A Valentino Reunion

Rate this book
When life throws you a grenade, you take cover, wait for detonation, and evaluate the ensuant damage. In this life, the one we live, those grenades never stop coming. But no matter the destruction in our midst, there is one thing that will never crack or shatter.

And that’s our loyalty, love, and faith. To each other. To the family. A Valentino by blood or marriage, we are united as one, reigning over the kingdom our fathers and forefathers built for us.

We’re born to fight. We thrive on it. Some of us even thirst for it. The fight we’re about to embark on now, though, is different. Because we’re not fighting a grenade this time. No, we have the whole f***ing rocket headed our way.

Can our family come together and beat the odds stacked up against us? Or will this be the very thing that has our empire crumbling?

A Valentino Reunion will see the entire family come together, work together, and fight together. This book contains multiple POVs from different members of the Valentino family.

Family holiday/reunion

Warning first that this book is a tear jerker.
Catching up with the Valentino family, T and Holly and their full brood of offspring.
@kylie kent you made me cry, I've lived with a family member the same way and you have got it all spot on well done, brilliant writing this book really did give me all the feels, every emotion under the sun I've gone through with this book. If you are a fan of Kylie's writing then you know your in for a treat, if you haven't read any of her books I would highly recommend picking one up and giving this author a try, she really does grab you straight into a story. Loved it.

Im gonna say I was nervous about reading this book because it's an end of an era, and them books are hard for me to process, but this one was just wow. I was laughing one minute, crying the next, nervous all the way through, just waiting for that other shoe to drop as they say. Kylie out did herself on this book, and I am happy with the final outcome because, as she liles to say,'It could have been way worse'. If you haven't read Kylies books yet, then what are you waiting for? Go read them. I highly recommend all of her books 💯

Unfortunately for me this book is just not great like I expected it to be. There’s so many annoying things that just ain’t right for me. But also there’s funny and romantic things that i really adored but just not quite to make me want to put five stars… Which is disappointing. Cause this book is about the future of the Valentino Family where all the kids are grown up now, so i have high expectations 😆

The things or scenes that I don’t like from this book (this is just for me and may be different than yours):
1. Remember Unhinged Desires? Dominic and Lucy love story? One of their oldest daughter are in a relationship with Mateo and Savannah oldest son. At first i thought it was so romantic! But then i found out that the hero aka the son has fall in love and have a big crush on the heroine aka the daughter FOR A LONG TIME SINCE CHILDREN (Cause now their age is 18/19 years old) BUT IN THE BEGINNING HE NEVER EVER MADE THE FIRST MOVE TO THE HEROINE… SO WHAT DID HE DO? HE FVCKS MANY WOMAN IN NEW YORK WHILE THE HEROINE IN AUSTRALIA BEING A VIRGIN… So totally a manwhor3 🥵 I can’t stand love story like that in a book and even in real life… Claiming to love so much but before he got serious with the heroine, he have to fvck someone else and many woman? Nah. Tragic. Disgusting 💀
2. One of the heroes named Romeo, his only son likes a girl that to him is very special. But romeo the dad thinks it’s bad for his son to likes some girl like that in his young age (cause the boy is 16 or 18 years old like that). And he proudly say that the boy has to be a manwhor3 than be loyal to one woman in a young age💀 like what??? What kind of father are you💀 Romeo in that age was such a manwhor3 himself but doesn’t mean that his son have to be like that too especially that is a bad example, not a good one🥵 “Right? He’s sixteen. He should be fucking around, not stuck on one girl,” Romeo says.” romeo has become a mayor but with a dumb mindset 🙄
3. I wish the story will be like some big enemy is coming to hit the family or tries to destroy the family then the family will stepping in. And fight together y’know… Cause IT’S A BIG MAFIA FAMILY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD😓 LIKE MAKE IT FUN AND EXCITING!!! BUT NOOOO…. Instead it’s full of anxiety, worry, unnecessary childish drama and stupid boys with stupid fathers. Not all fathers heroes are stupid here but most of them are💀 Which is exhausting to see… Cause they’re not wiser 💀💀 It’s like watching the kardashian arguing about stupid small things 😒😒

Most of the story is actually fun to read. And funny scenes too. Hilarious! to see the next generation of Valentino characters with their own personalities is really fun to read 😍😍 Some of them are stupid tho which is odd cause some of them already in the age above 20’s. My favorite characters here are only Theo which is the grandfather, Neo, Luca, Aurora and sweet tilly. Tilly is the daughter of Romeo and Livvy, the sweetest one ever and so close to her grandfather theo. So adorable moment of them 🥺❤️ Oh yeah and many adorable sweet family moments too! So some of the stars is for that moments and romantic moments especially with theo the grandfather will do anything to his wife ❤️❤️❤️

I cannot even begin to explain how much I loved this book!!!! For all of you Valentino followers, this one is a must read!
This book has multiple POV's. T, Holly, Theo, Matteo, Romeo, Luca, and Lorenzo (Savvy and Matteo's son). Having this many insights to the story added so much to all that was happening.
We are also introduced to all of the grandchildren! Let me just say that this 3rd generation makes their dads look like saints!!! Aurora is Izzy 2.0....maybe even "better"!
The story revolves around Holly's desire to spend a month long holiday in Italy. She insists that all of the family be there including Riley and Bray and their extended family!
This story had me laughing one minute and reaching for the tissues the next. The love of twin siblings is a beautiful thing that most do not understand. To see the love that has developed ad grown between all of these characters is so heartwarming! That love is stronger than anything in the world. Their love makes anything possible.
Have no fear...Dominic McKinley is also part of this amazing book! Let's just say that he is not happy to become "part" of the Valentino Family ;)
As with all of Kylie's books, I always want more and I have a feeling we will be getting to see this 3rd generation sooner than we think!
I highly recommend this book but strongly encourage you to read the previous books first!

I knew that I was going to need more of this family, and this was the perfect full circle. We get to witness T and Holly along with their 4 sons and now their grandchildren take a vacation. No one knows what is bringing on this sudden call for everyone to rearrange their schedules, but when their mom and Nonna say make it happen they all do. Here is what I will say so as to not give anything away, if you have read the Valentino books you are well aware of what the Family does. But now we see them all grown up with children of their own that are all grown in their own right. Kylie has us follow along with each son as we learn that they are doing and exactly all the things their children are getting into. I mean the apple doesn’t fall from the tree for some of them and it is kind of funny watching everyone try to make things right. Through some of the laughter, we get some tears and a few moments where you have to take a deep breathe. Though, personally, I had some big tears pouring down my face learning of something that affects one of the family members. Just know that I loved every single second of this book and am so glad that I was able to read it on release day.

The End of an Era

This was such a fun way to close the door on the first and second generations of Valentinos. There was a lot going on and a lot of different perspectives. I found myself struggling to remember who each of the third generation belonged to at first, but once I got into the story it did become easier.

I loved getting to know more about the third generation of Valentinos. They are even more wild than the second generation! Aurora was so funny and definitely the third generation’s Izzy. I hope she’ll get her own book in the future. I loved the added storyline of Lorenzo and Kyla McKinley. It brought just enough new into a book reminiscing about past series to keep it fresh.

I loved the way so many series were intertwined in this book. It was fun to be reminded that all these families were so connected. As sad as the ending was, I thought it was the perfect way to close this chapter out. There is definitely room for Kylie to come back and add more stories involving the Valentinos, and I loved the way she left that door open.

The perfect ending…or is it?!

This was an epic reunion of sorts! I absolutely LOVE the Valentino Family. Now I love them even more with the kids! Aurora…enough said🤣!!

This book was filled with all kinds of emotions…never a dull moment for sure! The scene with Holly and Reilly got me good🥺. I hope to see more of their relationship in possible future books. But I don’t want to read a sad outcome😢.

The way T and his boys love their wives and children is 🥰.

Now I hope we get more books in the future, especially Aurora!! She’s a menace and I’m all for it!! There was a lot going on in this reunion, but it was a good read! Kylie Kent nailed it and I can’t wait for more books with this family!!!

You can never have too many Valentinos in one novella. This story has them all. When Holly wants a family holiday to spend time with everyone she wasn't quite anticipating the mayhem that would ensue. The Valentinos don't so anything by halves.

Reunion gives us closure on the older generation of Valentinos while introducing the next gen and all the trouble they will be getting themselves into. I loved seeing the 3 generations together and seeing multiple POVs.

This is fun read with some steamy quickies thrown in for good measure (there are too many Valentino kids for long drawn out sex scenes 😜). Loved every page and I'm glad this won't be the last we see of this troublesome but addictive family.

This book felt like coming home after a long vacation... The heart is always at the centre of this family and my heart was put through the ringer with this book (in the best possible way).

The Valentino's always have my emotions well and truly invested each and every time I enjoy one of their books but this one oh boy...I cannot even describe the feeling. I lost count of the amount of heart wrenching, heart warming, heart stopping moments I experienced while reading...and that isn't even lalnof it I laughed, I had a limp in my throat, I got angry, I was shocked and I was enamoured. Let's just add detail after detail that was incredible to include with all the emotion I felt too...

The absolute brilliant companion for an avid Kent fan or a brand new one who wants to get invested

So good and the end of an era and the beginning of the next generation reigns.

A Valentino Reunion was so good to see how T and Holly’s children and grandchildren help their parents have a beautiful retirement from the mafia family. It showed the trials and tribulations of the family. The heartbreak for Holly who had to face her twin sister Reilly dealing with Alzheimer’s. I have enjoyed reading how this family showed so much love for each other. T having to deal with finding out the man who raised him was not his biological father and gaining a sister. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and looking forward to reading about the 3rd generation of Valentinos. I highly recommend reading this series as well as the start with the Merged series.

I have immersed myself into all things Valentino for the past week and was a little excited to see this book, I love to catch up with characters.

However, I did struggle with this, especially around the grandchildren of Holly and T, so many names being thrown at you! They are all in their teens/early 20's and characters that I had no clue who they were - it felt like I was reading in the dark! To be honest, they seem to be immature compared to their parents at a similar age. It was just frustrating.

The story around Holly and her sister was heartwrenching, so be prepared.

Aurora just got on my very last nerve.. .

Overall, it was an okay read, the ending was poignant with T handing the reins over to Theo, it was done with little fanfare and now I feel a little lost!

Yeah This Is Good!

This was just fantastic right from the start, the writer introduces us to the next generation of Valentino's. The story just flows so effortlessly that you just find yourself so caught up in the story that you're surprised when it ends. The story takes us in the inside of a crime family and we find out that they are really human, with ordinary concerns. This was just a good story, and it was wonderful to get to see the characters from previous stories. Now I would tone down Aurora's character a little, she can come off a little annoying. Overall this was one heck of a story and so looking forward to the next episode.

How do you say goodbye? In this instant Im not ready to say goodbye to this family. This family has had my heart since the beginning. I know the third generation is happening but the stories of the main characters are over. The first generation created a bond with me that got me from the beginning. Next was the second generation and I don't even know how to explain their hold. If you haven't read any of Kylies and have no idea where to begin I suggest starting with Devilish King. Trust me you will be hooked as soon as T opens his mouth.

A conclusion, of sorts

I love the Merge series and ALL the spin offs. I thought this was gonna conclude a lot of stories, kind of like closure on the original book characters. Instead it has kinda left it more open ended than before I read it!
It’s a great read; same drama, same over the top over protectiveness, same alpha men and their bosses (their wives!), but it just wasn’t quite the ending I was expecting, and hoping for, to be honest.
100% worth the read though if you’ve followed Kylie’s Merge series’.
I always do enjoy Kylie’s books.

I was so excited to read this book ever since it was announced as Holly & T are my favorite couple that Kylie has written! This book had me bawling my eyes out to laughing out loud back to bawling my eyes out. It was a bittersweet story but I enjoyed reading every page of this book. It was great to "meet" the third generation of Valentinos. Aurora is definitely my favorite grandchild. She was hilarious and unhinged at the same time. There were so many funny moments! Definitely a must read if you have read Kylie Kent's books!

Valentinos are 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The Valentino family! What can you really say about this series that will do it justice? The emotional rollercoaster was strong. From the grandkids mimicking their parents in younger years to Holly and T trying to navigate the mafia family, their family, and figure out why Holly is feeling and acting the way she is. I had a feeling from the start, but I still wasn’t prepared for the tears and heartbreak that started within me. Thank you for writing this reunion story! It was amazing!

Wow, this reunion story gave me all the feels! There were intense, sad, happy and very funny moments. Holly and T, just wow, Neo and Angelica, Bray and Rylie always there no matter what. Theo and Maddie, Matteo and Savvy, Romeo and Lizzy, Luca and Kat their family loyalty and love know no bounds. Their bond as siblings is just so deeply felt. It will definitely touch your heart. Now their kids, laugh out loud for sure. Aurora is a hoot and I hope the author writes her story! Rylie and Bray, I cried.
What a wonderful story. You can't but help to want to more!

It was okay…

There was too much POV and so much going on.
Some of the story lines were average.

There was a lot of emphasis on Lorenzo’s story line.

I was expecting this reunion to be more about the brother’s bond and their family and Theo being the new Don but half of the book was about the grandchildren. the third gen story line might be significant but we were all here for the Valentino brothers. I wish they were given more to this.

This family will go down as the top mob family.

I hate to say goodbye to these characters but it was so nice to ba able to see them one last time. Seeing EVERYBODY in one place was so much fun. I loved getting a glimpse at the third generation and seeing the others as parents/grandparents. I really liked Lorenzo and Kyla together, Dom McKinley didn’t disappoint as an overprotective dad. It would be amazing if we could see more from the newest generation of Valentinos, but if we don’t… this was a sweet albeit slightly sad ending!

F***ing PERFECTION!!

Everything I needed and more! I laughed, I cried (my goodness did I cry), and I fell in love with each of these characters even more.

Kylie, I found out about your books through TikTok and after reading “Devilish King” I went down the rabbit hole that is Kylie Kent books. A little over a month and I have read every single one of your books! Thank you for such wonderful books and I can’t wait for what’s to come ❤️

Loved it! Was hesitant to read the book but reading about the whole family was great. I’ve really come to love Kylie Kent.

I envy each of the relationships the men have with their women. They love them immensely and I wish that’s how relationship were made. The saddest part was learning that Reilly had Alzheimer’s. I wish it showed the ending to it all but hopefully Kylie continues on with her books to see where it leads.

Had to make a grid of the family and what kids belong to who.

This book was everything I wanted it to be and then some. The family bonding, the comedy, the big bad Valentino men being nothing but compliant when it comes to their wives and kids. It was such a treat to see the family in one setting together. The story flowed well even with the multiple POV's we got. My heart breaks for Holly and Reilly with the whole Alzheimer's track. The way the family banded together to support one another. So GOOD!! Now I'm off to read the novellas!

Different but a Good Different

I enjoyed the Valentino family being together and the multiple perspectives. I felt there was more internal drama than external which I wish was a bit more. The only other negative, not really a negative, is that Izzy and her family where her to and there’s barely a mention of them and she’s not in any of the family scenes. Overall it was a nice read.
