Traveling to Barriershire and Landing in the Thieves Guild
I chose the rating 5 for this book because I love it. In the beginning of the book there was sadness. Anais had learned that her mother died. But she also found that the woman and man whom she knew as her mah and dah weren't her real parent. Her mother Anabelle had given them her and told them to hide and protect her. When she did go back to the Great House she had to leave again on a journey with Cedric, Thomas and Clara. They are Lord Seve kids and also her cousins, which they don't know yet. Thomas also had the plague, which with blood magic Anais had cured him of it. During the travels though he came down with a sickness but not a deadly one. The sickness was cured by a healer when they reached Barriershire. They had to work hard to earn money to travel to further. Which Anais couldnt find work, so she started stealing after someone showed her how to do it. One time she had gotten to greedy and wasn't paying attention. So she was caught and brought to the Thieves Guild. She had to go through many trail while there. The book ended with her receiving a letter from Meriada. She is Thomas , Clara and Cedric's cousin and also her cousin. The of the people in the book are measured by stones. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves magic and loves books
I enjoyed this one greatly as the story really starts to get going and the world expands somewhat. I'm glad I bought the bundle as the book is short but at least I can head to book 3 right now.
Short yet interesting. Depends on previous book for continuity and story; it felt like the book was broken up to several smaller editions for increased sales.
