Grey Rabbit wakes up one morning to find a circus tent in her field. She and her friends are invited to a performance given by the animals who have, for the most part escaped captivity to join the curcus. The story is slighter than some of the others in the series, but the illustrations are as delightful as ever.

Kuin tämän suomennettuna (Pikku Harmaakani sirkuksessa). Muistan, etten lapsena innostunut kirjoista, joissa eläimet puhuivat, ja huomaan, että samalla tavoin vierastan näitä tämän lajityypin satuja yhä vieläkin. Mutta olipahan yleissivistävää googlettaa tällainen vuonna 1884 syntynyt kirjailija, josta en ole aiemmin kuullutkaan.
