In my re-read I did NOT read Panahasi's book because I think he deserves better than Drake and Casey. What is it with the leaders/alphas having shitty mates?

Sweet sweet Zion.

Kobe and Zion. Zion dancing and cooking :) Kobe is just too sweet. Zion and his candle. I forgot how much I liked these two.

Kobe and Zion

This is the sixth book in the demon series. In this book you get to learn about Kobe and his life. The book has the usual drama, laughs and tears. As always I recommend you read the previous books in the series so the back stories make sense.
